The diagram of the inside of the house: is that a "for sure" diagram, because the double wide has a modular home chimney for what could be a fireplace and the diagram size does not add up to the visual size I am seeing of the doublewide. (speaking from experience... was raised in double-wides, one with a fireplace in the den... in the south... with so-called bad schools. Mind you, I have a mensa level IQ and held my own on the deans list all through college. ) Anyhow, I think the doublewide has a different kind of layout than the diagram posted with the doublewide pic. JMO

:waitasec: Perhaps Elphaba, I also see clearly a double window in the actual photo of their house, in the layout there isnt a window past the kitchen. I also see a flue on the roof, indicating either a FP or furnace. I am looking for bathroom stacks on the roof, I only see one so far,,,,,,but from my own experience the newer m.homes have 2 bathrooms. *Look at the skylights and window placements,..... Wish we knew the make & year of this home. There are so many models out there.

I think that is a normal human reaction, not pretty, but normal. It is a self protect mode. It is too emotionally exhausting to look at every tragedy and think OMG that could happen to me. My whole life could unravel at any moment and it would be totally out of my control. It is much more comfortable to sit back and say they did all of the following things wrong and if they hadn't done so they wouldn't be where they are today.

No red, you can't be speaking of me anyway. I, for one, am not "emotionally exhausting" myself considering every conceivable scenario because we can't raise our children in a bubble. But there genuinely ARE things we can do and many obvious things--as parents/grandparents--to protect our children from the dangers of predators, abuse, drugs etc which many parents do not even practice. It isn't an "excuse" or "more comfortable to sit back and say others did (X, Yand Z) wrong" and it isn't about blaming! Merely anticipating dangers and considering what steps we can take as parents to keep our kids safe is called being responsible. JMO

After turning the light on,how did he know he wouldn't wake somebody up opening the doors and looking? By the time he got to the master bedroom somebody could be loaded and waiting.

If the house has the same floor plan as the diagram posted here, why would he need to turn on the kitchen light since the master bedroom door was right around the corner from the kitchen wall? To me it's just too risky since I'm assuming by "kitchen light" she means one on the ceiling?

I don't think it's the best relationship either but there are a lot of people (especially in their age group) who just use that language all the time without it meaning anything to them. And angry or not I never would've used the "f word" when talking to the 911 operator. MOO

Slightly OT, but I couldn't help but think he had followed Caylee's case (who hadn't heard about her in FL.?) when he stated "I don't care if this is recorded". (Can't blame him for the comment he made either.)

A scenerio that has ran through my mind since I found out that the front door was open and now its been running through mind since the scent pick up was that what if Haleigh slept walkz? Maybe she slept walk out the front door(Or even the backdoor) and walked to the railroad tracks and then was abducted OR went to the railroad tracks, turned back around, and then walked to the pond and fell in?

I'm not sure if this still applies, but I heard/read that Haleigh was sleeping close to the tv. What if the tv was left of a cartoon network? The cartoon music would probably lead someone to believe children were in there.

And maybe the tv was left ON, and loud enough to override any noise the intruder made?

What solutions do we have so far?
1. Father took her somewhere alive to keep her away from mother and family.
Work was a solid alibi and he seems awfully sincere
2. Father snapped and killed her for what ever reason before he left and had gf clean up the mess.
Again, if this is true he should get an Oscar

5. Mother took her either out of a twisted sense of love or to get out of her child support obligation...or even for spite.
*Possible, but I doubt she did it personally*
6. Complete stragner abduction...albeit an inept, very lucky stranger.
*Also possible, but given the protected location of the home, not as likely as a perp that knows the area*
7. Haleigh wandered off on her own sometime during the night and is either deceased in the water or woods or is alie somewhere wandering lost.
I don't see it. She would have been found by now. If she got lost, I feel she would have cried or made a noise.
8. Stranger abduction due to drug debts or gambling debts from the side of the grandparents or parents.
I personally feel the drug dealing theory is overstated. The dad and Misty probably just smoke a joint every now and then.
9. Abduction by member's of gf's family for unknown reasons.
*If the brother is a perv, this is plausible, otherwise, nothing to see here*
10. Abduction by mother's family either with or without mother's knowledge.

I really really really really really want to know WHO came with the brother and nephews that afternoon to play. THAT is our "key".

Small town, EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY!!!! The POI came with the brother. They (Misty, bro and "friends") are all sitting on the porch or outside so they can watch the kids while they play. POI excuses himself - has to go to bathroom. Goes inside BY HIMSELF - commits layout (including bedding) to memory and UNBOLTS that deadbolt - leaving door knob handle lock locked (those can be picked with a credit card). Or - the AC man left the door unlocked and Misty just didn't check it.

As for the POI got a couple of ways I'm leaning with this. Could be that it was a "former friend" that dad ratted on - dude does time - its been 7 years now - could have just gotten out recently - and SMALL TOWN - could have been friends with dudes that came over with brother or whatever. Also, what if there's this rivalry over ex? Could Haleigh actually been SOD's child? Could there have been a question about that?

I'm following you Swag. Now that is a tidbit to chew on (your last paragraph) I'm not there...yet. I'm do think this is someone they know. Someone who just happened to pop by when the crew did with the kids.

I do like your take that it could have been as simple as "man, can i take a leak"? "Sure, go 'head". He scopes it out, unlocks the door and comes back for Haleigh later that night.

Until LE comes out with a public warning of a Perp loose in that county, and asks to call in suspicious activity, asks that people check in on the elderly, ask people to make sure their doors are locked, I will assume that they know exactly what is going on and just will not say until prelims from evidence comes back..

LE in Little Rock never warned anyone that a serial rapist/burglar and murderer was casing the Heights where Anne Pressly was murdered...

Yes, there is only one bathroom in the actual home. I am not seeing any chimney vents, stacks, flus, whatever on either picture.

Now, mind you the layout may be a 2006 or 2007 model and the actual home looks much older - I would venture to say late 80's maybe early 90's. So, with the diagram layout - there may be subtle differences - like the windows on the kitchen - also notice the 3rd bedroom in the diagram has a window on the back wall and the actual home doesn't have a window there - just an older model. Skylights look like they have been "owner added". That front porch has seen MUCH better days and looks to be at least 10 yrs old - if not older. I think the diagram layout is VERY VERY close to the actual layout of the home.
