*Pretrial Conference Hearing (re both cases) (@ 1pm ET) - FL – Damion Allen Tillman (23) Keven Michael Springfield(30) & Brandon Cyril Rollins (27) (July 17, 2020, Frostproof) - *Mary Clare Whittemore (27/now 29) TJ''s gf arrested (7/21/20), charged (7/23/20) & arraigned (8/24/20) with 3 counts of accessory after the fact of a capital felony (F1). Plead not guilty. $45K bond for accessory ($15K for each count). Must wear GPS monitor upon release. In custody.
*Charged & indicted (10/29/20) with felony 2 perjury.

1/17/23 Update: Whittemore appeared Tuesday before Judge Lori A. Winstead. Her attorney Jonathan Mills said more time was needed before he expected the trial to start. Next pretrial conference hearing on 3/7/23 for both cases.

Violated bond conditions, back in jail 8/20/20. Bond denied (7/27/21) & denied bond (4/18/22).

1/17/23 Update: Wiggins appeared before Judge Lori A. Winstead & his case was continued. His defense attorney Cory Chastang said he & his client needed more time to prepare for a trial. A trial date has not been set. Next pretrial conference hearing on 3/7/23.

Wiggins arrested (7/21/20) & charged (7/23/20) & indicted (9/30/20) with 3 counts of 1st degree capital murder, tampering with evidence (F3), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (F-2) & possession of ammunition by a convicted felon (F-2). Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP.

1/27/23 Update: Wiggins appeared Friday before Judge J. Kevin Abdoney, who chastised the defense for the slow pace of the case, but set a new trial date for 7/22/24. Prior to the judge's order, jury selection for what was anticipated to be a four-week trial was set to begin 4/3/23. Judge Abdoney also ordered a final list of defense experts be disclosed to the court within two months & their expert reports are due within three months of Friday’s hearing to give time for prosecutors & the defense to prepare for trial. Judge Abdoney did not rule on a change of venue requested Dec. 5, 2022 by defense attorney Debra Tuomey. To a reporter outside the courtroom, she said, “There is no way that TJ Wiggins would get a fair trial in this county.” The pretrial publicity in Mr. Wiggins Jr. homicide prosecution continues to be so great that attempts to obtain impartial jurors in Polk County for any criminal matter would be futile & a change of venue should be granted,” Tuomey said. In other filings, Tuomey said the defense has also asked the judge to suppress evidence collected following a search of the 0 Sarver Road residence in Frostproof, where the Wiggins family was living at the time of the killings. The judge did not rule on any of those motions regarding the Wiggins case at the status hearing. The next case management hearing in the case was set for 3/10/23 for murder charge & a status hearing for firearms possession at the Polk County Courthouse in Bartow.

I shall wait to move TJ to 7/22/2324 jury selection, as I see in my notes there are depositions to be taken on 11/14 & 11/15 - ?? Seems to me like the July trial might be moved to a later date...

I shall check back next week - to see if they (court) might have changed the July date. :)

Oops - edited - my mistake - the jury selection is in 2024....

I have TJ's Aggravated battery & assault on LE on 6/20/23 - so just need the murder/firearms charges.
