Arrest them!

No really, I have no idea?

I would think a serious investigation into the whole group? At least?
Well, I would imagine that SPD would be chastized, fined and quite a few heads would roll, but other than that - how would they go about investigating this crime? They would talk to the EMT that treated GZ and the ME and EMT's that handled Trayvon's body - but as far as having hard copy proof of anything - well nope - they ain't getting that - its gone for good.

Sadly, I'm afriad this may be the route that the FBI investigation is going to take.

Really I have no idea what the media requested but that web page is not labeled for media release and it is on the city website and they posted it with all the names, phone numbers and addresses of the victims.

They blocked out all the names of the witnesses and addys and phone numbers in the partial reports they posted on the site.
I would speculate that it's included because there was a specific request from the media; that's what the rest of the stuff on the page looks like. It is odd that they did not censor the names and addresses, though.

In other news, while peering around the website it looks like they're going to have a press conference tomorrow at 5:00:

So, students CAN be suspended for TARDIES. Hopefully, that puts this issue to rest?

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...kvHxAQ&usg=AFQjCNGhfcV1C_S7IJQn9S5w4PZ7INDUMQ

Welp, I'm never trusting a hard copy claim again. I knew that couldn't be true as my niece is 17-years-old and I knew you could be suspended for that?

Give me a few minutes to locate rossva's initial response quoting the OS hard copy but IIRC -

What was said by the school official was that he was confirming that they had not suspended anyone (recently) for unexcused absences/tardies. Which is far different than saying they can't do it. Maybe they can, but they have not.

Make sense?

Now I will go dig up that post and make sure I didn't just speak out of turn. lol

No m00c0w - there is a City Commission meeting scheduled for tomorrow - a regularly scheduled meeting. Lots of people from down here plan on attending and have already arranged for the busses. This press release is just detailing how they plan on handling all the cameras and media requests to film the meeting.

That's what I am afraid of? Hopefully any cameras in the complex were not recorded over? It was 3 weeks later though? If the dash cams were on, they may have caught something?

I just realized that it is March 26th... one month ago Trayvon was killed.

He had time to think about health insurance?

I don't have health insurance and one night I was home by myself and my heart started palpitating and I was really dizzy and I called 911 and they came, took my blood pressure, did an EKG, and took me to the hospital because my blood pressure was really high. I didn't even think about health insurance.

In the end, it was a panic attack. I thought I was having a heart attack.

But, maybe I'm just not as calm as George Zimmerman when it comes to my health?

Man, I hate to see your bill. Hope they had some mercy on you.
Anyway, not the same. I am sure GZ did not have a panic attack in fear of his life after the shooting. Rather a fear of how to avoid any criminal charges. Had to think fast on his feet what to tell LE. Hence the no response to witnesses and the walking around the body for some seconds/minutes.

I believe that the tardy matter was old. I will be forward and say that I don't have the links to support this in front of me, but I did read it. It might take a minute to dredge it all back up.

I have seen two reports of two suspensions under two different timespans. One, a teacher confirmed that Martin had been suspended for 5 days due to tardies. This appeared to have been an older suspension. Trayvon's dad also confirmed that he was currently suspended for 10 days due to what could be called a trespass violation at school.

Now let me see if I can find my sourcing...

I'm sorry, that was the wrong link:

"Trayvon Martin’s family will address those assembled during the meeting"

It was 600 dollars just for the ambulance and it's literally a 5 minute walk from my house. It was brutal! I wasn't thinking about it though when I felt like I was having a heart attack? I don't know if I would react differently now that I know how much it cost? I don't want to find out either.

Ah - thank you. However this is still being considered a city commission meeting. They've moved it to a larger venue that can seat a lot more people.

Interesting - they include what can and can not be brought in and say that all hand held bags will be searched. They ain't taking any chances.

They are also going to have a jumbotron set-up in the park so those who can't get a seat inside will be able to watch it there.

Here we go:

Still, Martin had non-violent behavioral issues in school, and on the day he was killed, he had been suspended for 10 days from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in North Miami-Dade.

"He was not suspended for something dealing with violence or anything like that. It wasn't a crime he committed, but he was in an unauthorized area (on school property)," Tracy Martin said, declining to offer more details.

Martin's parents kept a close eye on him, but they didn't have to be too strict, since he stayed out of trouble, Collins said. However, he had recently been suspended from school for five days for tardiness, his English teacher, Michelle Kypriss, told the Orlando Sentinel. School officials did not respond to a request for comment.

I don't see how we can consider this article a reliable source of information without having the actual copy of the article posted which can be very easily done by scanning the article and then posting it. For all we know, the article could say the sky is green and the grass is blue. Without knowing the context in which the comments are reported, it could change the meaning of the entire article.

Apparently there are additional 911 tapes that haven't been released, according to Zimmerman's friend who just started speaking publicly.

http://gma.yahoo.com/trayvon-martin-shooter-couldnt-stop-crying-shooting-112227880--abc-news.html

How would the friend know anything about unreleased 911 calls? Did he get that information from Zimmerman's attorney? Has Trayvon Martin's family been able to listen to these "unreleased" 911 calls? Do they even know about them? If they don't know about these calls, and Zimmerman's friend knows about them, I would be really upset.

Well, according to some posters here, the child should politely and humbly answer whatever question the big strange man asks.

That is total BS. I taught my now adult son and daughter to give a good kick in the nether regions why approached by a stranger with no legal authority and silly questions. Works better than a bloody nose.

Trayvon Martin's dad thanks Heat for 'taking notice'

"I saw a post that D-Wade had saying, `I am Trayvon Martin,"' Tracy Martin said. "To see all these athletes put Trayvon in the same sentence with them, it feels real good. Trayvon was an excellent athlete and if he could hear them saying his name, he would be so moved by it."

I know the attorney and the friend keep saying don't know anything, but I don't believe that at all. And since this friend is doing interviews everywhere, it's possible he knows things that the attorney knows.

And I agree, I hope the family knows about the other tapes IF they exist.

I can agree with this, but aren't paramedic's supposed to take in people who are showing obvious signs of shock? Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know?

Not against their will unless they are unconscious.
