Regardless of the distance it is curious that she did not even check up on the status of her children since there was the possibility they may not have gone to daycare and could be at the house. IMO she just reeks of guilt and that trip was nothing more than to see for herself that the job was done.

When DM contacted her it was 9:02 and he said he was going to the gym and would be out at 10:30 so she knew the kids were at daycare

Wendi received a VM from Dan earlier that day that he was about to start a class at the gym. I think its fair to deduce that would mean she knew the kids were already safely dropped off at daycare. But, yes, it’s certainly possible that the intention of he trip was to verify that the job was done.

Corbitt put up all the phone records at the trials and she was asked about it.
She only decided to call him back at about 11:45 after making numerous calls and texts to a lot of other people.
While she was sitting eating lunch at 2 PM, somehow it didn't occur to her that she hadn’t spoken to him (and didn’t wonder why HE didn’t call her back )especially with the time factor of having to make a decision before that Monday on the sons school, (and he was flying out the next day),AND that there was an issue for pick up for the boys that day. He did say he wanted to meet with her and perhaps walk around the campus and talk to her.

If Isom didn’t get her at 2 PM, what was she going to do?
From the map of where she was and the boys school, she was at least 15 minutes away.
How was she going to let the Q of who was picking the boys up go unanswered?
This makes one very suspicious she was involved. And knew when she called him 2.5 hours later, he wasn’t going to answer her call.

If she knew Dan wanted to discuss the school, wouldn't that have been more important than speaking to Renee B at 10:30, and then calling and texting other friends -and then making lunch plans to meet at 1, without ever discussing the school or pick up for that day?

• And this is not a random woman but the ex-wife of the murdered man

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Luis Rivera, one of two convicted hitmen in the murder of FSU Professor Dan Markel, will soon be released from federal prison.

Bureau of Prisons records show Rivera is currently being held in Marianna FCI and is slated to be released later this month on June 30. Prosecutor Georgia Cappleman says Rivera will be immediately transferred to a state prison.

“He still has a state sentence to serve so he’ll go to a state facility to serve the remainder of that sentence,” Cappleman said. “I think he has seven, seven and a half more years, but of course, he’ll get gain time, so that’s at the discretion of the Department of Corrections.”

Informed of DM's plans or not, I personally would have investigated further after seeing there was a commotion and police presence. I would be worried one of the kids got sick at daycare or whatever, who knows. Guess I just have to make sure what is going on with my kids. JMOO

I think “they” meant how long it takes to do the entire loop from her house down south and back up again. 20 min down 20 up. Give or take a few minutes in either direction,

I had to very begrudgingly admit that Trescott was not much longer than if she took different routes. I was adamant it was a much longer route, but it was pointed out to me by GR or someone else that it wasn't, I double-checked on Google maps again and I think it was longer but only by a few minutes. Plus as JL stated it was a route she often took.

But it's a moot point whether it was normal for her to go that way. She lied and in a murder trial when you're a suspect it's very bad to lie about critical things because it makes you look complicit. Hence the reason people may assert their 5th amendment rights lest they incriminate themselves...

Re WA's lies, I think GC will ramp up the pressure on WA in DA's trial. Many of us were frustrated, feeling that GC let WA off the hook when on the stand. Trapped her in a lie, but did not go in for the kill. A cat toying with a mouse perchance??

There was no benefit to pressing Wendi. She was not on trial, and she had use immunity. Better to let her create loose ends that could be used in her future trial.

I've long maintained WA's huge dilemma will be how she testifies in DA's trial. She was so intertwined with her family at the time of the murder that is not possible she had no idea they were involved. Thus to demonstrate she had no idea of their involvement her only option was to insist on their innocence. If they're innocent, then so is she, but if they were involved, then she knew...

Now her brother has been convicted with overwhelming evidence and the case against her Mum is even stronger. It would be extremely foolhardy for her to attempt to maintain a similar position. Whats left of her credibility would be shot...

In CA's trial, any questions regarding her families culpability were quickly denied. Which was fine. Then. Now things are different. For example if asked if she phoned SY and asked "What if my crazy brother Charlie hired hitmen to kill Dan?" Is she really going to suggest SY made that up and stated it in a deposition, risking her law career and freedom??

Throw your family under the bus at your peril Wendi....
