Nice pic of Ms. Baty (aka Batty). She looks like the typical white trash that would do this.

if she couldn't deal with a four year old how was she going to deal with TWINS.

This sickens me. Just flat out sickens me.

From what I can tell, the reports from two weeks ago indicated that Holli would be released within days.....it's been weeks now and in jail she still sits!
Inconsistance seems to be the pattern here for WhatEver reason...;)

There must not be enough fools with money to bail her out. Good.

This person shouldn't get out of jail on bail. She murdered a little girl for pity sake. I hope the judge got a lot of feedback when he made that decision and he has changed his/her mind.

I wonder if there are two sisters because one sister went to the police and told them a lot of things that Holli had told her. The sister with the website seems to believe that Holli didn't do anything wrong.

The sister with the website doesn't understand why the boyfriend took his son and left and then his parents have the twins also. Did she really expect the dad to support Holli after she murdered his little girl? Of course he took his boy and left. I also don't understand why she thinks that the dad's family should feel all warm and fuzzy towards Holli and her family. Holli's family is blaming the dad and acting like Holli is Ms. Innocent.

I think the sister and the rest of the family need to take a good look at the cause of death of this little girl and what led up to it. Seems to me they are in deep denial. Maybe a talk with the ME would help them to face the facts of this little girl's death. Who ever heard of a buildup of blood forcing a person's head to fracture.

there is a blog called "a mom and her blog" that did a story on this. people claiming to be from both families posted in response. its the net so no way to know for sure if its really the family posting.... the lady who says she is holly's sister makes alot of comments about she could start out with my sister did it and end with help me free her. it is a interesting read at the very least. i am unsure if under these circumstances i can post a link to it or not.

i will post the link here so mods can easily delete it if they feel it is inappropriate. http://amomandherblog.com/?p=741

It is the familes involved posting there.

This morning peek reveals that Batty is still in custody.

I have to wonder on how honest the report was on that much money raised. The Yana Huss Memorial Fund received far less support - so far - and she was the one murdered not the murderer!

I have seen this shifting for quite a few years now. There was a time that when a death by homicide had occurred there will be a beautiful website set up for the victim(s) immediately, mostly by friends and families. There was no website set up for the criminal charged or convicted. Times are now changing.

Now when there is a crime what we are beginning to see are support sites for the defendant or convicted inmate crop up immediately and always it seems the site is asking for monetary donations.

What this woman has done is despicable. She should receive nothing but disdain. Anyone who murders an innocent child is rotten to the core imo.

I hope she stays right there in that cell until they find her guilty and send her to prison hopefully for the rest of her pathetic life.

Thanks for posting that link. Very interesting stuff. Hard to know what to believe.

In cases where the victim has increased intracranial pressure from an intracranial bleed, the brain and stem is put under so much pressure that it can even herniate. I've never heard of such a thing that it caused the skull to crack. The crack could have been from the initial fall (or when the injury was inflicted upon the baby as alleged) and then the baby had the bleed and passed away.

You are correct. In children of this age with sutures closed, herniation of the medial temporal lobes into the brain stem will occur, not a skull fracture.

The woman accused of killing her ex-boyfriend's 4-year-old daughter is no longer sitting in a jail cell.

Holli Lyn Baty, 25, was released from Charlotte County Jail Monday afternoon after family members posted her $550,000 bond. Her location isn't being disclosed for safety reasons.

"We're all just ecstatic," said Holli's younger sister, Kelli Baty. "She doesn't deserve to be there (in jail). She deserves to be home with her family."

Holli Baty declined to comment at this time.

The family raised money with $55,000 contributed by those who read about Baty's story on a Web site Kelli created, www.helpforholli.com. The remainder of the money came from a family member who took out a home equity loan, Kelli said."

UNBELIEVABLE! WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD DONATE MONEY TO THIS BABY KILLER. And her sister is just as bad as she is, for condoning and enabling this terrible crime. What a crying shame.

The family is also looking to get Baty supervised visitation with her twin sons, Caleb James and Gaberial Lee Eairheart, who were born March 24 while she was incarcerated. A court order prohibits Baty from having any contact with all minors.
The twins live with their father and grandmother, Wesley and Lori Eairheart. Lori said she's not comforted by the judge's orders that Baty cannot have visitation with the twins or her other son, Wesley Jr, a toddler.
"She cannot request visitation," Lori Eairheart said. "But it doesn't make me feel any better. If I could afford an alarm system, I would have one installed today. I can't imagine anyone believing she is innocent."
Eairheart said she believes Baty will be living less than three miles away from her son and his three children. "She (Baty) might be feeling desperate and want to see the kids. What does she have to lose?" Eairheart said. "Now we have to be so cautious for the next 18 months to two years while we wait for a trial."

I can not believe there are people who would donate to such a cause without first reading up on the facts. So now all of these crazy "moms" will be getting these kind of websites, I bet. Wow, These people must feel so bad right now nowing they helped get a child killer out of jail.

Sadly I am not shocked...
Like any topic you can find the fringe fanatic groups online..
In this case it is those who feel that its ok to abuse a child or its those that believe that many people who are prosecuted are innocent.

This will be my first post. I hav been involved with this case and just want to tell the world about it. Cheyenne Eairheart was 4 years old when she was murdered. Below are the links to her story. It is much to involved for me to write it all here but I know you may be interested in following the case. The murderer is scheduled to go on trial in March, 2007.
Let me know how you all feel about this.
First article. I will continue to post the links for more of the story.

Welcome, Retired!

I remember this case. Here's another thread about it:http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49809&page=3&highlight=eairheart
To jog people's memory, "Holli was arrested because, according to a police report, she abused Cheyenne by taping her eyes shut when she refused to sleep and smearing feces on her face as punishment for soiling herself. Cheyenne was in Holli's care the day of her death and sustained a fractured skull that could not have been self-inflicted," This is the case where the perp's sister put up a website to support her and ask for donations. I remember being enraged at the time.

Thank you Steadfast. This case is very close to my heart. Holli will be going on trial on March 4 2008 and I hope and pray she gets convicted.
