There was a serial rapist in Tulsa that broke into homes with the parents asleep and raped their daughters right outside their window in some cases. He wasn't selective. He also raped women. His youngest victim was 2 years old. The parents of on slept through it and were unaware until the child woke them after being returned to her bed. He got away with this for 4 years until he was finally caught.

Suspected Serial Rapist Sentenced

I remember that ...thats why i posted before that maybe the gf was the target to begin with, thats why he went to the main bedroom.

Gf was asleep with the boy, so haleigh in bed alone was just a spare of the moment thing.

What if...ok...a big what if...dad comes home from work...extremely tired from working a long shift...all ready to climb in bed only to find it wet where Haleigh wet bed? Couple that with tiredness/anger issues. A big what if...but who knows???
Again...No one said Haleigh wet the bed! It was probably the little brother. The blanket smelled like it, but no one said which child peed on it. (Haven't we been through this before?)

Blanket Talk Revised

"I put Haleigh to bed at 8, because that is her bedtime on school nights. Her blanket smelled like urine, and mine was in the van that Ronald took to work, so I covered her with a sheet and washed her blanket. When it was clean and dried I went in to the bedroom, covered her up, and then laid down and fell asleep. "

 Thanks for clearing that up!

Thank you, I finally understand ! :)

Just out of curiosity, sorry if it's been covered...WHY would the gf's blanket have been in the van?

This guy is one reason I know it is possible someone could have come into the room and taken Haleigh without her waking up to find him there. Other perps have done it repeatedly and not been caught!

If the gf was the intended target I doubt the perp would have been thwarted by two sleeping children.

Good Question!
I wonder if they had been down to the river, and took a blanket to sit on or something..another reason for the dogs to pick up the scent? Maybe they just didn't get it out of the van?

I would like to Yahoo Map the house where Ronald and the GF lived in. Does anyone know the address or street?
I believe it is on Green Lane in Satsuma, FL. I don't know the house number.

No problem :)

Just out of curiosity, sorry if it's been covered...WHY would the gf's blanket have been in the van?

Good question.

My theory of the van being what Ronald took to work is simply what makes the most sense as far as what the heck she was talking about. I don't want anyone to think it's a fact.

Yes, add to that all the "double-talking" about blankets....

"Ok-- i put her to bed about, you know, eight, o'clock cause that's her bedtime, she has school. I put her to bed and...her blanket and my blanket. My blanket was in the van that they took. So we had a blanket hanging on the window and I had to wash that--and her blanket--her blanket was-- was she-had peed on her blanket the night before, i guess, and i was gonna put it on her but it smelled like pee. So i washed her blanket and i gave her a little sheet to cover up with (voice breaks) and she fell asleep and I went--come in there and put her blanket on her and then I laid down."
Maybe the perp could see through the window on this night because she took the blanket off the window to use since she had left her blanket in the van? did that make sense? and I guess I missed why her blanket was in the van...and who took the van? thanks

I would have to disagree. If the object was rape, rape is about control, control is sought by those that are weak and rapists are the weakest, most cowardly of the bunch. JMO.

Makes sense to me.

I believe here she is talking about LE taking the blanket. (She also wasn't sure who peed on the blanket and assumed it was Haleigh.)

The father or girlfriend being upset over bedwetting was my first thought when I heard the girlfriend talking about blanket washing.

If you go to Putnam County Fl. court records. Do a search on cummings%
scroll down to Ronald Lemyles Cummings..there is a record of a long court
battle that includes violence toward children, domestic violence, parenting
classes, children removed from home and on Feb. 9th 2009 there is a
CONTEMPT OF COURT filed. So Feb. 10th on the heals of the "contempt of
court" the daughter is missing. Could this be a coincidence?

I don't follow. Plenty of women have been victimized by rapists in front of their children, my point was merely to state that if the perp intended to target the gf it is likely he would not have been put off by the presence of defenseless children. Which is why I believe that in the event there was an intruder he was very well aware of who he was planning on victimizing, the aforementioned defenseless child.

There was also another case ( a couple of years ago) where sisters slept in bunk beds. The perp sexualy assaulted the young child sleeping in the bottom bunk while the older sister slept in the top bunk.

I remember back then people where suss on the family (father and uncle), saying that couldnt happen she would wake upblah blah blah

BUT dna was left by the perp and they caught the guy because he was a registered SO.

What doesn't sound right about it is that she said she awoke a little before 3, and discovered Haleigh missing. Then she "frantically" (yes that word is used, but doesn't sound like her) searched for her, and her dad got home "5" minutes later. However, dad didn't get home until 3:27 or 3:30 and told her to call 911 immediately, which she said she did. So there is at least 22 missing minutes in her story.
just saying
imo

This has puzzled me too.
