Would that dolphin be Flipper?
I don't know what people are thinking, but to suggest they could ride a dolphin to safety is crossing a line. And, I question anyone who believes this is even possible. But, it's being said. My faith in humanity increases and decreases in the same thread.

I am just curious if anybody saw the post on the FB page where a lady had said that she was sure she saw these 2 boys while she and her husband were out fishing? She said she had contacted police but say it was out of the inlet and to the south. She said she had a conversation with the "blonde" boy who was driving the boat about fishing. They stayed in that spot for awhile and then went further south.

I'm sure kids out on boats are a dime a dozen but it did raise my curiosity. Didn't seem like a troll. Is it possible they could have been a bit south but the boat capsized and rushed north very quickly with the storm and Gulf Stream??

Also, is it possible someone could be out past the Gulf Stream capsize, and still end up in the stream? Would the waves push the boat back towards the shore and then it get sucked into the Gulf Stream? One last question, south of the inlet, is there a Gulf Stream and how far out?

Thanks!

I remember that post. She got filleted for not saying something earlier, accused of being a lying troll, and never came back. I don't know if it went any further than her post; or if it was even true. She said she saw them spearfishing.

Also, the Gulf Stream is about 3 miles out from the beach in Jupiter. As far as the boat being out past the Gulf Stream and still ending up in it... It's possible, I would think eventuslly everything ends up in it. It's a very strong current.

Apparently there are at least two find the boys names FB pages.

I remember that post. She seemed legit to me. I think she was told to relay this info to the admin or family, and did so.

Just to clarify for others who didn't see that post - she claimed to have seen them before the storm hit.

I'm in 2 of them. The big one, and one that has the same name with "-Discussion" added. It's less censored and seems calmer.

I've seen posts on the FB group speculating that the boys could be alive on a desert island. Is this realistic at all? Realistic that they would get to one, and realistic that could surive there? Or too Holywood?

So not only is that petition getting blasted everywhere, the aunt is also asking people to contact their senator to team up with Patrick Murphy to put pressure on the Coast Guard to keep searching.... Yet this was released a bit ago-

"The families released this statement following the Coast Guard announcement:

On behalf of both families we would like to thank the US Coast Guard and other Federal government and local agencies in their relentless efforts to search and rescue our boys. Our families would also like to thank Chief Elg and his entire staff of the Tequesta Police Department for all of their continued efforts in the safe return of our boys....

I mean...maybe? I highly doubt it, though.

There are like 20+ Find (boys names) FB pages and groups now.... I did find the discussion closed group one but that wasnt one of the two i was talking about

From what I've learned here so far I would assume that the gulf stream would push them past these islands. And it's too far to actively swim there.

I can't see them sitting around for 3 hours with a boat full of fuel. They left the Marina around 11, according to their fuel receipt. The marina is maybe a 5-10 min boat ride from the inlet, which puts them in the inlet at the time on the video that JPD has.

. It is very possible that both reports are correct. They could have gotten gas between 10 and 11 AM and also be seen leaving Jupiter Inlet at 1:30. We really don't know what they were doing in that 3ish hour block of time. They could have gone home or to the Grandfather's house. They may have gone to the intercostal so that they could tell their parents that was what they did that day. They could even have gone out to the ocean, come back in, and left again at 1:30. The witness that says he saw the boys heading out into the storm is very credible.

This article From this morning (7/31) lists the 1:30 departure time: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/n...ida-teens-tequesta-neighborhood-quiet-/nm9qL/ "Stephanos and Cohen were last seen about 1:30 p.m. Friday leaving the Jupiter Inlet in a 19-foot, white, single-engine boat with a center console. Stephanos’ mother, Carly Black, became concerned when she hadn’t heard from her son mid-afternoon after he last checked in with her about 11:30 a.m."

I posted there once.

Am I the only one that looks at other people posting in these missing FB pages and wonders if I "know" the poster from here? Sometimes people will say similar things that they've posted here and I'll think....."Hey....I've heard that before..."

No I do that too! :)

I only read there though. Never joined those groups.

I have been following this story on local news, but have not checked in here. My heart broke for the families when authorities suspended the search today. Since these boys come from affluent families, it is my understanding they intend to continue with their own search.

But the weather has been brutal down here. No named storms, but it sure felt like a tropical depression or wave. My area got six inches of rain with high speed wind gusts and others reported hail.

I wish they had just stayed with their boat after it capsized. Experienced boaters know to do this, so I'm unclear why they abandoned it.

In any case, I'm hoping for a miracle for these two families in that their boys are found safe.....or at least, just found. The unknown must be the most painful emotion a parent can feel in a situation like this. Praying this has a happy ending.

I see the psychics and clairvoyants are coming out of the woodwork in full force. I always cringe when I read on Missing FB pages, people suggesting the use of these. IMO you could have 10 different psychics/clairvoyants all give a different location and that just takes up so many resources and leads to many wild goose chases, IMO.

I also see on the familys 🤬🤬🤬 page for the boys, nearly $365,000 of their $450,000 donation goal has been donated to date. wow. I see too there have been a fair number of heated comments left there, about why the family is requesting public donations when one of the boys' great-grandfather was a multi-millionaire (worth over $200 million) and that at least that boy's family are in the financial position to be funding search efforts versus asking public to do so. I also see that one of the moms is selling $150 bracelets to go toward the search fund.

bbm

Maybe they drowned almost immediately because of the storm.

Or they did stay close to the boat but sharks got to them ... :(

I can guarantee they didnt leave it on purpose. The seas were 8 foot waves in the middle of a torrential violent storm when the boat capsized. As soon as their boat flipped and then ended up in the water, it would be almost impossible for anybody to stay with the boat even if they had a hold of it somewhere.

The forces are just too great and I am pretty sure they didnt even have a chance to grab onto the boat.

If you saw the picture of the capsized boat you would realize there is nothign really to grab onto. Just a smooth bottom.
