FL - Daniel, 32, & Heather Kelsey, 30, found dead, Volusia County, 31 Dec 2016

The hazard lights would indicate to me that they were both feeling either suddenly or increasingly unwell while driving. Finally had to stop and exit the car - need for fresh air? Need to vomit? Feeling dizzy? Still able to think of switching on the hazard lights, but did not feel bad or scared enough to call 911. The article quoted above by SeesSeas says they were found unconscious and then pronounced dead at the scene. Looks like a steady and possibly speedy decline for both of them. I don't think they injected drugs, I think they ingested something, and it hit them while driving. jmo
My only thinking if they were doing illegal drugs and not saying they were. Then they wouldn't want to call LE. Moo

I'm glad they kept their children safe.

You'd think it must have been some kind of toxic substance that killed them without leaving a hint of foul play. But deliberately doing illegal drugs while driving with their children seems unlikely to me. And it's strange that something killed both adults. It's all extremely bizarre. Could the whole, sad scenario have been orchestrated by the two parents?

Devastated friends said the Kelseys had been "doing great"recently and have been left utterly shocked by the tragedy.

Implications???

It would be rare, but not impossible for this to be food poisoning. If both of them ate the same food and stopped due to nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, sudden death isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Tracy,
if u have a chance, come look at this story. We could use your expertise here. Do you have any idea what might have killed these two people? Does it look like a possible drug OD scenario?

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...dead-on-Fla-highway-on-New-Year%92s-Eve/page2

I looked at it earlier. I can definitely see an OD scenario but I don't know why they would be out of the car unless it was a "bad trip". Drugs would be at the scene and easily ruled in or out by LE. Usually you do Heroin or cocaine, etc and you get the high almost immediately depending on the method used to get it in your body. If it was snorted or something fat soluble it takes longer the metabolize so they'd get hit with the high later. Could explain being out of the car/ no drugs on scene if they were done at a different place.

I have a feeling though LE knows what happened.

Boy this is a bizarre one!

Random nothings

Both getting out of the car throws me for a loop. I suppose the time they exited car would be a big clue. But two people that end up dead, just seems like if your close to death from a substance walking might be hard.

Very strange indeed - but something had to be "planned" or discussed for two people to end up dead together outside a car that apparently was "driven" to the side of the road (like not sideways or something)-- it sounds like the car was parked.

The hazards , and both out of the car seems like it might be something they thought , at some point, was "wrong" with the vehicle. I can not come up with any reason to pull car off, put on hazards, and both exit.

Two people do not (especially with kids in back??) exit a car together, it would have to be discussed

What would motivate that? Vehicle distress

Snake bite??

Carbon Monoxide?

Murder-suicide

Maybe something laced- where were they before?

Forced out of car?

I would think tho, that the autopsies will answer all questions - what else could??

just rambling!!

Weird just weird

I am wondering if they might have taken some of the 'designer' drugs---like ecstasy or MDA---the ones that kill people at RAVES. Those can do major damage over a short amount of time, but leave no visible evidence of drug usage.

If they were at a party, they may have taken the drug and then begun to get too high and sick on the drive home?

http://news.sky.com/story/woman-dies-after-taking-ecstasy-at-club-rave-10305004

An investigation has been launched following the death of a woman who is thought to have taken Ecstasy at a nightclub rave.

The victim, who had been at The Box club in Crewe on Saturday night, was taken unconscious to Leighton Hospital in the town where she later died.

Police were called to the hospital at 1.50am and an inquiry is under way.

The Cheshire force believe the woman, who has not been named, had taken MDMA, which is also known as Ecstasy.

Sure. But as an RN, I like to look at all the possibilities. I've seen a lot of people die. Weird stuff happens, no?

Most recently heroin has been being laced with fentanyl but not real fentanyl, rather a home-made version and it is killing people in huge numbers. The fake fentanyl is the killer.

My friend, a physician, sees 4-5 of these deaths each week. Another friend's 42 year old nephew died from it right after Thanksgiving. It isn't being talked about and when it is, the users think it is a conspiracy to scare them into not using the drug. But, it is an epidemic.

It seems obvious to me that this is an dose of bad heroin.

There was a case on WS recently where they found a woman's car on the shoulder of a busy road in Miami. The windows were down, her purse and keys were left in the car. But they couldn't find her.

Seems she scored a Molly and was warned to be careful but she tried to drive home anyway.

Supposedly, Mollies can make you very hot and they feel that's why she's gotten out of the car and had rolled the windows down.

Unfortunately, they didn't find her for several days as she had gone over a guardrail and fell down an embankment (right by her car) and was covered by thick underbrush.

We've been hearing about here quite a bit. News said it's out of China being moved to the U.S. through Mexico.

I don't remember what I was watching (either an ID show or a Law and Order type show) but I remember someone was talking about DFO syndrome.

Done
Fell
Over

But I thought it was a euphemism for drugs as well.

But weird stuff happens all the time.

So do drugs.

So sad for their three small sons.

It does sound like drugs for both of them to die at the same time. When are parents going to realize their responsibilities change once they bring a baby into this world? They are no longer the carefree invincible person they once were!

Hopefully there is family that can take these boys to raise together in a happy nurturing home.

Carbon monoxide would have killed the kids too.
