Found Deceased FL - Diana Alvares, 9, Fort Myers, 29 May 2016 *Arrest* #4

  • #181
Man, I wish that 🤬🤬🤬 would talk. I think about Diana often, sometimes as I'm falling asleep or even in the middle of the night. I think she is likely deceased, probably killed shortly after she was taken, but it still haunts me, what if she's out there alive, like AH was, or Castro's victims were, prisoners under unspeakable circumstances, what if she was passed off into a child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 ring? I think the likelihood of this is less though than her being deceased, but who really knows.

Gosh I hope she is found. I know we all hope for this. Again, glad JG is in custody, there is a lot to be said for that (unlike, say, Adrienne Salinas' killer(s) for example, roaming free 3 years later after dumping her body in the Arizona desert...), but this is just such a sad ending, that she's out there somewhere with no resolution as to her whereabouts. It's just so sad. That's all I can say. It just sucks, plain and simple. I'm planning a trip to Florida next year and thought about getting some maps together and seriously going out there while I'm there to do some poking around, but the reality is she's probably hidden way beyond my capacities, maybe even her remains consumed by alligators...LE has had teams searching everywhere...again, I think if anyone who could find her it would be TES, but there's so much ground to cover...I think it's likely she's near where his phone pinged, HHJ, but again who knows. This just ticks me off so bad, for lack of a better term, that someone can just do this to a child, it's times like this I wonder what I'm even doing here, for some reason I think I can be of some help in these cases, but really I'm powerless unless I have some lightbulb, but there's nothing, no light bulb...I know it's helpful being a member here because we help spread the word via flyers, articles...gah, just ramblin.

Where is Diana? This is freaking BS.

"JG told Diana's mother that he was in Orlando looking for employment, but his car was located 2 days later in Okeechobee. When Diana's mother was on the NG show last week (Thursday) she said that this initial call to JG was recorded, IMO,
the LE started tracking him immediately. The car will be significant in determining whether DA was with him."

Eta: Nevermind, total brainfart. I came across this article, somewhat O/T, but would highlight challenges for searchers:

Toxic algae bloom blankets Florida beaches, prompts state of emergency
http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/01/us/florida-algae-pollution/index.html

"Gov. Rick Scott,declared a state of emergency midweek in Martin, St. Lucie, Lee and Palm Beach counties because of the toxic algae bloom that originated in Lake Okeechobee and spread to the beaches."

I was thinking that it was Lake Okeechobee that was searched, but going back now I see it was Lake Kissimmee.

I'm just not really feeling the trafficking angle. It's brought up in almost every case I follow on here, but has only turned out to be the case 1 or 2 times.
It's not that I don't think trafficking is rampant or that I am in denial of it, but these people tend to know exactly who to take/who won't be as missed.
I just don't think these guys sneak into children's rooms in their family homes at 3 am to snatch them up, especially in homes of people they know where they had a known bond with the child.
That behavior would get them caught after taking one child, that's not much of a career.

Now, could he have made money sharing the disgusting images he produced? I could believe that.

I agree it is more likely that Diana was killed by this disgusting pervert than trafficked and that she was disposed of somewhere out there in the Florida Wilderness.

On the police dept facebook page, a few days ago, there was a post by the police stating media interfering with cases hurt the case, and it mentioned Diana's and Dr. Siever's cases. Unfortunately my mind is drained and I can't find that facebook page now. Sad if the media is indeed doing that. Getting the story first is not as important as getting a conviction on the guilty!

Thinking of you Diana!!!!
BBM

"Greater Than" posted it here a few days ago as well:

A note from Sheriff Mike Scott:

A disturbing trend has emerged from Waterman Broadcasting (local NBC/ABC). They saw fit to interfere with our investigation in the high profile murder case of Dr. Teresa Sievers, and they were reckless in neglecting to inform us or check first before doing so. Due to their meddling in that intricate case, we almost missed apprehending Jimmy Rodgers, as he was tipped off by a Waterman reporter knocking on doors in Missouri and trying to interview people there in the middle of our undercover surveillance. They whined for months over what they deemed to be a lack of adequate media updates in the active investigation, and my refusal to give them a play-by-play as to our progress in that tragic and complicated matter. We limit comment during these investigations where we have only one chance to get it right, regardless of the mediaÂ’s sense of entitlement to unfettered access.

Interesting. I have seen this in several cases. It's human nature to get frustrated at the silence and to interpret it as no progress. During the search for Mickey Shunick I learned that silence from LE and the family USUALLY means they are close to an arrest

When they are at a dead end, the should and usually ask for the public's help and show a few of their cards via the media

I agree. Bullseye. This would attract way to much attention and would impact their business (gag). Good post!!!

From following the Dr. Sievers case and seeing in the end what a boat load of information that Mike Scott and his department had to track down, put together, and came out with, I am not worried that Dinah's case has been dropped.

It is my feeling that LE is in their investigative mood where every step is hush hush. I think JG had help and I think he planted his phone for it to be retrieved by he or his brother. It's placement was too convenient. Why would he take just several pictures which ended up to be his downfall and cause him to be charged with child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬?

Also in the Dan Markel case in Tallahassee, it went quite for almost two years when all of a sudden LE popped up with arrests and an unbelievable story. So, let's be patient, a story will be forthcoming about Dinah.

<modsnip>

Where all did he work (specific orchards, etc)... wish we knew, Uribe and Rita would know, as well the brother..Who all rescued him that night likely knows something imo, whether they know it or not...who all specifically rescued him that night after the wreck?

  • #192
The wreck maybe could be key here? Bc if she wasn't with JG whenever "help" arrived, she would obviously have to be somewhere where he was before the wreck. Obviously. (Talking to myself).

Eta: unless she was concealed in the trunk.

Or he had help with the cover up.

  • #193
I have a feeling there are family (brother) and friends that were given a poly and failed. I am still thinking JG acted alone but others helped in covering up what happened.

for some reason I can't stop this from running through my head lately;

"After checking different addresses registered to Guerrero, Fox 4 was able to track down his brother, who didn't want to interview. However, he did tell us he believes his brother is being unjustly accused. He claims Guerrero was in Orlando at the time of Diana's disappearance."

do you guys remember this? what are your thoughts on this?

I think phone GPS dont lie and he certainly knows Jorge was out that night if he had to go tow him in the morning!!! I think more people know things than have been charged, yet.

Also--- have we seen an address listed for Jorge? I dont need the whole thing, but a street would be good. I am trying to compare something.

EDIT- I had never seen that video. Thanks!

  • #196
JG clearly knows where she is. Timeline and phone pings show he was with her/ or close to her home that night. LE knows more than we do. I can't possibly determine what happened that night and the conflicting stories make it hard to decipher. I do know that FM and FL LE will have answers as they have had in many other cases. My thoughts are with the family at this point....they have not seen their daughter in over a month.

Hey, mappy people---- this article here:
http://www.fox4now.com/news/4-in-your-corner/man-suspected-of-abduction-has-ties-to-miami-and-mexico

lists his address as this:
2828 NW 46 Avenue in Okeechobee

Does anyone know how close or far that is to where the phone was found? That video is worth watching again. It also shows the area his car was found. And that he had 2 Mexican IDs on him when he was arrested in the past.

(A big thank you to the super sleuther who helped me find that. Oh, the tangled webs we weave!!!)

EDIT- oh, and is it possible to maybe add those things to the map? Thanks!

Per this article the phone was found on Barwood Drive in Orlando.

Here's a map of the distance between Barwood Dr and Okeechobee;

So, if we were to just look at the timeline and geographics/pings, etc specifically from a.) the time she went missing to b.) the wreck, what would that look like?

Eta: I think it's upstream somewhere, but who all specifically responded to the wreck? Tia.
