I wonder why the doctor didn't circumcise Duane in the hospital. She called it a 'blotched circumcision'..........2 weeks old, did she do it herself? Sure would like to know more about little Duane, like his weight etc. IMO, now his case (Xrays? Lab etc) should be looked at. Maybe ME took photos on file...........hope so.

Do we know it was not done at the hospital????
It would shock me to find out that these two monsters (no disrespect to monsters) took time out of their fabulous life to do anything for this baby.

I wish just once that scum like this would just plead guilty and save the state money and save the jury from hearing how awful this poor babies short life was.

MOO!!

When my son was circumcised the care of it was pretty straight forward. We weren't told to really do any extra cleaning. Obviously if poop got on it, to clean it off and whatnot. But no special cleaning. We were just told to put some vaseline on the diaper so it wouldn't stick to him.

I am going to call B.S. on the "botched" circumcision story though with these people.

Post circumcision:

"Keep it clean. This is the most important rule of newborn circumcision care: At every diaper change, gently wipe away any bits of poop that you may see on the area. Use a gentle, unscented soap and warm water — not a baby wipe. Allow the area to dry on its own to prevent irritation. And stick with sponge baths until your baby’s penis is healed and his umbilical cord drops off. You’ll want to avoid getting it wet in a bath before then (though clearly it will get when he pees, and that’s not a problem as long as you change diapers as needed).

Keep it protected, but necessarily covered. After surgery, a bandage with petroleum jelly may be placed on your baby’s penis that usually falls off the next time your baby pees. Pediatricians have mixed feelings about whether or not you need to continue putting some sort of dressing over a healing penis, so ask what your doctor’s preference is. If you’ve been advised to, then most likely you’ll be told to smear a little petroleum jelly on the tip of your baby’s penis before wrapping a little gauze around it or putting a bandage on it (so the dressing doesn’t stick to the skin). And if your doctor’s inclination is not to use a dressing, then you’ll be told to dab on a bit of petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment after every diaper change for the first day or so, just to keep your baby’s diaper from rubbing against his circumcised penis."

Maybe JW didn't want another child after Duane and he told her so.
then she started to Despise him.
According to JW's friend, JW is the one who wanted another child.

"After the couple's first baby Duane died in April of 2014, Kallas said it was Joseph who wanted another child.

"You guys aren't even paying your rent. You don't have jobs and you're thinking of having a child...another one. This is crazy," said Kallas.

A little more than a year later, Chance Walsh was born in July."

IMO I think he got the infection from her not cleaning him after he was circumcised.
Can u get this kind of infection from that?

He could have had an incomplete or partial circumcision, which would leave some foreskin that would need to be retracted to clean the feces and other waste from the glans. During a circumcision (I don't intend to be graphic, but I am trying to explain clearly), the foreskin is removed from the glans much like a fingernail being removed from its bed -- the glans can be fairly raw and therefore easily irritated by waste. With a bit of remaining foreskin such as from a partial circumcision, that matter could accumulate and irritate the skin, and bacteria could more easily travel up the urethra causing a UTI. Infections like that can also happen when an intact infant's foreskin is forcibly retracted.

I doubt the infection was solely due to the botched circumcision. It was probably more likely due to them failing to retract the remaining skin and clean him thoroughly (imo).

I'm positive little Duane suffered severe pain as a result............did they ever take him to the doctor? deformed ribs? I never heard of that one.......no medical consultation?

Nothing for KB, but JW is there, shocker. Traffic and giving alcohol to a minor.

I'm really surprised at the minimum criminal history KB has. I thought there would be much more in the way of drug related charges. We know she had at least one rehab stint prior to her involvement with JW, so she can't say that problem was all on him. I guess she just had good luck at skirting LE up to this point.

This is not showing on the news pages. It's says it's been moved or removed. But IIRC someone posted the actual document, so, I'm looking for it might take a few minutes or more.

According to new documents from the department, Chance's parents were no strangers to them. In one report from this past July, a caseworker received a call that the mother, Kristen Bury -- who has also been charged with Chance's death -- may be on drugs. It was determined that there wasn't enough information in the call to warrant a caseworker going out to the home. DCF said the caller did not appear to have first-hand knowledge that they could use, and Chance was still in the hospital at the time. DCF says the hospital did not report any concerns at the time.

[...]
Chance's parents had many prior involvements with DCF.

In an incident report released after Chance's death, it showed Bury had two prior instances in 2002 and 2003, and Walsh, 35, has had seven children between 2003-2008 removed from his care and his parental rights were terminated.
