Do you guys think he would kill her? It seems like he almost wanted a relationship with her. He had already humanized her. Just thinking out loud

Sadly, I think that while she apparently wanted a relationship with him, it was something different that he wanted from her. :(

The parents of Diana Alvarez believe a man questioned by law enforcement in her disappearance may have driven to Arizona and back since she’s been missing.

Wow, where did this come from? AZ is approximately (give or take) 2000 miles away. Wasn't JG' car found abandoned several days after Diana went missing. And why would he return?

So what is in AZ that he would need to go to ? That's much farther than he needed to go to get to the border and he clearly did not need to get to the border since he was found in FL.

I wonder what makes them think Arizona if LE indicated this to them.

That would be a lot of driving in 5-6 days and fairly expensive. A lot of fuel and bathroom breaks along the way.

Is there a reason they suspect he went there? Ties to the area? Family there? Rumored sightings?

Well, it takes approximately 30 hours of drive time one way to Arizona. So, 60 hours total. That would be some serious trekking in the amount of days she has been gone! And on top of that, Louisiana has license plate readers. They will know if he entered the state. I was following a case here and they were positive she had not left the state in her car. That's when I found out about the plate readers!

I'm still waiting for some solid info about who had this child, what was the purpose and where is she. He certainly wouldn't take her to someone else in Arizona, if he was a pedophile. He would keep her! Bringing her to AZ would be more indicative of delivering her to someone for something. That could involve any countless number of people being involved.

All of this is very bad.

Ha! We all talked about the drive time/ distance at the same time. We must be on to something! lol.

Still stuck on my motto for this case---- "Bits and pieces, none of them fit."

Well, if a PI has info that JG traveled to AZ in the last week, so do the LE. This is getting even stranger.

It would be a lot of driving. It would be at minimum 66 hours round trip. Surely if he did go to Arizona and they can figure out what vehicle they used, they could track the vehicle. I am hoping he was too stupid to turn his cell phone off, too but I bet he got a burner.

Google maps shows 33 hours to Phoenix: https://goo.gl/maps/UQ3ibw1KyvL2

So he would have had enough time, even with a few stops.

Maybe they pinged the phone he was using to Arizona but he didn't have the phone with him?!?

Agreed. What a bizarre twist.....What next?

What would be the point of dropping her off and returning when he doesn't even have a job (?). Could he have sold her
Sadly what I was thinking. Where in Arizona I wonder, close to Mexican border?

Interesting. Money to hire a private investigator?!? Maybe they know someone that is helping them. Maybe tomorrow we'll hear more about the court hearing, but probably just to charge him, and see if he needs a lawyer. I'm thinking LE has lots of depts. working this case, and lots being done behind the scenes! Afterall, they had the car before the Amber Alert! So, they are steps ahead, and know a heck of lot more than we do! Bring Diana Home!

He said he was in Orlando when the initial call was made by Diana's mother, if he was in transit at that time... then he should be
able to be tracked by cell pings. Hmmm, if this is the case, I don't think JG thought he would ever be suspected.

According to the article, the family seems to believe he has connections there, friends or family who might have been willing to take her.

Why would his family be wiling to take a kidnapped child?
