Parker was not there for Beau's birth. Beau was born 2 1/2 weeks early, and he was on a hiking trip. PS does not recall any of Julie's family coming for the births of either children or visiting afterward.

Julie was still the primary caregiver for the children while in Hawaii.

PS then stationed in Virginia. Julie remained in Hawaii for a couple months. Julie told PS that she and the kids weren't going. She eventually did go to Virginia.

PS said that Julie's low energy continued on and off (a drumbeat) throughout this period of this marriage. She'd spend some time in bed. From time to time, they would discuss her depression. He was not active in her medical treatment. He knew she was taking meds, but did not monitor them or look at the prescription bottles.

They were in Virginia for 2 years. PS's Mom also came to Virginia, and got a townhouse a few doors down from theirs.

During the time they were in Virginia, JS went to the National Institute for Mental Health. Julie came to Parker and told him she'd found a program she wanted to participate in -- non-traditional approach to mental health, using magnetic impulses in the brain. He sat in on one of the treatments. It used a head harness, very loud, he walked out during the treatment as it was so loud.

Julie was in treatment for about 9 months. The clinical trial -- they did a PET scan, took her off all her meds, did another PET scan, did the treatments, did another PET scan. Then they had to get her back on the right meds to get her back into the family. She left the hospital on meds.

PS said he didn't follow up on her meds; didn't feel it was his responsibility -- he felt it was her responsibility to take care of her medical treatment.

During this time, Patrict was the primary caregiver -- they had a live-in Nanny. His Mom was also down the street.

After getting home from hospital, Julie resumed being the primary caregiver for the children. PS filled in from time to time with the kids. During this time, Julie was working at an art gallery.

They then were stationed in Germany, living on base in the designated home for the commander. Army had "Exceptional Family Member Program" (for health needs, special needs, disabilities, etc.) -- each time a family was re-stationed, the Army would review whether the new placement was appropriate for that family member.

Julie had ups and downs in energy. While in Germany, JS was not working outside the home, but was working with the crafting and was coaching the community volleyball team. PS's Mom did not follow them to Germany. They had no family nearby. PS was not traveling much during this time period. Later, when they were in Germany, he began to travel for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. They also traveled a lot together as a family for fun, and Julie traveled on her own.

I think the psychologist was a far better witness for the defense than the psychiatrist. The defense still has an uphill battle though.

Unfortunately, I am a victim in this case. I was one of the many young people that Sandra mentored at one time or another. It was horrible to everyone that loved her when this happened. It is awful. I know that CA isn't going to execute him, but I at least want some justice.

Parker says their family traveled quite a bit for work, as a family for vacation, as a couple and individually #JulieSchenecker

After leaving Germany, the family went to Maryland for one year. Julie was not working. Primary caregiver for the children. PS not traveling much. He had regular "office" hours most of the time. As a military wife, Julie would accompany him on social functions.

Julie breastfed the children, and was part of a Le Leche support group.

PS did not go to OB/GYN appts. with JS when she was pregnant with the children.

After Maryland, they went to Pennsylvania for a year.

They then came to Tampa in July, 2007.

PS & JS went to marriage counseling at various times throughout the years -- sometimes when they were going through challenges, and other times when things were going well, just to maintain. He remembers going to counseling in Maryland.

When they moved to Tampa, they rented a house for a year, then bought the house in Tampa Palms. Julie worked at a Cafe close to their house in Tampa for the first year they were there. She liked the job and liked the people with whom she was working.

When they moved to Tampa, Calyx was 12/13, Beau 9 or 10.
