It seems like the defense spent a ton of time and resources preparing for this sentencing hearing since they had 0% ability to do anything at the verdict phase of trial. Even if their chance at sentencing was minimal they had 5 years to prepare for this and this is all they could really prepare, IMO. Not enjoyable for anyone involved, including DS (which makes the tedium worth it to me, he seems to really be suffering waiting for his sentence).

I'm actually laughing at this comment. Of course he learns. He may have problems with his brain, however he is also Anti-Social Personality. He doesn't care about other people. That's not a learning thing. It's a psychopathy. He has no regard for anyone impacted by his actions. ​
