Aw, so their relationship was rocky and he was miserable but he loved her, so he beat his baby son to death. GAG.

I hope they get life in prison, meaning they are never free again. I do not believe that the death penalty serves any purpose. A lifetime of misery is punishment enough. Executions damage generations that have yet to be born, it is a societal stigma that attaches to everyone related to the murderer and it is not fair.

Imagine being the child or grandchild, mother, father, brother, sister of someone who was executed. Horrible burden for them to endure that shame and they are innocent.

Oh I think we will hear more to this story,
Not many are all convinced it was all him.

I suspect there's truth from both sides. JW has a history of violence and abuse. So does KB. Together, they were a codependent whirlwind of emotion and instability.

His kids all survived till he met her and the children she had with him are dead.
I have not seen any violence yet to his children.
I cant wait to hear what happened here She scares me.

I'm sure he is very guilty but I'm wondering if KB Killed the baby.

From what I hear it was his mental health..Drugs Alcohol and DV to the wife he is not a suitable father nor husband,
he cant take care of himself let alone kids.
The kids are still with the family he was the one that left.

I'd say that abusing their mother is a pretty violent thing to do to kids even if he never put a hand on them. But, I suspect, he did. Maybe he didn't kill them, but most abusers don't just stop with their partner -- they abuse their kids, too. (jmo, speculation).

Maybe JW didn't want another child after Duane and he told her so.

I didn't mean it as not a violent action.
what I'm saying is I have never seen a police report on him hitting a child.

Have u found a physical abuse report on a child?

and I have to disagree I know many men that hit their wives and then kiss their children.

I agree, but we will probably never know who exactly did what, if they're playing the blame game and accusing each other now to possibly get lighter sentences at trial. I'm sure they both realize murder in the first degree could see them doing LWOP, maybe even the DP seeing as it's the state of Florida. I think because of that their charges should be the same, because lies will likely be told. Neither one of them reported that Chance had died, and he died under both of their watch in the same house where they left the little baby to decompose for a week and then place him in trash bags in a closet. Then they both concealed his little body in the woods and took off to SC on vacation pretending he died in a car accident. They both had guilty criminal knowledge. No pass for either one IMO.

I'm not so sure they will reopen that case.

I think it would be difficult to reopen it even though there was something stated along those lines in msm that they might.
I agree about them being imprisoned for a long time too.

On the child intake form it list 7/28 and the time as 4:57 pm, with previous contact with CPS, and it was dismissed 7/28 at 5:44 pm. Less than an hour was given to Chance and his welfare. You can also see the supervisor and counselor names on those forms. I bet they're not liking that.

I guess Joe just followed Kristin to South Carolina and assumed Chance was somewhere safe? Because at the very least he could have taken Chance away, reported something, turned her in, not buried him, not fled, not lied...



It must be difficult to know a friend of yours could do something so depraved.

And you will wonder for the rest of your life if you could have done something to save this innocent, beautiful little boy. SMH. Big, big regrets and disappointment in yourself. SMH.

I agree. I think it's just as likely KB killed him as it is that JW killed him. At this point JW is being the proactive one, seeking discovery, which means he really wants to know what KB said in her statements to police. Friends and family warned JW repeatedly that KB was bad news and to stay away from her, but he just couldn't. KBs story is full of finger pointing at him - HE beat the baby, HE stuffed the baby in garbage bags and put him in the closet - HE dug the grave and buried the body. I think KB is in major CYA mode and JW is in for a shock when he sees the discovery documents. He's also already demanding a jury trial. KB has not requested discovery or a trial because I think she sincerely thinks there will be no trial - not for her, anyway. I think KB actually believes that her story of JW being the sole culprit is going to get her off with nothing more than accessory after the fact.

But it's already looking like JW is going to fight back, and fight back like hell.
