I sure hope not but the though did cross my mind. With all of the 'fame' of the Caylee case and donations that were made I am hoping that someone didn't get the idea to fake a kidnapping thinking that theyt could cash in on it.

With all of the media interviews with them it just makes me fearful that some dumb a$$ will think it's great and and figure they will be the next star.

Speaking of next star....look at this "friend" on Crystals myspace.... he blogs about Darlie R. and the like.

Chrystal has 185 pictures on MySpace most of them are pictures of herself. or a new baby named Chloe.

About 1 page is her car that was trashed in an accident and the bruises she received.

There were about 6 pictures of Haleigh...

Could this all be a hoax?

I'm not sure yet Lancelot, I was just sitting here tossing that idea around myself.

On another note, did the bio-mom add an additional bunch of pics to her myspace after we started digging in it or did I SOMEHOW manage to miss the fifty pics of that car accident??? I would swear all those pics were not there earlier this afternoon. Why on earth would she do that.....NOW?

Whoever put that block there to open the door obviously knew that the door was a pain in the rear, they had to have opened it from the inside (which is what I think given the father said he locked it before he went to work)
Someone help me to understand why the 17 year old isn't with the boyfriend tonight? That part also sends up red flags. If this is a caring 17 year old, she would be by his side, or at least be there to help with the other child. I don't understand why she would be with her family now, unless the FBI had to release her to her parents since she is a minor..
I sure hope something comes up during the night and this little girl is found..I'm so sick of people harming children..

That's what it says on his Myspace. On Myspace profiles now, underneath your username it has your "real name" typed that you use when you register. It's a little hard to see on his profile because of his background, but if you look you should be able to see it. It clearly says "Chad Griffis" as his real name. You could try viewing it with a "basic page style" (without the background and everything) if you're using FireFox and you should be able to see it.

I just checked out Chad's MySpace page and it's a mess! Very difficult to read, but at the top of the page, where it says "Chad", if you click on that you get a list of options.......one is "blog", and if you click on that it goes to his profile and it says, Chad Griffis.

I've seen Haleigh's maternal grandmother listed as Marie Griffis and Marie Griffith.

None of the stories are matching up. They keep changing their stories. I am now thinking hoax.

One of the grandmom's (don't know which) said that gf was "not supposed to be around the family"!!!

Don't know what that actually means - but I thought it was strange too - we have seen or heard NOTHING in way of this gf.

I don't remember seeing them earlier either, but, if you look at the first photo it has a comment on it that was posted on October 24th, 2008. So, the photos were obviously put up before that date.

Just listening to the replay of Nancy Grace - hearing the Dad talk about not knowing where the cinder block came from - that he didn't go out in the back too often - he rents and does not know what the previous tennants had around...

Prevoius tennants???? Sounds like someone who'd be way comfortable in the place at night - no? A good place to look sleuthers?

That is what I said. Happened to me years ago. Guy was drunk and let himself into the apartment we had only been in for a few days. Of course it was an honest if drunken mistake and he darn near made a mess in his pants when he looked up to see a double barrel shotgun pointed eye level. Had I not been up from a 2:00AM feeding I might not have heard the lock turn in the door. Apartment complex never changed the locks or collected keys. Other than furniture maybe not being in the same place it would be rather easy for someone to let themselves in and move around in the dark.

How do we find out about renters? Owner of the lot would be in the property tax record but I don't know how we could find out about tenants.

No, her name is Marie Griffis (and so is Chad's last name, apparently). If you search myspace and put in Marie Griffis, the grandmothers profile is the only one that comes up. Therefore, the last name Marie used when she registered her Myspace was Griffis.

Hi Supergirl,

I always watch FOX when I get ready for work. This morning they were talking about Haleigh, and they were talking by phone with the Sheriff, or someone from LE involved in the case.

The hostess for FOX {?} tried to pin the LE guy down as to whether they had ever had a call to this residence or been called to a family dispute or problem with these people.

The officer at first said no. And then after another question like 'did the police ever have dealings with this father the GF and Haleigh", he answered Yes.

It made me think there had either been a complaint or a court action which had brought the police to the forefront in dealing with them in some way. The officer said no more, and actually I was surprised he said what he did!

Whatever it was about will undoubtedly come out. xxoxx

Wish i had something to add that would help...You guys are wonderful as usual.

A few observations from following Hayleigh's case today:

After watching the interview with her father(three times). This man had a complete emotional breakdown on tv while trying to discuss his missing daughter, he was/is broken. I do believe that he was understandably medicated tonight during the NG and Greta interviews.He stated that he has raised her since she was three years old, by himself.I also think he handled the custody questions with dignity during the worst time in his life. That says alot about his character imho

GF not sure about, as far as neglecting children. But, "my gut" (i know-i know) is telling me that she is not involved. Mom was saying kids loved GF.GM was being upfront with GR in regards to the children saying they have been "hit" in the past- Couldn't that mean spanked? My brother and i grew up in the same home and have children the same age, my son has had one 'spanking' in his 12years( it was out of fear-after he throw himself in the middle of the mall parking lot with on coming traffic) Now, my brother did use corpril punishment with his two daughters on occassion when they were younger (12/10 now) they are all great sweet kids....sorry, so wordy my convoluted point was that the GM and Mom both said nice things about the gf. Yes, she is young but we do not know all of her life experience....

Some SOB walked into that home and STOLE that little girl. I pray to God that Tim Miller, LE, Marc Klass, Mark Lunsford or Someone/Anyone of those wonderful volunteers finds her in time... If it's one of these Scum Bags they have already served time, so they will know the drill. It makes my stomach sick, but i hope he is taking care of her, I'm sure he's watching the news!!

I just Can Not believe that this keeps happening!
