I like this judge, she is very fair. I don't expect that this testimony will be allowed to continue, but she is doing the right thing to allow the defense to defend it. (Not sure how they will or can!)

Even if the judge does allow it where is the defense going with it? If he gets death he'll be segregated. It's almost as if they're saying, "he needs to be segregated, so choose death."

I'm confused.

Me too. The witness himself said he would be segregated anyway. Segregated with life in prison, segregated with death. Not sure what their plan was here.

Or, in the alternative, if he gets LWOP, let's make a special exception for him and build a new wing on the prison strictly for pedophiles/child murderers.

Maybe they are trying to say being segregated for life is worse than death?

Maybe I'm just too into this case as far as getting justice...but I feel like that's so weak.

Is anyone a wee bit concerned that a juror was wanting to ask a question during the mitigation phase? Could be nothing at all though.

Just came back on.

No, thank you! Think of his "sharing" with his buddy in jail that they taped. They'd go for bragging rights.

Better to lock him up in his own wing.

He seems to be nervously rocking

Jury has the right to ask questions in Florida.

Oh maybe. First making the point that he'd HAVE to be segregated for his own safety, then making a point that it would be torture?

Witness sounds just like James Earl Jones (hope I have named the right actor)

Judge - Testimony cannot cover what may happen to him in prison or the type of security he may need.

The jury has returned

Shout out for Canada Yeah!!!!! lol

He's discussing prison rape.
Defense better watch herself.
So she is asking he be able to testify as to prison security.
Judge allows.
He testifies DS should be housed in high security. Says he is very lowest level of being threat to staff or other inmates.
Considers him very vulnerable.
Judge says "I think we're ok so far"

I want him to read me a bedtime story.

hi everyone. work has gotten in the way but i am listening right now.

defense counsel needs to thread super duper lightly. as for the defendant.... well... i don't want to get banned.

can anyone tell me where the "mother" is? is she in the courtroom?

I feel like the defense is pushing it a little with their questioning. I also feel like it makes them look desperate and their client even more repulsive.
