So, let me get this straight .. we can charge people with child endangerment when they put their child in jeopardy and their child is still here to tell the tale.
"Tanning booth devotee Patricia Krentcil has pleaded not guilty to charges of child endangerment, after allegations that she allowed her five-year-old daughter to use a sunbed."

But we should not charge people with child endangerment when they put their child in jeopardy and their child goes missing or is found dead? (Levon Wameling .. Cherish Perrywinkle .. .. and there are plenty more).
