Hi, I just checked the site and saw Chad left a post & picture, for Crystal on the 10th. He bought her (some contest?). How do these sites work? Chad actually "bought" her and left a message about he had just bought her as his pet. The comment before and after are in regards to her little girl missing? I don't do myspace or facebook myself so have no idea the order the posts are recorded. Just wondering if he was communicating with her on the 10th when the child was missing? So confused. TIA

No, what it is is an application (or an "app") on Myspace. An "app" is basically something that you can attach on your Myspace page (they have weather "apps" that check the weather for you that day, they have entertainment "apps" you can add that give you the top stories, and then they also have game "apps" such as this one..). This particular "app" is a pet type thing. How it works is someone puts the "app" on their page (so, in this Case both Crystal and Chad did) and then they can purchase each others pets (it's a game) from that app. It does so automatically, or with a click of the button on the app that says "buy me". It doesn't mean he had any sort of communication with her on that day, other then pressing the buy me button. If that makes any sense..

Which is my point exactly. I find it a very strange song to have listed on her myspace with her daughter missing.

It has become a funeral song. It is very strange that her mother would have that sort of thing up on her MySpace already.

I hope that someone in LE checks the computer at the Dad's home to see what sort of activity the GF may have been engaging in on it.

Going to bed and hope their is great news in the morning. Going to say a prayer for Haleigh.

I don't know. If they took away all the children who were the victims of near-drownings in this state, DCF would be more overloaded than they are now. It can happen SO fast, and there is water everywhere. It's why we'll keep child locks on the doors until they leave for college.

I can't really see the parallel between a 24 year old dating a 17 year old, although I do question the judgement, and actual, malicious sex offenders.

And far be it from me to defend SOs, but while there might be 45 in that area, you really have to prioritize. Many of those SOs are going to be there because they were in the same situation as this father and his GF. A lot of them won't have even looked at a little girl the wrong way. The predator whose link was posted--I think child is despicable, horrible, grotesque, whathaveyou, but he gets the same predator label whether he filmed the child or if he forwarded an email with an image. I don't envy LE when you have that many to filter through. You could have a "predator" that once forwarded a video clip to a friend, and an "offender" who molested his 16 year old niece and is looking to escalate.

Like I said, not defending, but it's not cut and dry in terms of labels.

I live in a small, charming, idyllic town in west central Florida, and there are 25 SOs in the two mile radius of my home. It's a pleasant middle-class neighborhood on the Gulf and we average .5 homicides a year. Usually we just get a bunch of gas drive-offs. Yet we have 25 registered in just a tiny segment of a small city. It's so disconcerting. Yet, in some way, I don't worry as much about them as much as I worry about those who aren't registered.

Still, it teaches me to always lock both sets of doors and to keep the sensor monitor on in the boys' nursery.

Order of Dismissal of Temporary Injunction for Protection - domestic violence. Case dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

According to Crystal's mother, the parents were divorced, but I haven't found a divorce record yet.

I did notice in a video interview that she had a ring on her left ring finger.

Could be they left the bathroom light on and when gf went in there...she closed the door. Did someone say there was no light in the bedroom as a nightlight or something? I guess I missed it.

Tonight on NG, the father said she went to be around 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm. If he was at work, he isn't going to know for certain so he has to rely on what she is telling him she did at home.

This further tells me something was wrong INSIDE that house. Some of the easiest details are getting twisted by either the media or the GF!
