How was she able to buy a handgun????

Apparently she was well enough to appear 'normal' on that day. This has me seriously doubting her insanity possibilities.

I don't think so. Just the waiting period which clearly messed up her original plans (as per her journal).

Beau got shot on way to practice....was shot in mouth due to his "mouthy mouth"

I think she shot Beau on the way to practice and then quickly turned around to go home. When they got home she shot him in the mouth.

Not sure of the source, but it may have been said in opening this morning?

Evans reads #JulieSchenecker's notes: "I am just losing my mind." "I did all my duties then went to buy a gun

Caylx (spelling?) thought her mother was an evil soul. There is a lot JS did to her kids to get them to resent her so badly.

IMO JS realized that the family was going to move on without her. Divorce and wanting to live with dad. JS made sure that wasn't going to happen.

Vindictive and yes Calyx, evil.

Personally.....I disagree! What type of medication is she on now that has completely eradicated her symptoms now....in court?

Tardive dyskinesia is a difficult-to-treat and often incurable form of dyskinesia...plus it is progressive. She would have visible symptoms today, if this was the case.

Interesting. I'll have to reread the emails re her TD symptoms.

Yes so it delayed her plans to kill her kids.

Anybody ever hear of insanity waiting patiently for three days?

It is treatable though if it is caused by medications. Which is what I believe they said JS's is caused by.

BTW, the DT's usually occur when an alcoholic refrains from drinking and is a symptom of the body's need for alcohol. She drank and "came to" (IMHO) after she shot her children and wrote in her journal. She also managed to put up the post-it notes after the car pool guy came by. Hmmm...

I remember hearing one of the shows Grace or Mitchell saying it was from Abilify and that the drs had been trying to tweak the dosage to stop the side effect of shaking from occurring.

I agree about the DT's. They set in once the body has been denied the alcohol it craves. It normally doesn't kick in after a day of throwing back a slew of wine coolers and assorted drugs. I could believe alcohol poisoning easier, but there is no mention of shakes being a symptom.

Yes! It is treatable, but often incurable. It's a dopamine disorder...like Parkinson's disease....most frequently occurs as the result of long-term or high-dose use of antipsychotic drugs. But it is progressive....like Parkinson's Disease.

Was she on long-term or high-dose use of antipsychotic drugs?

For bi-polar disorder.....you are prescribed mood stabalizers, (e.g. lithium).....not antipsyphoctics. If she was on antipsychotics.....why?

And stating the obvious.......if she was so bad with the tremors from TD........how did she so accurately shoot her children???

I wonder who had the nerve to object to Col Schenecker and Nancy Schenecker being in the courtroom? So it's ok for the defendant to have family there for her but the kids should have no one sitting in that court for them?

I missed that, what happened? They were not asked to leave were they?

I think the shots were so up close that there was no chance of missing the target :(

Just to give a bit of insight from my personal experience. I used to black out when I drunk. I have done a whole assortment of things whilst being blacked out, including walking around etc. My best friend and housemate who I live with would never believe me that I blacked out at a certain point and could remember absolutely nothing. Obviously I was very very drunk, but I think he thought it was just an excuse for some of the things I did whilst in this state. (Needless to say, I am now T total)

I really do believe that people can hurt people when blacked out, but not like she did. This was premeditated. I also believe that if her alcohol problem was severe, she would be drinking starting in a morning, and she would have been drunk whilst buying the gun. Drunk when her son got in the car with her. I don't think either of things would have happened if she had given signs of being drunk. People with severe alcohol problems don't just have a few wines in the afternoon. They are drunk most of the time they are awake.

Think she did what she did, had a drink and fell asleep. I don't doubt for a minute this woman had mental health issues. But so do a lot of people and they don't kill their kids.

I was also a blackout drinker and did all kinds of, ahem, interesting things during blackouts. But definitely nothing like this. AND I have mental health issues as well.

I am not familiar 100% with the facts/evidence though, so I am actually trying to have an open mind about this. But man it's hard.

Listening to opening statements now.

MORE: "Offed Beau in the van going to practice." "He caught me with the gun." "He had a healthy fight." #ScheneckerTrial

I wonder where geographically on the drive TO practice did she commit the shooting into the windshield and the execution. Can't imagine she did it while at a stop sign.
