Skinning them and lay them out in the sun in death valley where temps reach 120 and above, covered in honey, and ants. Lots of ants. Am I too sick to want that for people like this? A bullet, the gas chamber, electrocution , hanging would be too kind and gentle.
Nah, not too sick. I was thinking of gutting them and letting them die a very slow, very painful death. So if you are sick I would gladly join you.

One of the news stories did mention that she was using opiates (although I wouldn't be surprised if they both used a veritable smorgasboard of drugs).

off-topic rant: Meanwhile, chronic pain patients are jumping through hoops just to get the bare minimum (and often not even getting that).
I agree. When I broke my shoulder in three places I had to go to a pain management clinic because my Dr was afraid to write me a prescription for percoset. I was 50 years old with zero history. I don't drink, I don't smoke, but it was OK to be in extreme pain. Go figure.

The very basic and simple answer is that a defendant is granted a constitutional right to a hearing before a judge within a reasonable time after his arrest. Since it is a "right", he has the choice to "waive" it.

the court gives you the right to a preliminary hearing to determine if there's reason to hold you on bail so you don't flee while the Grand Jury deliberates. However, often those hearings are not held because the prosecutor will then intensify his/her plea negotiations if you insist upon such a hearing, so the defense attorney will often waive the hearing in order to keep the prospect of plea bargaining alive if needed later. Also, if you're out on bail, its not as much of a necessity so they waive it.

I think they needed an explanation for the damage done to the babys mouth

Ok...so NOT defending anyone but my daughter is aggressive and extreme, she's been this way since around 5 months. On multiple occasions she would shove blankets, socks, a paper towel, washcloth etc in her mouth. She did this until about 18 months.!I had to watch her CLOSE and she is still always in my care to be safe. I take care of babies for a living and I've never known a kid like mine. Around 9 months she began slamming her head HARD into the floor and walls when upset. I was terrified she'd harm herself. She never did; she's now 3 and Is still learning to control her behavior. My point is after becoming her mother I know it IS possible for a small infant to shove things down their throat. The paper towel & a sock was nearly swallowed...SCARY!!

They seem to line up. From October 8:

Small amounts of blood were found on the bed pillows, comforter and mattress inside the couple’s Orduna Drive home on Monday, according to the report. Blood spatter was also found on the walls, door, mirror and light fixture in the bathroom.

http://www.winknews.com/2015/10/08/authorities-search-for-clues-in-9-week-olds-disappearance/

Walsh took Chance into the bathroom for a while, apparently to beat him (and maybe worse) even more.

Think about this for a moment: go in your bathroom and stand at your sink, then look up at the mirror and light fixture. Look at the door, and the walls. Whatever was done to that precious baby in the bathroom was NOT just pushing a baby wipe into his throat. Whatever was done had to be done with forceful impact enough to cause blood to spatter up onto the mirror, light fixture, walls and door. I hated typing that but it's pretty obvious JW did something else in that bathroom.

I can't wrap my head around the amount of rage and hatred that they must have had for Chance to be able to do this. He was beaten so badly, so violently, that his blood was on the freaking ceiling.

I find myself thinking back to when my daughter was a few months old. I had a conversation with my mom, telling her that I could see how a lot of abuse came about due to a loss of control. Shaken baby, stuff like that. The constant crying can be maddening, exhausting, it drains you of all you have. And you let yourself lose it. Please don't think I am excusing that, I am not, but there were times where I was so tired that I got it. Fortunately I was able to control myself, make sure she was secure, and go cry in another room for a few.

This is so far removed from that kind of loss of control it's not even in the same book. The cruelty is stunning. He suffered...for hours after the brutality.

I can empathize with the idea that perhaps they found themselves disappointed that Chance wasn't Duane, once he was born. "We thought this would make us whole, and it didnt." But this level of rage? God help us all.

At the end of things, I guess this is a pretty pointless post. I was hoping I would be able to find some sense where there is none. To gain some understanding of something that is just flat out incomprehensible.

May whatever remains of the rest of their lives be nothing but misery.

I remember my son literally crying for 3 or 4 hours non-stop. (Even had some Twitter posts about it show up in my Timehop the other day.) It was rough. I had a hard time with it. So yeah...I remember thinking, "I could see how someone with little self control or with anger issues or whatever could hurt their child." Thankfully, I wasn't alone and I knew to just leave the room.

Has anyone heard if his little body had been claimed and buried by family?

Also I wonder what charges could be brought against them for the bruises and severe rash ( in looking at it more it looks like his whole left leg from crotch down is bruised) that can be seen in the photo? His right knee and leg also has large brusing on it. It's the photo of him sucking his thumb. What do you think?

Also why long sleeves in the summer? To hide brusing?

Where are these pictures? Facebook? Link to them, please.

From your link:

Bury said Walsh then pressed a pacifier into his 7-week-old son’s mouth until the infant began bleeding, according to the unredacted arrest report.

Walsh then allegedly took Chance into a bathroom, the arrest report states. He came out a short time later and told Bury that there was a diaper wipe in Chance’s throat.

“Kristen Bury noted that Chance was turning blue when he was brought out of the bathroom,” the arrest report states. “Attempts to remove the diaper wipe were done, and after extreme measures, the wipe was removed by Kristen. Kristen stated that when removing the diaper wipe from within Chance’s throat, trauma to Chance’s mouth occurred.”

Trauma to Chance's mouth and throat. Walsh takes Chance into the bathroom. Something feels off but I hope I'm wrong.

I guess I will say the word, "sodomy." And there is no way this woman, Kristen, was not right next to her man when every bit of this horror was unfolding. After all, she said it herself, "no matter what happens, good OR BAD"--she LOVES her husband.

me either. I want to hold him close. poor baby.

Damnit. That's all I keep thinking.

The wipe. Loaded with soap and chemicals. The poor baby was in so much pain and bleeding. And the wipe must have stung so terribly.

Thoughts of this baby are consuming me. I can't stop thinking of his pain.

I was thinking it; just couldn't say it.

While the damage done to Chance's mouth and throat wouldn't be sodomy*, it certainly sounds consistent (possibly) with sexual assault. Which, as we all know, is often a violent, evil man's #1 option to exercise the ultimate power and control (they both wanted him to shut up and go away, that much is clear). Hopefully JW is as stupid as he is evil, and he didn't get rid of his bloody clothes as well as he thought he did. I know this case SEEMS like a slam dunk against both of them but the more evidence LE can recover the better.

*ETA: I stand corrected. Oral is also sodomy. I didn't know that. UGH.

We're a little preoccupied with the baby wipe at the moment, but we all remember the details of the affidavit: JW was beating Chance so badly that KB told him to stop before he "f*cking broke Chance's neck" - her words. Since Chance was gasping for breath afterwards he may have had (1) rib fractures puncturing the lungs, (2) brain damage in the brain stem, which controls respiration, (3) damage to the epiglottis and/or larnyx which compromised his airway (from the alleged baby wipe, strangulation or oral rape), (4) internal bleeding leading to shock, tachycardia and increased respiration.

I think the autopsy is going to be hideous.

Re: your ETA-
As soon as I read "throat and mouth trauma" and the bs diaper wipe (like these cancers ever changed Chance), I suspected JW orally sodomized his infant son to death.

God d**m him to hell.

And they had plenty of time to clean up so LE found the spots in the house that they missed. It's pretty clear that there were at least two separate attacks that day. Vicious enough that they didn't even try to get aid; there are plenty of cases where a caregiver calls 911 or takes the baby to the hospital and makes up some flimsy story about the baby accidentally falling or some such nonsense. Something was done to Chance that couldn't be covered up with even the wildest story.

Bingo. Which is why they called 911 for Duane, but not for Chance. There was not a prayer in hell they could have explained the away the evidence of severe battery they committed on this infant. No way. Which is why KB said she didn't want to call because she didn't want to lose both the people she loved on the same day. She knew JW, and her, would go down instantly if the authorities saw Chance's body.

It's interesting that KB says JW took Chance into the bathroom, and the bathroom is where there is evidence of forceful violence, enough to cause blood spatter. How handy for her that she didn't see what actually happened, but just tried to "help" Chance after the fact, by pulling the baby wipe from his throat. Oh what a wonderful mother she really is. *barfs

Just as an aside... if it's Under the Black (redacted) there's usually a really good reason. As this case is clearly showing us. I can't even imagine how first responders, LE and forensics people are able to do what they do with what they see so often. My respect level for them is insanely high.

"you are going to break his f****** neck" - Kristen Bury (on her baby boys abuse & death, she bleeping said that!)

I think they tortured Chance. A sweet little defenceless baby.
My mind has been going to dark places along with the rest of you.
And my heart is so broken.

I think we're going to find out more about Duane (her other son) (possible dead twins) & the other children (that were taken away).
There was a hostile environment & it seems that the relationship between KB & JW was extremely toxic and violent.
Add drugs + mental illness into that mix and you have a sick, sick storm.

I originally typed out this long angry rant & then lost the text by accident..
Sigh.
Probably a good thing.
