Why are people checking out the families of this couple? What do they have to do with this little girl missing? It never fails..a child goes missing and the parents and families get torn to shreds for no good reason. Why not stick to finding this little girl? Isn't that what this forum is all about!

Yes, that is their culture and there is nothing wrong with it. Keep the women barefoot and pregnant...like that doesn't happen in the cities that we live in.
Get a grip for pity sake. I know a lot of families that have more children then they can probably afford but it isn't me raising them so it's none of my business.

My dad was raised in Arkansas and I'm sure that some of you would have some very negative things to say about the people there. I don't live in the south but I live in redneck country and love it. Good people live here and most don't run around with a stick up their rears thinking they are so much better then other people. That is how some of you are coming off. If everyone doesn't live the way you think they should then they are a step below you. How judgmental.

None of us know this father or how he lives or anything about him or about his girlfriend. I doubt that he is abusive...he was very angry, upset, and scared to death when he found his daughter missing. Yes, he called his girlfriend a bad name which doesn't mean he does it all of the time so don't assume. Who knows how you would act if your child disappeared from her bedroom. It just amazes me how judgmental and goody goody some people are on here. I'll bet everyone here has skeltons in their closet and would hate for them to come out on a forum. Give this family a break and focus on the little girl that this is supposed to be about instead of picking everyone apart.
great post !!

I guess the simple answer is because that's what the police do...look at all involved and sleuths....well.

Really? I am being completely serious when I ask you, but I am surprised anyone would find these families to be normal. The long criminal histories, drug use, underage minors playing house with adult men, numerous children from different fathers, strange mannerisms and behavior, not attending school, etc, all seem very odd to me.

You might be surprised over what goes on behind closed doors in AFFLUENT neighborhoods.

Although with shows like "Celebrity Rehab", I don't think it should be that surprising. Christie Brinkley has kids by different dads. Angelina Jolie doesn't believe in marriage. Zsa Zsa has been arrested. So have Naomi Campbell, Heather Locklear, Mel Gibson and NUMEROUS others. Paris Hilton actually served time.

What amazes me is how MONEY makes a difference in how behaviors are perceived.

Check out the Smoking Gun Mugshots section...low class behavior from every class. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/mugshots/index.html

Exactly, that's my problem. But It's not fair to the people involved for my problem to reflect badly on them.

I'm trying to separate out behaviors by family members and behaviors by the actual principles.

Ron
Crystal
Misty

These are the three the children actual answered to, these are the "acting parental units". I would like to know what is going on with them personally as opposed to their other family members.

Next if Crystals fiance' Chad resides in the same home as the children when they visit.

Then the Gparents and aunts, uncles, various cousins and friends.

We know Ron is working full time, Misty said (somewhere here) that she hadn't gone to school in quite sometime, she had scheduled an appt for GED classes but she didn't show up.

Crystal has a new baby, she bought a home? according to a sworn statement by her dad. She lost her minimum wage job as a server. Has she found new employment? Is she current in her child support?

The lifestyles here are so foreign to most of us it's almost impossible to be fair and open minded about these children's living arrangements. Most of the immediate female friends and relatives are early 20's with 2-3 small children each. Most of the guys are a few years older than the "women" they are associated with, in marriage, children or just cohabitating. Which basically boils down to 16-17 y o females hooking up with 20-21 y o males and very quickly starting a family together.

According to the ongoing custody case, Crystal is behind in the child support she's obligated to pay. On the day that Haleigh disappeared, a contempt of court was filed in their custody case.

I put a copy of the court docket in the custody case in the media and document thread at the top of this forum.

How does that verse go "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?" I got no rocks man.:)

ETA....Discussing a criminal case is not judging. It's sleuthing.....lol Thought I better point that out.

Isn't it easy to justify our behavior when we feel the need.
