There is a carpet cleaning company and a heating/AC company here that advertise that they do criminal background checks on all of their employees. They don't specifically state SOs, nor so they say that they don't hire them, just say that they check. I would like to think they would be safe. We also have the ability here to search specific addresses, so you can check to see if there are any SOs working for a company.

That's nice to know. I have seen several ads here that state they do not hire illegals because we're close to the border.

The BioMother Crystal said on Nancy Grace the other night that Haleigh had missed a lot of school. She said a comment something like that Ronald said Haleigh had to go to school b/c if she missed anymore days that HE would be arrested. My question for all of you is WHY would they arrest him for that? I remember when BioMOm was asked about this that she wouldn't really answer the question.

I just found that odd.

I know Alabama has truancy laws, and will come after the parents if kids miss too much school...maybe it is similar? Don't know...

Jeremy Miller was arrested 3/22/2005 and was sentenced in 2/2006 to 8 years in prison. He isn't going anywhere for awhile. I'm sure I posted his court records somewhere in the spaghetti of these threads (please please please may we have a forum?).

We don't know if Jeremy is Misty's cousin. We don't even know if he's ever stepped foot in Tennessee.

And, quite frankly, whatever Jeremy did to Misty, I'll bet it was more than just "messing" around. He was 17 at the time of his arrest and now he's doing 8 years. In the past few days I've seen many other court records for the same offense by much older men and these men are walking around on probation.

What screams at me about this late-breaking news the most is: WHY DIDN'T MISTY COME CLEAN WITH THIS INFORMATION 4 DAYS AGO???

And what else is she hiding?

My reaction to his histrionics (that included falling to the ground a few times) was this guy is definitely high as a kite..I know that doesn't make me a "truth wizard", lol, & it didn't make me believe he was guilty either at that time..I haven't read the rest yet but I'm sure once I do I'll be back to either agree or disagree!

I was "confused" over his actions in that interview as well. But, I went with it in a different direction. I think dad is very immature as well. Don't get me wrong - he is very very controlling - but a child as well. Before Misty was in the picture, I think his mama was babysitter/caregiver for the children. He didn't have to be bothered - mama took care of it. Then he meets Misty - and this I would still love to know - HOW DID THESE TWO MEET? Under what circumstances, when, where? Just like someone else we have come to know quite well - dad thinks this is his chance to "get out on his own" - so he and Misty set up house.

IIRC I heard they have been together for about 5 months and lived in that trailer for 4 - so "shacking up" happened fairly quickly. Who and where was Misty living before this? I don't think she was living with her mother - IDK why I think that - I just do. Maybe she was staying with whatever sibling would have her for a couple of days at a time? Or did she have a bf?

And RC isn't screaming this info to LE on 911, nor is it in the police report, and he certainly never said any of this in the media, and he's hanging around instead finding that specific person??!!

Many school districts / states have laws where parent's are held responsible if there child misses XX number of days. I know in my good ole' state of Texas, my son's school district, there are truancy laws and they aren't taken lightly...even when he was in high school.

Appparently Misty gave LE all the info on her molester and LE showed her pictures of a person with the same last name and she said that wasn't the guy...that's how I understood it anyway.

Around here, DC area, there are certain companies like that which advertise that their employees have all passed background checks prior to employment, carpet cleaning services, etc...

They have just enacted new tougher laws on school attendance. Too many juveniles are skipping and committing crime during the day. The public schools take this very seriously and it is automatic (computerized) that when a child reaches some many unexcused absences - a report is forwarded to the DA's office for prosecution. At the elementary level - you are given some leeway - Haleigh had documentation of her condition - so I don't understand why so much pressure was being put on dad - but, then again, we don't know how many days she had missed either.

I wondered the same thing if their relationship pre-dates move-in at trailer (by one month?) just how these 2 met. It could be significant. Then again, everyone seems to rent from and/or be related to everybody else around there. JMO
