"While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe his back appeared to be wet, and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and the back of his head."

http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigation/docs/Twin Lakes Shooting Initial Report.pdf

1. TM's friends (see post with article link upthread) said that he would not have picked a fight. Maybe they are all lying, but it makes more sense to me that they are telling the truth and the claim that TM attacked GZ is the lie, especially coming from someone who had good reason to lie.

2. IIRC the police report did not say that GZ had a head injury, only that he had blood on his head.

There are witnesses who saw both of them fighting. So what could you possibly be basing your scenarios on?

I thought the witnesses saw GZ straddling Trayvon, after the shooting, if the witnesses witnessed a fight then they would have also witnessed the shooting ? no ?

Obviously WS considers him a child because his case is in the Crimes - Spotlighting Children's thread.

True dat! I usually just go to the "new posts" :) :seeya:

true.. and he also could have fallen because he was high as a kite or drunk as a skunk but we will NEVER know since a thorough police investigation was never done :banghead:

He could have bumped his nose from his own gun after he fired it. It was said he was touching his head, they didn't test to see if some of it was Tray's blood.

I think what's more glaring is that there is no report of any blood on GZ other than his nose and back of his head.

Where's all of Tray's blood if he fired at that close range, most especially if Tray was on top of GZ when he fired??? It would have been all over GZ.

JMHO

PLEASE....could we try to think through this criticism of this young girl? She was in a different CITY!!!! Which police number was she supposed to call? She could call 911 in her town and say what?????? " I was on the phone with my teen age boyfriend and he is SOMEWHERE in another city....I don't know the address or the name of the neighborhood....his dad's name is Mr. Martin, tho.....and um....well he said he saw someone when he was out walking and the phone call dropped and now he's not answering his phone." WHAT EXACTLY do you think 911 would say to her except don't ever call us again about your boyfriend problems!!!!

JMO....but this girl has NO REASON to lie and the PHONE RECORDS confirm everything she said about the time and the sequence of events she describes even coincides with what Zimmerman said about following Trayvon and about him "running" toward the other direction. The least we can do is NOT trash a poor young girl who is already traumatized by this event. again.....jmo

Thank you! :rocker:

Per JVM, former governor of the state of Florida, Jeb Bush, states that the stand your ground law that he signed is not applicable in this case.

There are many witnesses. Numerous people called 911. Some of them saw the fight. Several describe the two of them "wrestling."

Maybe cause he signed it and now he is feeling the heat?

He may have had a bloody nose and then touched the back of his head ... we will never know the extent of his injuries because a thorough police investigation was NOT done...

But didn't the paramedics treat GZ at the scene? Wouldn't they be able to testify to the extent of his injuries?

I think this is great but it's so SAD how they back away slowly with their tail between their legs when they see the devastation this law can, will and has caused.

THANK YOU.

I could swear we've covered this ground more than once, but thanks for saying it again. :)

Does anyone know what time the original 911 call was made by Zimmerman ?

I've looked everywhere and cannot find that timeline.

I think the use of the word "recorded" was meant to fit this defintion:

4. to serve to relate or to tell of: The document records that the battle took place six years earlier.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/recorded?s=t

I think it's another case of bad reporting and/or poor writing. BBM:

“’Oh he’s right behind me, he’s right behind me again,’” 17-year-old Trayvon Martin told his girlfriend on his cellphone, the Martin family’s attorney said.

The girl later heard Martin say, “Why are you following me?” Another man asked, “What are you doing around here?’” attorney Benjamin Crump said.

The phone call that recorded Martin’s final moments was disclosed as the U.S. Justice Department opened a federal civil rights probe into the Feb. 26 shooting and the local prosecutor convened a grand jury to investigate. A grand jury will meet April 10 to consider evidence, said Seminole County State Attorney Norm Wolfinger.

http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/mar/21/tp-recording-of-teens-phone-call-revealed-as/

I think they were referring to a recording the lawyer made of the girl's account, not a recording of the conversation itself.

And I look forward to hearing all about them in great detail, hopefully with pictures.
