"The" suspect, not 'A' suspect.

So was that the false information she gave LE, or something else?

Sorry, I can only read what is in the news articles...no audio.

:(

That was his response to a question about if she was Felecia's godmother.

Still getting caught up but not sure if this was posted yet?

The Pinellas County Medical examiner was scheduled to conduct the autopsy at 10 a.m. Sunday. There were no visible signs of trauma on body, said Clearwater Police Department spokesman Rob Shaw.

"I did trust her," Demerson said of Wiley. "Four and a half hours went by and she never reported, not only to me but to the authorities, that my child was missing. And those are some unexplained answers that I have not yet to understand."

Maybe there was no stop for fast food? It wouldn't be the first time someone was caught in a lie due to their absence on surveillance video.

The most problematic for me, however, is WHY she picked up Felecia in the first place. What was the purpose? Was it for someone else? Did something go wrong or was everything planned?

:(

MOO

BBM: I couldn't agree more on this panther. Most 23 yr. olds I know are out on the town, with their friends and getting into typical mischief. They certainly are not volunteering to spend time with a 9 yr. old. Maybe my life is to normal?

Someone (s) have done mom wrong according to her recent fb posts.

Yes I felt the same way, what she was saying was as if she were the mother. Her story just didn't jive for me and impress conf it sounds like they knw exactly what happened. How could the public not be at risk?? That I don't get at all. A isolated incident??

I actually was thinking the sister raised her as if she were the mother, but the kid knows that the biological mother is the one who was at the salon. This is a confusing and dreadful story.

I think you are spot on in this case, but fwiw, I was a "Big sister" through the YMCA when I was 23. The girl was family of someone I knew, and I began spending time with her unofficially--taking her hiking, biking, to dinner, etc just to get her away from her home life for awhile. After about a year, we signed up through Big Brother/sister (FBA program) so that I could use the experience on my resume. She is now 21 and has a child of her own-we are still in touch. I was 23-she was 8-and the relationship began because I really dug her and felt that as a single 23 year old, I had something to offer her too.

But again, something seems off in this case. I only chimed in a bit OT because I really don't think a 23 year old hanging out with a nine year old is necessarily nefarious. :twocents:

Speaking of her Facebook posts, see the one from May 4th: "IF YOU SEE A RED FLAG..STOP!...
YOUR INTUITION NEVER LIES,,SO DON'T IGNORE YOUR FEELINGS THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG."

Irony!!!

Thanks for sharing this story Hejlena! You are exactly right that not all young adults and their interaction with young children should be viewed as suspicious. You made a conscious decision to join a youth group and God Bless you for doing so, wish more would. But seeing as how sweet little Felecia was found deceased after being in the "care" of this young adult I do not have a good feeling about the relationship. I'm not making accusations towards her but she was obviously neglectful in watching FW.

Not that it matters but Mom on fb 4/24 says she has grown children and grandchildren...

I am terrible with faces but did anyone else think the 'godmother' has a doppelgänger in NC? ( if you search her name on fb and all the people named EW profiles come up).

This is just so tragic. The home and the apartment are not along the water. Someone had to take her to the bay. I drove over the Courtney Campbell on Thursday and the tide was very high. More so than usual. It was partially flooding the boat ramp parking lot. Possibly the tide was as high on Saturday and the person put her there thinking water would cover up, not realizing it was high tide. The hillsborough river runs through temple terrace, but by water it is a long distance from where it feeds into bay to where here body was discovered. Tons of neighborhoods line the bay across from the causeway with many boaters. Just seems like an odd place to find her. So extremely sad.

Is it odd that E.W. was able to post bond so easily? I mean, if LE even had an inkling that she was a suspect in Felicia's death, wouldn't they do everything in their power to hold her?

Poor baby Felecia :(

Anyone find it odd that there are no pictures of her daughter on her Facebook page? I have children, and they are prominently displayed on mine, and all of my friends. I find it incredibly strange...

That's very puzzling to me too - I think I posted it upthread earlier.

Surely, she has committed a worse crime in this whole horror besides making a false statement to the police.

Do LE ever let potential criminals out on lesser bonds so they can follow/track the potential criminals... and, therefore, get more information/evidence?

Just a thought....

I was thinking the same thing. LE has not named EW (or anyone for that matter) a suspect or a poi--but they also have not made a statement clearing her either--I would expect one or the other statements would be made just because the woman's name has been in the media. Kwim? Curious.
