12:42 p.m. – WCTV says four people have been taken to Tallahassee Memorial with injuries. "I have not been able to confirm that number just yet," a hospital spokesperson said.

At times when I see this I think, am I really reading this? Is it a dream? What the heck. So very, very sad.

With all the violence and murders, there are supporters of these perps. Why? Even after some of these criminals are convicted.

The taking of ONE life is unforgivable. I don't give a rat's ass what the excuse for killing is, it is wrong, it is evil.

Many of us have experienced unfairness, been a victim, got a rotten deals. Murder is NO excuse. Almost ready to change my mind on the death penalty.

Sending positive energy to LE and those around the crime scene, including family and loved ones experiencing panic and fear right now.

This is so wrong and evil.

This is my alma mater and know several current students. The ones I’ve been able to contact are safe, thank God. There was a lot of confusion about what was actually happening. I won’t post any info from them since obviously I don’t have links and there is still a lot of chaos so getting accurate information from them is difficult.

1:05 p.m. – A Tallahassee police spokesperson confirmed that one person is in custody but could not confirm any deaths. There were, however, "multiple injuries."

A media briefing is scheduled for mid-afternoon.

I'm glad the shooter has been detained. So many times they take their own lives and don't face justice.

The students must have been terrified. I can imagine the fear that US parents must feel sending their kids to school and university, not knowing if one day there will be a shooting.

When the news broke here in the UK it stated four injured, but it appears there has been deaths alongside those injured. So sad and unwarranted.
