Who had the motive?

Have a question for someone that has a security system. Are they date and time stamped when they were disabled?

It is a made up term, could be many reasons for that. Look up "medical intuitive" if you want info on this type of healing. And... Don't knock it til you tried it....

To clarify, I've no issue with anyone who sees the benefit behind a medical intuitive, as you say. My point was more so that her title on her website and in stories we've linked here...the title of Intuitologist...isn't a real term. That's all.

This case is perplexing. Certainly would expect to see pleas for anyone with information or tips to call in...or requests for donations to the charities that the doctor was involved with...
We haven't, and I'm not sure what conclusions can be drawn from that alone.
Then again, with the sheriff saying it's more of a targeted scenario (my words, paraphrasing) - well my eyebrows are raised.

My system does. It's a little over a year old. I wonder if she just forgot to arm it. I hate to admit it,but we often forget to arm when we go to sleep.

The motive can run the gamut of money, upset lover, disgruntled staff or patient.

If the murder weapon was a hammer, the perp either brought it or it was at the house and readily available. Not many other possibilities.

This physician required a $225 deposit before first appointment. She asked patients to bring their previous test results and medications in their original containers. And she didn't get around to giving patients a complete physical until sometime in the first year. That wouldn't give me a lot of confidence. In fact, I might not come back.

I think if anyone spends hundreds of dollars with a doctor, purchasing supplements and not seeing results, they might be very angry but not enough to have a motive to kill the doctor. Instead, just quit going.

The motive seems to be very personal.

At some point within first year a complete physical exam is performed, although a cursory basic exam is performed at the first visit.

Add in Missed personal trainer visit on Monday:

"
The doctor was to meet her personal trainer, Jorgen Albrechton, last Monday but did not show up - so he called her and left a voicemail.

"Maybe she had an emergency, this and that, but I had never in my wildest imagination contemplated that she would have been killed," he said, adding that Sievers' death is a terrible loss. "We hope the future will tell us more."

Probably a good number of patients knew the doctor had been out of town before the murder.

How many patients, seriously, would she tell, "BTW, I'm leaving my family there and comming back a day early"?

I don't really know anything about my Dr. after yrs. Don't know if she's married, when she's going on vaca. I don't pry into her personal business and she doesn't make me get on the weight scale:happydance:

I just don't see it escalating to murder, though. We have actually moved because of a nutso neighbor.

Perhaps they had a neighborhood teenager dog sitting, so they did not set the alarm. Sometimes it is easier that way than worrying about the sitter remembering to disarm the alarm before he/she goes in and then setting it again upon leaving.

Or maybe the family just didn't use the alarm often so it wasn't unusual for the Dr.to not set it.

To answer a question up thread, yes, the system tells what time the alarm was turned off or on and also what code was used. Many households have different codes for people using the alarm such as the nanny, the housekeeper, the older children etc.

You make a good point. My dentist took off an entire week and patients were aware because her practice was closed but she didn't provide details about who, where etc.

I think the killer was close enough to know she would be alone.
