I think he knew where Haleigh was, and he wanted her and her only.

It would also go hand in hand that Misty may have unintentionally facilitated his access to her because he accessed the home while Daddy was at work and she was there.

Also its been corrected many times, but it keeps getting repeated over and over that Crystal was 14 when she had Haleigh. Crystal was 18 when she had Haleigh and Crystal is 23 yrs old. IMO the age has nothing to do with Haleighs disappearance, but each time the age is brought up it starts another discussion of Ron like young girls and whats legal and illegal. So hoping those that had missed it early would see the correction this time around.

I want to think this is an abduction but there is this voice in the back of my head that says the police are not responding and searching in a way that indicates they believe she has been taken by a stranger.

Yeah, I missed the gf killing Haleigh theories, which is odd, because she is the one that I have some issues believeing in all this.
For some reason, even though I normally assume the father had something to do with it in cases like this, I'm just not getting the "Daddy did it" vibe.
When I heard the 911 call the first time, the first thing I said was, "finally, a real parent." My opinion hasn't changed.

I have no idea exactly what happen but when you look at the docket there are subpoena from SA meaning this was handle at the state level. He may have taken a deal to testify against higher ups in the food chain or inform by setting up others to make sales to Narc agents or get a Narc agent into the group. Any of these could result in him not going to jail. The fact that he had other charges later and nothing ever happened may also go alone with this idea. Kind of a get out of jail free card for helping LE out. Your basically getting your own a$$ arrested on purpose but you know you won’t really go to jail.
Example. He's in with a supplier and makes arrangement to take a delivery. Sets up the place, time; Narc give him marked money that can be used in court to prove it was for drugs, he makes the buy and in comes LE. He gets busted, booked just like the rest of them. His case gets delayed and delayed and finally shows a no plea charge, gets fined which he never really has to pay and goes on to the next set up. The record has to stay because if it goes away its a big sign to the others that he set them up in the first place and he won’t be able to get away with it again.
I have no direct knowledge that this is the case or that this is what was done only I know how it works so when I looked at the dockets it made me wonder. Nancy Botwin posted about because she noticed the same thing from a legal standpoint.

He knew this man knew exactly where to go and get in and out quick.

How did he know the layout of the house as it pertained to bedding? Because he's been in the house before.

How did he enter a door, any door, without causing any damage to the said door? Either he has a key, or he can pick a deadbolt with such skill that an unskilled eye cannot see damage.

I really really really really really want to know WHO came with the brother and nephews that afternoon to play. THAT is our "key".

Small town, EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY!!!! The POI came with the brother. They (Misty, bro and "friends") are all sitting on the porch or outside so they can watch the kids while they play. POI excuses himself - has to go to bathroom. Goes inside BY HIMSELF - commits layout (including bedding) to memory and UNBOLTS that deadbolt - leaving door knob handle lock locked (those can be picked with a credit card). Or - the AC man left the door unlocked and Misty just didn't check it.

As for the POI got a couple of ways I'm leaning with this. Could be that it was a "former friend" that dad ratted on - dude does time - its been 7 years now - could have just gotten out recently - and SMALL TOWN - could have been friends with dudes that came over with brother or whatever. Also, what if there's this rivalry over ex? Could Haleigh actually been SOD's child? Could there have been a question about that?

The diagram of the inside of the house: is that a "for sure" diagram, because the double wide has a modular home chimney for what could be a fireplace and the diagram size does not add up to the visual size I am seeing of the doublewide. (speaking from experience... was raised in double-wides, one with a fireplace in the den... in the south... with so-called bad schools. Mind you, I have a mensa level IQ and held my own on the deans list all through college. ) Anyhow, I think the doublewide has a different kind of layout than the diagram posted with the doublewide pic. JMO

I'm following that along in my mind too Short_stuff. Over the day or so, I've started to refine where my mind is taking me. First, as I said before in a post above I want to know if someone had a key. Shadow of my mind directed me to a post in a previous thread that will help me figure out about the landlord situation.

Then, even though I said I don't think that Misty did anything to Haleigh. I don't think she directly hurt her.

Misty just may be the key, I have felt that all along.

She may have unknowingly facilitated the access this man had to Haleigh. She may not even be aware that is what happened. Just a thought.

I somewhat have to support what you said.....there are obvious reasons for this to consider: from my own experiences with women I go to group with in a Domestic Violence Support Group....it is more likely his attraction is because its a domination & control thing. Most women in his age group, would not only be above him emotionally & mentally, .... they wouldnt put up with his lifestyle or how he treats them. Remember what he said when LE got there.....thats a very telling sign that their relationship is NOT equal by any means. Thats untilmately verbal abuse and the GF is too young yet to know that that isnt acceptable. Women at his age or older, more than likely would not appreciate that.[/quote]

Really a great analysis. I agree with everything you have said. I don't know why exactly, unless it's because of my experience with these kind of things as a victims advocate, I have my hinky meter up sky high with the father. Something feels very close to home about this thing...JMO

are you saying you see a chimney in the "real" picture of the actual home?
