There aren't any ruleouts listed on her Namus page https://identifyus.org/en/cases/13611

It now says dentals and fingerprints are available elsewhere and DNA sample is available but not yet submitted.

Detectives connect cold case to Washington county, ask for help
They are hoping someone in the community may recognize the victim from a 1982 murder

Detectives from Florida are in eastern Carolina asking for help in identifying the victim in a 1982 cold case.

The woman was found dead in a canal in River Beach, Florida, but they believe she is from Washington County, NC.

For 38 years it has been a mystery as to who she and who killed her.

They do have a suspect in the county. “There has been a person of interest in the case ever since 1982 but no case was ever made back then,” Chris Cassenari, the lead detective in the case, said.

Cassenari said the suspect was near the area her body was dumped. He had burned his semi-truck only hours before. Witnesses also said they saw him with a woman who looked like Jane Doe.

Initial detectives also found evidence of a long piece of hair inside the semi-truck, but they weren’t able to DNA test it at the time. But now, with modern technology, they are now trying to match the DNA from the piece of hair found to the victim’s hair.
---
The detectives were in the area this past weekend to interview the suspect. Though he denies knowing the victim, Cassenari says he hopes any help from people who can identify the picture of the woman can help.

They say an associate of the suspect from the area may have recognized the woman in a composite photo.

This Jane Doe's NamUs page has some (new?) info about healed fractures, not mentioned previously in this thread or on her Doe Network page.

Other distinctive physical characteristic:
- nasal passage indicative of healing from past fracture or modification
- ribs display healed fractures

Her estimated height and age on NamUs have also changed. She is now listed as 5'3 instead of 5'6-5'8, and 29-40 instead of 21-35.

These might be new discoveries from when they re-exhumed her body in 2016. I'm not sure when the changes to NamUs were made, but Melt71's post from August 2020 still has the old info, so it was probably updated fairly recently. The detail about her well-manicured, painted nails has also been removed - I wonder why??

"Body found near canal," Florida Today [Cocoa, FL], 3 September 1982, 1B.

An autopsy report revealed that the clothed body apparently had been in the canal -- about 12 miles west of Interstate 95 -- for about 18 hours. The report also stated that the brown-haired woman's body -- three-thirds of which was submerged in the canal on the north side of the highway -- may have been there since late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Three divers from the South Indian River County Fire Department were unable to find any belongings in the 8-foot deep canal that could help identify the woman or might be related to her death, said sheriff's spokesman Rick Baker.

A 26-year-old Wisconsin man, Russell Brandenburg, and a 21-year-old Orlando woman, Deborah DeLong -- remained at the canal after their grisly discovery while an Auburndale man telephoned sheriff's detectives.

A truck driver spotted the body Sept. 1 in less than a foot of water in a canal about 17 miles west of Vero Beach.

Deputy Mark Gibbons said the woman had been shot three times in the left side and once in the right side with [a] medium-caliber gun, probably a .38.

[...]

She wore a silver and gold wedding ring and a silver pinkie ring with a turquoise.

The woman had been dead 12 to 24 hours when she was found.

The woman wore a white terrycloth blouse with a gold fringe on the bottom, denim jeans and knee-length hose.

"Her finger nails were long and well-manicured," Gibbons said. "Her toenails and fingernails were both painted red."

Townsend's daughter and brother also attended the news conference. It was their first time meeting each other.

"My mother disappeared just one month after I turned 18 years old. This year, I will be 60," Debra Townsend Dubois, Townsend's daughter, said. "From the day that her body was found, to the day I found out this woman could possibly be my mother, 15,079 days had passed with her on mind, never forgotten."

"We have people or persons of interest that we've identified," he noted during the news conference. "Unfortunately, they are deceased, but that doesn't mean we're going to stop trying to find out what happened to her and how she ended up there."
