This is indicative of mental illness which is a disease. Would you be so critical of someone with cancer spending several hours a day in bed?

But the partner was just one person not two right? JS shot and killed her son, then quietly went upstairs and came up behind her daughter and shot and killed her. Two people killed in different places with a time lapse between the killings.
Then she pulled/dragged her daughter's corpse into the bed and covered her with a blanket. She went back to the car and covered her son with a blanket and then went to patio where she had a little sleepy poo on the divan? All in a blackout? No way.
How'd that work out for the drunk stabber? Guilty of murder or temporary insanity?

Guilty of murder, of course!
I never said she did this in a blackout. You mentioned blackout. My pondering, (and I don't think there's any dispute about this) is about her alcoholism. She was very obviously entering the DT's while in custody, and consequently medically treated (as yet undisclosed). But I'll bet you it was detox with librium.
I have no idea what her state of mind was when she murdered her children.
