The beginning of the end for WA with her recent motion filed to deny the defense subpoenaing her.

I've long maintained WA's huge dilemma will be how she testifies in DA's trial. She was so intertwined with her family at the time of the murder that is not possible she had no idea they were involved. Thus to demonstrate she had no idea of their involvement her only option was to insist on their innocence. If they're innocent, then so is she, but if they were involved, then she knew...

Now her brother has been convicted with overwhelming evidence and the case against her Mum is even stronger. It would be extremely foolhardy for her to attempt to maintain a similar position. Whats left of her credibility would be shot...

In CA's trial, any questions regarding her families culpability were quickly denied. Which was fine. Then. Now things are different. For example if asked if she phoned SY and asked "What if my crazy brother Charlie hired hitmen to kill Dan?" Is she really going to suggest SY made that up and stated it in a deposition, risking her law career and freedom??

Throw your family under the bus at your peril Wendi....

Yes, it will be interesting to see how Lauro prepares Wendi for questions about her personal beliefs of her family’s involvement since Charlie’s conviction and Donna's arrest both of which had not occurred since she was last on the hot seat. I am sure those questions will be anticipated.

I think Lauro is smart enough to know that at this stage an outright claim that she doesn’t believe that at least Charlie was involved will be foolish. I predict we will hear something where she doesn’t insist he wasn’t involved rather something like - ‘I’m not sure what to think… I am focused on my life and my boys etc.” After that statement if she is pressed, we will hear ~“under the guidance of my attorney, I am STILL not following the media reports or the details of the case”. If pressed again, she will repeat – “I’m not sure what to think anymore”. If Cappleman continues to press, Wendi will keep repeating the same phrase and the Judge will eventually say 'move on" Essentially ending in a stalemate.

As far as the Sara Yousuf statement, I know you place a lot of stock in that, but I don’t think it will be part of Donna’s trial. If it comes up, Wendi wont deny it. She will be prepared to say ~ “at that moment when I reached out to Sara all sorts of ideas were coming to my mind based on what the media was saying which is why my attorney advise me to stop following the media”.

APEX Thank you for the information. The most mortifying thing for me would be to have "my weight listed as 140 lbs". on a booking photo. ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS, cringing just thinking about it.
(Dieted before my license renewal just in case I had to get on a scale.)
There are a lot of people who have never had this kind of anxiety, but it sounds like it has been
a long standing issue/concern for DA. One of many? She seems to thrive on control, not to make her happy...but to keep her stabilized. The excessive need to control, micromanage and interfere with her children's lives.... beyond teenage years and even into adulthood tells me she has struggled with control issues for decades. I bet she was the one who wanted the court room setting "rearranged." (Hey, she's paying the bill, so I can see JF & JZ going along with her request if it helps her to be less anxious during the trial.) "Domestic coordinator" was just the tip of the iceberg... 90% of the danger was below the surface.
PS, Have always felt she had a "full on panic attack" in the transport van as the loss of the ability to control her surroundings was too much for her.

Nah nothing in it really. Just a formality. The defence cannot offer immunity as they are not the State, they can't compel her to testify and they know if she does testify she will plead the 5th as she did in her deposition.

• Take Charles Adelson’s defense of “reverse double blackmailing” from Latin Kings as given
• Declare that Donna Adelson is an oaf woman who believed blindly at everything Charles Adelson told her
• Therefore, she is innocent because guilt cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt

What to do with the evidences and witnesses?

• File motions endlessly to avoid the presentation of facts and testimonies contrary to her narrative
• She has a number of experts and lawyers in her witness list to express opinions contrary to the State's accusations
• As a result of one of these motions, she succeeded to make the Judge order the exclusion of investigators’ opinions such as from the FBI Special Agent in charge (written in the hearing notes of the Clerk and posted on the docket)
• Take a large number of depositions, at times double depositions from the same witness, to lock out any accusatory statements

This battle shapes to be perilous for both sides but it is hoped that Justice For Dan Markel Will Prevail

Her issues with CA's defence are he said she never came to his house, her cell phone records show she was there which supports money drop theory. Backed up by KM's testimony and their GPS/toll data showing their times and route.

Her conversation with CA 2 years later re drug dealers killing Dan destroys the double extortion narrative. He asks her "what if it was actually dealers that killed Dan because he had a drug debt?"

She should have answered "I thought you were being extorted." Instead she agrees with him that's a great idea, blame drug dealers.

Thus, CA gave 2 hitmen who killed DM $150k and he has no excuse for that. So CA is dead and buried and it will be nigh on impossible for DA to sever her ties with her son. Post bump "it involves the two of u"

Is 140 her current weight or is that according to her license? Before she was taken in she didn’t look like she weighed 140 lbs.

28 lb gain in 22 months. As I state upthread, this has got to be tough for her. It could explain a few of the health issues, above and beyond the normal aches and pains of aging. (Still can't believe people can do such horrible things and not consider the consequences.)

Wendi must be at least 5’9-10 if Donna is 5’6”.

• The Judge has not yet ruled on the motion to suppress Easterwood’s testimony
