God, sometimes I am disgusted with the way some of the people on Websleuths act; very judgmental. Of course, it's not them being judged.

It makes me ashamed to be a member of this forum.

I agree with you Lurker Steve. That's why I don't post often.I think we jump to conclusions too quickly before having facts in.
Ellen, You and your family are in my prayers. I have never walked in your shoes and I don't pretend to. I can't even imagine the pain you are going through.

Could you be more specific as to what judgments repulse you? This is a forum. So, you have to expect all sorts of opinions.

I haven't followed this case as closely as I have some others. However, at the very least, it is my understanding that the living conditions were deplorable and that the father had child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer. If both of these things are accurate, there is no excuse for it. That's my opinion. That's my judgment.

BTW, that's how we live our lives. We have to make judgments. That includes judgments about single mothers allowing their boyfriends access to their children, young, unmarried teens becoming pregnant, thugs beating up and robbing people, etc.

Judging people and situations are a part of life and help us hopefully to make the right choices in how we live and how to stay safe.

P.S. If you choose to leave, let me be the first to say buh-bye. ;)

Offhand:

The judgment of the climbers on Mt. Hood as being irresponsible and unprepared, even though nobody really knew at the time whether this was even true or not. I even remember someone saying they should have known about the storm - one that didn't even happen for another week.

And this thread, of course.

Want to see where this logic leads?

You've made 500 posts to this forum in a month. Obviously you must not love your family if all you do is post here. I mean, normal, well-adjusted people hang out with their family, not post to message boards all day. Something must be seriously wrong with you. You even post during the day - if you are working, then you must be goofing off.

Do I believe this? No. But if you were accused of a crime, I bet this would be brought up and analyzed to death.

Lurker Steve, I'm assuming your example is just that, an example and that you aren't stalking nanandjim's comments. Right? :waitasec:

Did you make your complaints on the Mt. Hood thread? All I can tell you is that you'd better stay away from the Political Pavillion. lol

Steve, its these times when you need to send me a PM or hit the alert button. We do sound harsh, but we try to look at the good, the bad and the ugly in every situation. So many times, we've hoped for the best and got the worst. Please try to understand the frustration that is at the heart of so many of the posts that you find unsavory. I know from experience that sometimes the answers just don't come. We know that law enforcement and the media read here. Maybe, just maybe someone will post what might be a passing thought and it hits home for one of them.

TALLAHASSEE -- After two days of lobbying in Tallahassee, Ellen-Beth Fullwood returned to her Fort Myers home with hope.

The mother of 6-year-old Coralrose, who was abducted, sexually abused and slain in North Port on Sept. 17, spent time talking to state and local representatives about strengthening a proposed child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 bill.

Fullwood pointed out loopholes in the law that don't allow prosecutors to do their jobs effectively. For instance, she said, a doctor must say a victim is a child younger than 18 in order to prosecute. But Fullwood said some children look 18 when they are 13 and vice versa.

She explained this to lawmakers on Wednesday and Thursday, and Fullwood said she is making progress.

"It was wonderful," she said. "It was great. They listened."

Police: We are not giving up

* Police are still working leads in the death of Coralrose, and say the case is not cold. Custody of the Fullwood's remaining four children ages 4-13 was granted to their grandparents, Saul and Doreen VanderWoude of Fort Myers. In the last few weeks, FDLE agents have interviewed the children at their school on two separate occasions.*

Six-year-old Coralrose Fullwood was found dead Sept. 17 two blocks from her home on Calabash Lane.

Custody of the Fullwood's remaining four children ages 4-13 was granted to their grandparents, Saul and Doreen VanderWoude of Fort Myers.

In the last few weeks, FDLE agents have interviewed the children at their school on two separate occasions.

According to Doreen, agents spent more than an hour with 9-year-old September Fullwood.

"The first time FDLE called to let us know, as a courtesy. The second time, which was last week sometime, was unannounced," Doreen said.

The interviews took place in a private place in the school, and according to Doreen, someone was in the room with her.

She said the children are still fragile, and will be meeting the court-appointed guardian Friday to discuss future interviews. Doreen wants to make sure the school's grief counselor is present at future interviews.

Fullwoods agree to leave children with grandparents.

Attorneys for DCF have argued that it's not just a dirty house case, saying Coralrose's killing is still unsolved and police have not cleared either parent as a suspect in the death.

Dale Fullwood said the decision to avoid the trial was a relief because of the media attention and the animosity between him and his wife.

"She ditched me and did everything possible to make me look bad and her look like an angel," he said.

The Fullwoods separated after he was arrested in October on two felony counts of possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

The couple of 13 years don't speak, and Ellen-Beth Fullwood has said the only thing stopping her from filing for divorce is the cost of hiring an attorney.

In a recent court appearance where Ellen-Beth Fullwood was granted unsupervised visits with her children, she brought up concerns she had about her husband possibly sexually abusing two of her daughters when they were younger. No such allegations were ever reported to authorities.

In turn, Ellen-Beth Fullwood's parenting came under fire by her husband's attorney, who questioned how many hours she spends reading and writing on the Herald-Tribune's Web site, heraldtribune.com, and whether she yells at her children.

Funny, his attorney thinks she is spending too much time writing on the Herald Tribune but 🤬🤬🤬🤬 makes one a better parent? OK, as usual, it is defense attorney logic.

It is always hindsight after a tragedy for a parent to realize child abuse caused by another parent/relative/close friend. Does anyone wonder if these parents ever talk to their children?

Thanks, River Rat for keeping us informed. I am very interested in this case and the outcome.

:blowkiss:

I noticed that there was a new post or two recently by Ellen where she flat out states that Dale will never receive forgiveness for his sins, so I have to at least give her kudos for that decision.

I will do my best too keep up with the local coverage as I do know how many here care about CoralRose and and concerned over just who hurt her and her family.

I hope this isn't the first that they have met with the kids after all of this time. I'm glad that the kids have a grief counsler at the school. I'm sure that they are all still mourning the death of their little sister.

I just wish that LE could find out who murdered little CoralRose. Her blanket being with her still makes me believe that it was someone close to her and didn't want her to be cold while laying out there.

Coralrose's family losing hope.

http://www.heraldtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070317/NEWS/703170486/0/NEWS1202

Coralrose's father, Dale Fullwood, says it's too little too late. He says if police would have believed him that he and his family were not involved and moved on to other suspects right away, they might have caught his daughter's killer by now.

"They wasted the past six months going after Ellen and me and here the person could have gotten away with it," he said. "For all I know, he may be out of the country."

For Coralrose's mother, Ellen-Beth Fullwood, today is no anniversary.

It's day 186, another day with more questions than answers about what happened to her "Rosie." She refuses to believe the uncertainty will last forever.

"That would mean that she had no story," she said. "Right now her story is 'I went to bed and woke up dead.' The in-between needs to be filled in. It's law enforcement's job to do that."
