Why was it 9 months though?

Because they take her off all meds and they do the treatment over time. JS has issues mentally the whole time it sounds like and she has to be in solitary confinement and has at least one psychotic episode

I'm still downing my (5th) cup of coffee -- will have to switch over soon. I so wish they'd used the other attorney -- he's so much more articulate. Plus, all these details she's including aren't really pertinent. That's pretty much been the way she's handled things through most of the trial.

I wonder what JS thinks about it? I'd raise he11. Can a defendant insist on which atty. handles closing, in charge of proceedings etc?

To me when the defense attorney talking about the letter she sent to Caylx is totally irrelevant.

What does that have to do with murdering her children much later on?

Nothing.

do we know what meds she is currently on/or how many?

I haven't been able to find it written anywhere. She spoke in court the other day that she is under the care of a Physician and Psychiatrist and being medicated by both.

Accdg to testimony of one of the docs, during that study, they first took her off of all her meds to get her to baseline, and then started the brain wave (or whatever it was) treatment, and apparently it didn't help, so they had to put her back on the meds, and she got so unstable that it took months to get her back to a functional state again.

That's why I don't quite get why Parker sought out a doc in Germany that did that sort of treatment -- he seemed to think it helped her, but the medical records apparently indicate it did not.

Another thing...and this is true of most anti-psychotic (and anti-epileptic) meds -- you can't just take a person off of them cold turkey, without dire consequences. Parker sent an email to her psychiatrist, telling him they were taking him off all her meds at Windmoor, and he apparently didn't intervene.

To me that means she chose to stay in bed and contradicts what her attorney said earlier. She said it was her MI that kept her in bed.

I am just reading the tweets and still not listening. My choice.
