OMG! I just had a wicked thought. The name is similar to Caylee's. The timing. The area within a 100 mile radius.

What if during the search for an "Alive Caylee" someone ran across this little girl and began to watch her? They hear someone calling her Hayleigh Ann-Marie. They think she shows a resemblance. They see a 17yo "mother".

When Caylee ends up deceased...maybe they decided to take her for whatever reason. There are some crazies out there.

Thanks...it was weird enough with their names and the fact that it happened on memorial day....now you make me think of this. I don't really think so, but like you said....the crazies are out there.

hey all. this is just so upsetting in so many ways. everyone here has such kind, good and caring hearts or they woulld not be here showing luv and support to this baby right now. until we find out for sure what happened, i like seeing so many work so hard to help in the only way they can....sluething for possibilities. Just remember, please, emotions run high as always when a child is at risk. Getting off track in a debate over other issues, even when lead to by this issue of a missing child, is counterproductive. Just a reminder. You are all correct, you are all wonderful. Peace.

Okay, here's the video, at around 1:58 is when the grandmother tells the reporter than they don't get to talk to the kids much when they are with the father:

Sounds like bitterness to me. The father decidedly took the high road tonite on Greta when it came to Hayleigh's mother. They need to do the same. It is not a time to get into a public slam fest because of the custody battle she lost.

Perhaps the mother and grandmother pump the girl constantly on the phone for information and he prefers to be home when she talks to them to protect her. There could be many reasons why they are limited on conversations. He didn't win custody via a Judge for no reason here. It speaks to his credibility in this case, imo.

True.

Technically speaking, the father in this case is a felon (not yet convicted, of course) and a sex offender who would have to register as well. LE should be looking at him just as hard as they look at any of the other registered offenders in the area. Why should he get a pass?

He did not get a pass.

My hinky meter is off the charts, sorry I wish I could put it better than that

on NG tonite dad passed polygraph

44 registered sex offenders in their area

GF doing as well as she can under the circumstances? This makes sense if she's a typical 17 yo...was she a live in gf, was she just a babysitter or was she mommy to Haleigh since her own mommy isn't available?

Is dad being medicated? he is not all with it tonite...pretty much the way I would expect me to be. dad's in my experience are usually more stoic. Crying but no tears

I am sure that is one of the first things they did. The father also said he took a polygraph and passed with flying colors. I thought I also heard him say so did the GF but Nancy cut him off as usual
Yes. HE said. I was wondering if that had been verified by LE.

My hinky meter went off when I saw the first interview with the dad.

He did not get a pass.

Sure, he did. No one is arresting him for his sex offense, trying him for it, and making him register for it. Of course, it would be in really bad taste to charge him at this point (for the felony with the 17 y/o) as the focus absolutely should be on the recovery of his daughter right now.

But yeah, he's getting a pass on his own SO while we're picking apart the SOs of his neighbors.

Here's yet another take on the story!!

Fox News supposedly has the police report, and this is a snip from and link to their story:

Haleigh, her 2-year-old brother and Croslin went to bed in the same room in the family's mobile home at about 10 p.m. Monday night, investigators said. Croslin told deputies the little girl got up between 3 and 3:30 a.m. to go to the bathroom.

About the same time, Cummings arrived home from work. When they went into the bedroom, he and Croslin say they discovered that Haleigh had vanished.

The back door was open, but investigators didn't find any sign of forced entry.

Cummings said his daughter is afraid of the dark and wouldn't wander away by herself.

Do you think maybe the perp was already inside the house and had just been waiting for the opportunity to snatch Haleigh?

Tonight on Nancy, Ronald said the kids were in bed by 8 like they were every night. Who lets a 5 YO stay up till 10 on a school night?

But according to the laws in FL, from what I understand, if the father were brought to trial and convicted of living with the 17 yr old G/f, he also would be required to register as a sex offender. Doesn't seem fair to me.

That is a chance he is willing to take. And with taking that chance knowing the laws, then he himself is opening him up to being hunted.
He is old enough to know better.

Picking apart? Registered sex ofenders? And the Dad should be arrested? I don't know what to say.

You, as you often do, spoke my thoughts so well. Nightmares tonight.

I know...and that's a good thing.
I wonder if LE thought to check into any "tips" on Caylee that came into their office in that area? Maybe they should check with OCSO to be certain no one called them, too.
