FL FL - Cieha Taylor, 28, dropped off bf, car found on tracks, Plant City, 6 Feb 2020 *Reward*

Lots of questions: Were the found shoes the same that Cieha was wearing when she went missing? So, can these shoes be connected to the perpetrator? Or did someone (stupidly) place a different pair of her shoes at the sign, confusing everyone? If her shoes were placed orderly next to her sign, I think it is unlikely that they were placed to mislead the investigation. More likely the perpetrator was playing psychological games. In this scenario I believe it is likely that the person acted alone, was not connected to Cieha and used his own car as well. He must have parked his car somewhere in the area of where Ciaha car was found. Also this person probably returned by car to place the shoes. Were camera's checked for cars in the area during the time of the disappearance and when the shoes were found? Can this scenario be somehow connected to a cars tied to the disappearance of Veronica Diaz on January 18th?

Yes, my understanding is the shoes were the ones she was wearing. On a facebook post, someone close to the investigation in one of the groups said, "20 days after Ciehas disappearance on February 26 her shoes were found located not too far from her car next to a light pole that had her picture on it attached to a missing persons flyer. Family, friends and police officers searched this area prior the shoes were not there prior to this date. it’s as if someone placed them there. Police recovered the shoes they were confirmed by Ciehas Mother that they were in fact Ciehas shoes."

Another family member or friend on the same post said, "a few weeks after she went missing her shoes were placed near a flyer and near the vigil the family had"

ABC Action News reported, "And just weeks after police found Cieha’s car, her mother says Cieha's shoes were found just up the road.

“I felt that they were placed there and it was somebody maybe was, remorseful,” said Canitha.

Still, no new leads."

Nothing says they are unequivocally the same shoes, but it sure looks like the family believes they are and the police are investigating it. They don't know why they turned up there. The placement sort of suggests it wasn't part of the shrine thing that's on location, it was on top of a drainage pipe with a missing poster on it near the vigil site.

I'm looking into Veronica's case too, my first concern was that they are connected and their could be additional public safety threats. It's hard to say, because apparently she was in a fight with her boyfriend when she supposedly left his house and the family has seen texts corroborating that. But they can't talk about it because it's an active investigation, that was as much as they would disclose on Facebook. But, it's interesting that these happened about a month a part in January and February, then in March nothing, but that's when Coronavirus took hold of our area, right after the Strawberry Festival that brings like 100,000 people to Plant City every weekend. Then April first we went into lockdown, and everything has been a mess since then, the virus is killing a ton of people around here and the protests turned to small manageable riots in nearby metro areas, with even protests in our little town (ETA - #BLM). So if the two are linked, it could be that who ever is involved has plans for more but they were foiled by world events.

Finding Cieha

This was in the April 15 post & it may not hold importance but I thought I’d note it anyway.

States that when the police officer found her car it was on the tracks running with the driver door open. Her phone was on the ground.
The police officer then moved the car & locked her belongings inside of it.

I bring this up because I keep reading “car found with phone inside...” I’m assuming they mean when the family friend found the car AFTER the police officer had moved it 4 days earlier.
If a car is found running in an unusual location with the door opener & phone on the ground, that speaks volumes to me! IMO
That’s a very large discrepancy. Thanks for reminding us of this.

Did I miss that the Hillsborough Police Department said the boyfriend and/or his friend have been cleared?

In the April 18th Find Ceiha FB post, they say the boyfriend and his friend have been interview many times, and the police say the boyfriend's story "pans out" and he is not a suspect. They go on to say the house of the friend and surrounding area has been searched. Bay News 9 quotes Ceiha's sister saying, "Canines, helicopters, going door-to-door. The kind of did their thing." Most of the articles I've read phrase it more like, "The police have no leads at this time," or something like that, but yes, it seems to be the case that they are not being considered by the PD at this time, and the investigation is open.

@WaywardWriter I hope my reply didn’t come across rude, because that was not my intention! I appreciate your posts.
I had just wanted to clarify that those individuals have not been officially cleared by LE.

No, I didn't think so! No worries!

Good investigators rarely say anybody is "cleared." They'll only say things like "no evidence to indicate" or "at present" or "the story pans out." Because even though they don't thinks somebody is involved, they don't know what evidence is going to turn up tomorrow to totally change the picture. It's kind of frustrating but it's good in that they (probably) don't have tunnel vision.

Will today be the day we find Cieha? Will we get answers today? God we pray we do. Its been 124 days and nothing! Our hearts are broken and shattered thinking about all the what if’s or endless possibilities of what happened to our girl!

Cieha Taylor was last seen on February 06, 2020 in Plant City Florida. We are asking for anybody with information to please contact HCSO at 813-247-8200. Please continue to pray with us we get a break and find a lead that will aid in finding Cieha.

BF and pal have maintained their answers. I've seen nothing to "clear" them, besides each other's statements.

I'm pretty sure the shoes were not set at the memorial, but as mom said "down the road". I took it, at the time, that they were tossed out by whoever left the car on the tracks. I still don't think she was there, unless she was pulled over by LE and taken somewhere. Shoes that had been overlooked in a hurried removal of a person, could be tossed out a window later. As long as we can't rule anyone out.

Podunk PD hasn't got the resources of the FBI, the intellect, or the victim neutrality. IMSLTHO

Finding Cieha

I was going back through previous posts on Finding Cieha fb page to see if there were any new updates given by author in the comments; I did see this one:
MAY 29
Someone asked if the boyfriend had been ruled out?
On Fri (June 6) they answered: No.

Did Cieha Taylor's Criminal Past Come Back to Harm Her?

Cieha Annette Taylor vanished over three months ago, and the circumstances of her disappearance are truly suspicious.
What's more, the missing woman's criminal past is troubling enough to draw further suspicion.

The missing woman was very recently (prior to her disappearance) arrested on felony drug charges in Pasco County, Florida. She has also been arrested in association with grand theft auto charges. From the looks of these criminal charges, there is no doubt that Cieha Taylor may associate herself with dangerous individuals -- people who may even be willing to harm her if they find it necessary.
Early in the search for the Florida woman, rumors circulated that she may be struggling with recovery, depression and suicidal thoughts. Her mother hit back at those rumors in public statements, declaring that she believed Cieha was in danger. Around this time, the missing woman's shoes were found in an area not far from where she was last seen. This indicates that someone either disposed of them intentionally, or she lost them in the course of traveling in that direction. No evidence has been publicized to determine either theory.
The missing woman's boyfriend has been questioned many times, and is not a suspect. The man's name has not been revealed through any media reports, which is an interesting detail.

This is a very bizarre and troubling case. According to Google, sunset in Plant City on Feb. 6 was 6:12 PM. So it would have still been light out when she went to the boyfriend's friend's house and most likely when her car was left on the tracks. It would have been dark by the time the cop found it around 7 and moved it. But if it was dumped on the tracks by someone else (which IMO I believe it was), it wouldn't have been dark yet, unless they dumped it after like 630 and very near to the time the cop found it.

I do not see this being a case where she went off on her own. The main reason I say this is the shoes placed three weeks later. I guess the question for me is whether it was someone known to her or if she was intercepted by someone somehow after leaving the boyfriend's friend's house. MOO

Just a question. There is no possibility of run away?

Just a question. There is no possibility of run away?
Anything is possible. The odd factor is the shoes. JMO. If she ran away, or set it up to make it look like she ran away, why would her shoes show up later? If she ran away, she'd need money to replace the shoes and someone to place them back near the car. That seems like an odd series of events to me. If she ran away, she'd split, go incognito, leave the area, hide somewhere no one would think to look. I don't think she ran away. JMO

If her disappearance is related to illegal drug use, retaliation, or kidnapping, then someone is playing games by leaving the shoes. They either brought them back due to remorse, or maybe a witness thought they'd "help" by bringing them back. It is an odd series of events and does not strike me as a runaway. She has too much family that is visibly and audibly upset with her disappearance.

A bit disappointed at the article's blame/shame angle.

I agree with you. Whether there is truth to it or not, I posted it to share so WS members would be aware it was out there.

Finding Cieha

As I was checking for updates on the Finding Cieha fb page, this post caught my attention!

JUNE 11
Included with the post are a couple of photos of Cieha & there is also a quote. It reads, “The missing and murdered cannot cry out for justice. It is the duty of the living to do so for them.”
Then as you read through comments someone claiming to be an ex of Cieha’s boyfriend passes on some worrisome info if true. The page responds by asking if they contacted LE and if they remember the name of who they spoke to.

Wow! I hope they look into this and interview more people to get a better perspective... especially since they were apparently fighting during the time she went missing.. this is so heartbreaking, I wish her family some peace and closure very soon!! :(
