Oh, there's that article again.

I wonder if he is one of the witnesses that called 911.

I wonder also if he is telling the truth, and the other 3 witnesses that have been interviewed are lying.

Or if he is lying and the other 3 witnesses that have been interviewed are telling the truth.

:waitasec:
Or maybe the other witnesses admit they only saw everything after the gunshot, and the witness in that article saw the actual altercation.

I still don't know how in the world Zimmerman stopped screaming for help after such a near death experience? Right after the shot too? That's some brain power right there. He's a lot calmer than I would be after such a frightening experience?

I don't care about any of that. All I was talking about was the 9mm slug and the holes it makes in a body. You have over a 1/3 inch hole going in and usually a lot bigger hole coming out. The cartridge which holds the powder of any bullet come in many different lengths and sizes and is impossible to compare.

A 9mm is a sizable caliber, comparable to a .357 inches. And you are right. The bullet type has a lot to do with the damage. Who knows, may he had a dumdum.

The City of Sanford has posted audio of 8 calls to 911 on its website here:

City of Sanford: Trayvon Martin Investigation

I have not yet located a complete transcription of each call.

Ok, now I'm really confused.

I listened to the 911 calls and don't hear the 911 call from this person who we're now hearing about who says he saw GZ on the bottom , said to stop and he was going to up call 911.

Why wouldn't his 911 call, telling them what he saw be on here with all of the others?

Zimmerman should have come out and spoken for himself. To hide and ask friends to vouch for him is silly. Glad they refused.

At least one person came out to defend him. He was roundly criticized and called a token black friend. No wonder they won't talk.

Yes, and possibly a little quicker, if there is the beginning of the scabbing process, the crusty collegen formation and dried serous fluid, then they may not stitch either but that does not happen in 2 or 3 hours if you have a deep scalp laceration, and no medical person is going to release someone without a lot of documentation if there is a possibility of head trauma, since that can present much later....a good bop on the head, even one that doesn't knock you out is usually a one way ticket to hospital for a cat scan, and some tests, and most often observation.

I remember years ago my brother-in-law was in an accident when he was 17. He was in the back of a friends car that hit a tree and he ducked right where they hit the tree. While he seemed fine while LE was questioning him he suddently made some strange statements and LE assumed he was high on drugs, took him to jail and threw him in a cell where he lay throwing up for hours before someone finally got ahold of his father. My husband was with the PD then and he was called in about his brother being arrested. As soon as my husband saw him he yelled for a medic and knew his brother was not drunk or on drugs. (small town jail). He had a fractured skull and had to be rushed to the hospital. The arresting PD insisted he be drug tested because they were sure he was on drugs. His tests were clean. Better to have them checked out with a head injury, always. You just never know. jmo

But he is so devastated, he has spent his days crying. I guess he's crying so much he just simply cannot make any statements for himself.

You know, I never thought I could hate any person as much as I hate Casey Anthony but I swear, Zimmerman has changed my mind about that. He now tops my #1 spot.
~jmo~
Well I do believe that FCA will be sporting those "fisties" and getting ready to realease a new video diary - cause, ya know, heaven forbid she loose her spot at the top of the most hated person in America.

**sorry - just trying to lighten up all of this - it has been getting to me tonight****

From the accounts, it seems as if he was yelling for help. After he shot Martin, he no longer needed help. He may have even gone into shock. It seems fairly logical to me.

Beautiful! Exactly like I said. Neraly white = grey.

Gray can be "neraly" white, but it could also be nearly black. We will eventually find out...

Then there's that.

Oh. Ok So LE are asking the bad guys questions in the ER and that's were this information is from. Kind of like an informal pole. I wonder how accurate the intel is?

Sometimes they ask the bad guys questions in the ER, sometimes they have to wait, since they are not allowed to just bring in someone who is under arrest and leave them with us, they must be accompanied by an officer at all times, even if the guy they are accompanying is unconscious, and they have to sit and wait, sometimes for hours....sometimes they talk to other LE, and we don't vacate the room, we are working, sometimes they talk to us....But no, it's not an informal poll of any kind,

You asked me how often I knew of people who were carrying a gun legally getting in a fistfight....I told you what my experience has been and how I have that experience, believe it or not, no skin off my nose....

Hmmmm, maybe they're still making one up and they'll post it as soon as they finish. -sarcasm off
Or maybe it's because it's still part of an active investigation and they didn't release it.

as a parent very involved in the school system and well familiar with the many reasons (often hogwash) for which a student may be handed a suspension, it is absolutely ludicrous to suggest that suspension equals a bad kid. i'm shocked to even read such a suggestion here.

imo, moo, etc.

Yikes, I read my quote you posted and realized I left out the word "not"
I meant it does not equal a bad kid. I need to proofread my posts better.

Did anyone else note that the original police report lists Statute 782.11 and reads "Homicide-Neglig/Mansl-Unnecessary Killing to Prevent Unlawful Act"????

Here is a link to that Statute: http://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2011/782.11

I find that VERY interesting.

Who called him a token black friend?? Someone on this forum?

I'm sure everything this man said is true...except the goon thing but maybe, who knows but he seems sincere. And under normal circumstances I think if we met GZ we would instantly like him. But most people agree that poor judgment and a gun don't mix well. jmo

FROM HARD COPY of todays Orlando Sentinel

(no link, it's from actual paper)

Sunday, March 25, 2012 Orlando Sentinel

Official: Suspension wasn't for tardiness

By David Weber

<snipped>

"But Miami-Dade Public Schools spokesman John Schuster told the Orlando Sentinel that the school district "does not suspend for tardinss."

He also said: "No one has been suspended this year for tardiness at Krop."

According to the Florida Department of Education, schools are not permitted to suspend students for tardiness under a state law that spells out that "no student shall be suspended for unexcused tardiness, lateness, absence, or truancy."

<snipped>

Looks like some one is lying about why Martin was suspended. And people are claiming it's the SFD doing all the lying?

JMHO

We have become a society of excuses.

I was late to work becuse my dog got loose.
I couldn't do my homework because my mom wanted me to go grocery shopping with her.
I hit the guy in front of me becuase he stopped short because the guy going the other way didn't see the stop sign.
It wasn't me mom - the dog did it.
The cat ran in front of me and I spilled everything.

Seems there is always an excuse of why we didn't really mean to break the law - it was because of some other factors or people around us.

Frankly, I'm tired of it. Personal accountability. That really doesn't exist anymore. Its always someone else's fault.

The old saying of "ignorance is no excuse for the law" should be on a billboard in every town.

JMHO but we have evolved into a civilization that has a reason for everything (regardless of lawful or not) we do. Its not always that cut and dried. Plus it makes it easier for the criminals that do set out to commit crimes to excuse their criminal acts.

I had children that were hungry - therefore I needed to rob the 7-11 to feed my kids.

It has to stop. All the law-abiding citizens are kicked to the curb when we start having compassion for the criminals by saying "well, he had a good excuse" or "he didn't have much of a choice".

We make choices everyday. Our lives are made by choices. From getting up in the morning and deciding on what we are going to wear or or eat right up to when we lay our head on the pillow every night - choices.

GZ made some very bad choices and he should be held accountable for them.

JMHO

And then we pass oodles of legislation to sanction such behavior.
