There is a ******** account set up for a private investigation to keep the search going. Looks like they've raised 348,500 in 4 days.

Just jumping off your post.
How did the boys get the boat to the gas station and to the boat launch? Did they haul it there or did someone haul it for them? I don't recall hearing. TIA
i agree with everything you said except the timing. It was initially reported by the mother that they went out about 11:00AM. In actuality, they were observed motoring out of the inlet just as the storm was hitting. The fisherman who reported seeing them said that it was notable because all of the other boats were coming in.

They sell these at the hardware store down the street. VERY VERY expensive!I would bet a lot of people heard of the Yeti brand due to this tragedy. Unintentional advertising, maybe I should say awareness of the brand. My husband and I looked up their coolers on Amazon. Nice!
You can fill up at the marina if you don't mind the higher price.
I can't see them sitting around for 3 hours with a boat full of fuel. They left the Marina around 11, according to their fuel receipt. The marina is maybe a 5-10 min boat ride from the inlet, which puts them in the inlet at the time on the video that JPD has.

This article still states they filled up at the marina and headed out at 1:30 pm.
That seems to be a previous article... This one is from the 27th.
"Since Friday, the boys families have called Krizka asking for details, he said. And he went through the trash to find the boys receipt to determine what time they were at the marina."

Yeah, 4.29/gal at that particular marina. Yikes!
New to this thread, been watching this story. I am sure this has been asked/answered before, but does anyone have an idea of how many miles you can travel in a boat like the boys had, with $110 worth of gas?... providing there was no storm or any other problems. Hoping beyond hope for a miracle. Thanks!

Was it a 4 stroke engine? Did they fill up? Its hard to say.
So now they are bashing the coast guard and navy for stopping search after sundown. They are signing a petition.
The US Coast Guard and the US Navy will suspend their "Search and Rescue" efforts and shift to a "Recovery Effort" at sundown today. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
I feel the coast guard has gone over and beyond to look for these boys. They know the outcome after this long.I believe they were out there with no fresh water and food if alive for a few days. The coast guard can only do so much and we are talking about taxpayers money. The ocean can be harsh with temps and salt, not to mention sharks.I feel for the parents but it just may be time to face reality.
Ok, I'm officially off the fb page. Some psychic has posted that a dolphin is bringing fish to Austin to keep him alive.
