Okay so I think that the fluffy article implies the document is supposed to prove that BJ knew about Cherish but lied that he didn't. I expect Rayne showed it to that reporter too. It is a safety blanket.

yeah, that's what I figured too....it's a big old red herring safety blanket. It has nothing to do with her current court case. She needs to prove she's a fit parent and the girls will be safe with her. She might as well be flashing BJ's 2nd grade report card for all it has to do with the case at hand.

Also, regarding the article's

One month later, a woman at the shelter would document that a Billy Jarreau had arrived. The woman said he told her he’d return. He never did.

...the 'document' she's flashing is NOT dated one month later (than the 'incident'). It's a 'document' written three years after the alleged instance. It's worthless, IMO. It's not even type-written and I doubt it's witnessed and notarized.

I really think that Rayne is mentally ill and brain damaged (probably from years of drug use).

I'm not saying that to be cruel, I worked with dual-diagnosed individuals for years and she talks/behaves exactly like my old clients used to. She's never had the judgment and intelligence to properly care for children and she never will. As a society we would be doing those two girls an injustice to ever return them to her as she is permanently mentally disabled. I can't even get angry with her, she has no clue and that sad piece of paper she's parading about just proves her lack of intelligence. It's depressing that the media is exploiting her to be honest.

I tried to post a thoughtful reply to this but I will admit that I struggle with being sympathetic to this woman but I do think you're on to something. RP does not function, in any way, as that of a neuro-typical woman of her given age. She comes across as being closer to a young teen and with that in mind I'm not shocked that tragedy ensued.

The Stroller Sought In Cherish Perrywinkle Case Has Been Located

In the morning on Saturday, August 10, 2013 an alert citizen contacted police about a stroller they had located in the 2300 block of Broward Road. The Homicide Unit responded to the scene and we are confident that it is the stroller we were looking for in the Cherish Perrywinkle murder case.

Thank you to all of the Jacksonville citizens for your help and helping us get the word out about this very important part of the investigation that was still outstanding.

I, for one, am not interested in seeing or hearing AP or RP anymore until they are under oath and testifying about the facts of the life they subjected their children to, the choices they made, where the child support went, the benefits they received, etc. Then I hope that they provide info that they can be prosecuted for and have their parental rights severed forever.

RP and AP will never be capable of being proper parents. They are basically parasites that used their young children to fund their life. They lived off of their children and expected their children to provide for them (child support, gov't benefits, various charity benefits, etc) , they NEVER provided for their children.

This has been a horrific story from day one and it has only gotten worse with everything that we discover, Cherish is gone and her father, stepmother and siblings will forever feel the loss of her. The only possible good that can come from this is that the 2 younger girls are forever removed from these 2 parasites and placed with people who can care for them , love them, and give them the life that they deserve.

It will be interesting to hear evidence when this goes to trial.

From July but I don't remember seeing this before:

As part of the first degree murder charge, Action News asked if the prosecution has evidence of premeditation, after neighbors told us they saw Smith putting toys in his van days before the murder.

"He bought a little stuffed horse and put it right by the driver's dash and I said to my husband...he's doing that to attract kids. That's so obvious," said neighbor, MG.

so, the neighbor is supicious that DS wants to attract kids with the toys in the van but says nothing? is this a hindsight comment or did they know he was a RSO?
sorry, it gets me when there is always someone who saw something but says nothing...until the journos come with the microphones and the cameras rolling...

I imagine it is hindsight "suspicious" kinda like RP and her hindsight realization that DS was creepy. Bleeping idiots ...

Yeah, that's so obvious Mary G that you didn't think to report it. Brilliant. (not)

I'd love to see all the people that "knew" how creepy, dangerous or what have you DS was charged. Maybe that would put an end to their desire for 15 minutes of "fame".

You might now someone is creepy/dangerous, but that doesn't mean you can do something about it. Even if somebody saw him putting toys in a car, that's not illegal.

It was a tongue in cheek post. I'm just sick of people that wait until babies are dead to suddenly pop up and remember crap. Nobody should be getting their 15 minutes on the back of a dead child.

Yeah...Normally I would agree, it's annoying when something bad happens and people come out of the woodwork saying I always knew something bad would happen... But in this case, I believe her and I don't think it was mere hindsight. Because she knew he was a pedophile and I think the majority of people automatically expect bad things from pedophiles. It's different when it's an apparently upstanding citizen who was never caught for anything before and then people say they knew it in their bones that he had an evil eye or something. But we're talking about a child molester who was fresh out of prison here. It's no rocket science to figure out he's probably up to no good...

JMO but I think that the sentiment behind the statement probably was not "see how clever I am, I knew he was creepy before anyone else did"... more like, "why did you ever let that creep out of jail, when everybody knew that he'd do creepy stuff again". She was quoted in the context of the neighborhood knowing that DS had been released from prison after doing creepy things and most people expect sex offenders to reoffend more often than not. So all the neighbors having a bad feeling about him would just go with the territory. Who wouldn't have a bad feeling about a known child molester moving next door and buying toys? The prevailing feeling in the neighborhood seemed to be frustration that he was just allowed to return and victimize more children.

You make a good point. I mean, what was this woman to do? Call 911 and report that her RSO neighbor has (likely) legally purchased stuffed animals displayed in an automobile on his mother's property? No laws broken there. And even if she did place a call, what can the police department do? Tell him to stop it? I don't think having stuffed animals/toys in in his mother's van is parole revoking action.

And considering the sheer number of RSOs in this country, no police department has the man power to watch over the actions of these people, even the stuffed animal owning ones, 24/7.

Yeah, it's not like the authorities didn't already know that he was out there...

Ugh, that is an issue that makes me livid. We lock druggies up for 20+ years and turn these predators out in our communities. Our priorities are all screwed up but I'm off to take the nieces to orientation so I can't rant for hours. School starts Thursday. /cry
