Childhood pictures. Get out of here with this nonsense.

Are we getting photos now...ahhhh....please!!

Ten years old -- older than Cherish will ever be -- this is supposed to help him?

I feel like this witness has an abnormal amount of disdain for his mother, considering he's on trial for horrifically raping and murdering a child.

Yes!! I also feel like she blames her for the monster he became! Also her tone when she was describing the photos of “Don” was upbeat and sounded like a mother showing off her own! Ugh this whole thing is a tragedy and it was all caused by This monster!!

We have some lawyers here. Can someone explain to me why they're showing childhood pictures of him?

Showing photos of DS's mom holding DS as a baby; bio dad; DS as a toddler; DS and his maternal grandmother (looks like at a church); DS and his grandfather in a body of water; DS with maternal grandparents; DS as a kid riding bike; DS 10 yrs old (school pic); pic of first step father; second step father; DS as teenager; DS 9th grade class; DS and date at high school dance

Photographs were from DS's mother

It won't and I pray the prosecution zeroes in on that fact.

My heart is not warming up to him at all. I doubt the jury feels sorry from either. All I can think of is what he did to Cherish.

Continuing photos:
Third stepfather; 9 mug shots of DS (these are pretty much the only adult photos of DS according to witness).

A strategy in any lawsuit is to humanize your side and dehumanize the other side. Even in writing court documents at my firm, my client is always named and the other side is always "the defendant." So calling him "Don" and showing pictures of him is an attempt to humanize IMO, to subtly and unconsciously affect how jurors think.

I have to do life now. What kind of fresh hell am I living in?! ;)

Thanks for keeping the thread updated, everyone. I look forward to watching the cross later tonight!

Not sure what the 3X symbol on his jail uniform is but he's not a large man.

"He did not seek medical treatment, because he was trying to kill himself."

That...that...makes no sense.

Only successful at killing someone else on the 1st try (maybe), but 3 attempts failed for himself.

Looks like he had an idyllic childhood; only derailed with the drugs probably.

Has an excellent disciplinary record. She’s referring to his life in jail- well I’d like to think he’s not tempted to reoffend since he’s where he belongs! Away from minors!!

Cross starting now. I was hoping for the female prosecutor but nope! This guy is good too.

He's a model prisoner. No problems with impulse control while incarcerated. Shares his 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 mags with fellow inmates; buys them stuff from the commissary in prison with mom's funds for him; lets the select few sit on his bunk to look at his mags.

Rut-roh - Cross.

Wake up, folks!

I just got back at the right time. Brother dropped in.

:boohoo: with the pics of him as a kid. I could care less about that. Should show pics of Cherish and then blank pics to depict that any other photos will never happen since he killed her
