earthacedemy, thanks for posting this here. I need to get it up on my blog, I've been so buried in the Brooke Bennett story that I haven't been able to get my brain to work to do it.

Welcome to WBS and thank you for the local support I've witnessed coming from you on getting the word out for a few years now on our most heartbreaking cases.....CoralRose, Yana Huss, Cheyene, and now this case.

Great Primetime tonight with what happened in Denise's case. Such a shame that this young mother did everything she could to be saved and unfortunately was not. My prayers to her family and friends.

I think 20/20 had even more information that dateline did. I had no idea there were 2 more witnesses that saw her struggle in the car. :( I wonder if their calls would have helped? I think what stands out the most to me is with all these 911 calls and they couldn't get it right- imagine how many people just have one 911 call?!?!

and seeing muxlow and king on t.v :furious:

If you missed the 20/20 Episode I am sure just as soon as possible they will have it on the www.deniseamberlee.org site.

Denise, Happy Birthday to you...
Twenty Two this year...
We will never forget what you went through...
or those you held so dear.
You have deeply touched many hearts with your grace...
Many you didn't even know...
we will always keep your memory in place...
and our community will forever grow.
Although you are not with us today...
You are shining from above...
Showing us in your special way
guiding us with love.
These words are so inadequate it seems...
To describe- our feeling this way...
We will forever hold you in our dreams...
Happy Birthday...

Please think of Denise and her family on this difficult day.

She was way to young to die. Does anyone know how that guy happened to choose Denise to kidnap that day? Did he see her somewhere and follow her?
I hope he never gets out of prison and that every day of his life is hell on earth.

It appears to be a random act of pure evil. Denise did not know this monster. She never left her home that day- until she was taken from it.
He is still in county jail. The trial has not started yet.

FBI helping in Denise Amber Lee murder investigation

By WINK News

Story Created: Aug 28, 2008 at 11:37 AM EDT
Story Updated: Aug 28, 2008 at 9:15 PM EDT

NORTH PORT, Fla. - WINK News was first on the scene as the FBI and local police search for evidence in the Denise Amber Lee case. Lee is the North Port mother who was kidnapped from her home, raped and murdered in January.

From the very beginning, people across the country have been captivated by this case and that includes the FBI. They’re assisting local law enforcement trying to find any new evidence that can help them in court.

For hours in the August heat, dozens of law enforcement officials searched the waters off Toledo Blade Boulevard.

Detectives from North Port, Charlotte County and Sarasota County have worked endlessly gathering new evidence against accused killer Michael King. Now the FBI divers joined that search.

IIRC, they thin he follwed her home from the bank, stalked her at home, and ironically, just after she got her abbaies down for a nap, he struck. It was mid-afternoon and her hubby missed her by minutes.

With her dad being in LE, I assume he will be locked up for a long time. Please support her foundation-They are trying to fix/repair the 911 system.

It could change a lot of lives. :)

There was a good story on Dateline on her also that is on this site.

She never left the house that day. So he couldn't have followed her that day.

I apologize. For some reason I thought that. I tried to correct my post, but for some reason the edit button does not appear by that post (maybe since its a day old?,IDK)

SO for everyone reading this, please disregard the details of my PREVIOUS post, but dont disregard that link and foundation info. Denise was a beautiful young lady who showed TREMENDOUS courage and strength during the nightmare of her last hours. She was so smart to leave behind evidence to help convict her killer. I do not think Im wrong about this stuff, but again, excuse me if so, but I did read an a couple articles posted above.

If you arent familiar with her case, please read one of her sites. Hers is one of the few that I have donated to. One look at her with her family, her natural beauty, her beautiful babies who have an angel watching over them. They were so young and don't deserve to have lost their mommy at such a young age.

Again, I apologize for such a HUGE error, but I tried to fix it. TY for correcting me :).

"Long-time North Port resident Chuck Briggs reported to the Sun that he saw Denise Amber Lee around 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the North Port Post Office on U.S. 41. He remembered her struggling with a large package she was mailing, and he held open the door so she could enter. He did not see the two children with Lee. The witness also saw a man waiting in the post office line, about four people behind Lee, whom he now believes was Michael King. He said he made eye contact with King. The witness has reported this information to police."

This would start to fill in the blanks - except for where were her kids?!

Earth Acedemy- Just so you dont think Im from mars , this is where I got my info- I mixed up the bank with the Post office. lol

You obviously know more facts than I, and thank you once again for pointing that out- It made me re-read this thread and see all the beautiful things people shared and said about Denise- God Bless her and her family.

Chicogirl, there's a lot of mis-information about this case. But having talked to her husband and her mother-in-law, I can tell you that she did not leave the house that day. The person reporting the post office sighting was wrong. Sadly, the press jumped on it without checking it out first.

Another mistake made in the media, and it was a large one, was her name. It was widely reported that Denise went by Amber, her middle name. She never used that name, and the family has no idea how that information was ever broadcast. You'd think they could at least get her name right!

Wow- That is sad to hear about the mis-information all around! EVERYTHING seems mixed up from the beginning to end! Is the true story anywhere online in print? I would like to know (if not too horrible), just so I personally have my facts straight. I have seen either Dateline or 20/20, but now Im not sure what is right- Also, the newer posts saying that there were more witnesses than thought that saw her/called 911.

Thank you for sharing- She is an adorable young lady and her boys are precious. What a shame that she had to leave them and this earth- Way too early. Obviously you (and maybe earthacademy?) knew her/know her family. Please let them know that there are people across the world praying for them and supporting their cause to repair some of the 911 glitches. :)

No problem, I dont think you are from Mars. lol There is lots of information on www.deniseamberlee.org and a mom and her blog. For more info. The only reason some of us know all the details is because it is so local and we have basically lived and breathed this tragedy since it happened. It was such a senseless tragedy and could have been prevented had the 911 call been answered and responded to properly. It worries me that most people in an emergency situation may get a chance to make "one" 911 call. In Denise's case there were 4 or more {including herself} and it was all messed up. We may never know how often this breakdown in call centers really happen. :(
:blowkiss: For Denise's precious boys and family.
