Shanna Gardner and her estranged husband, Mario Fernandez, who are accused of plotting to have her ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, killed in 2022, will be back in court Wednesday morning.

Ahead of that, the state said Wednesday that it had provided both defense teams with its complete discovery inventory. Both sides have a meeting planned next week to go over the list once the defense has had time to review it.
Prosecutors also said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office computer forensic unit was able to recover data from some damaged hardware that was seized in a raid. They did not elaborate on what that data included.

I am REALLY curious if more information about Shanna’s tattoos and conversations with another inmate will be public. Jared’s widow posted the court details (Duval Core website) that Shanna was ordered to have her tattoos photographed. It made me remember Shanna had a tattoo artist in Jacksonville who was interviewed and claimed Shanna asked him if she knew anyone (lingo fuzzy, but alluding to a hit man) who could take care of someone for her. I am curious if Shanna added a new tattoo after Jared’s murder and told someone about it. If there was symbology behind it for her. I don’t know what else would be a reason for photographing tattoos. Maybe Henry Tenon or someone else described a woman like Shanna and described a tattoo placing her somewhere as evidence? Brainstorming here obviously. IMO.

I believe they do when they’re booked? But this was from a recent (May) court document requesting photographs of her tattoos based on a conversation with another inmate. I’ll have to look up, when I posed that a minute ago, the Core website wasn’t working for me.

Tenon confessed to being the trigger man in the 2022 Jared Bridegan murder-for-hire case in Jacksonville Beach. He's already pleaded guilty to being the triggerman & is supposed to testify against Saldana & potentially against estranged wife Gardner, the other two charged as the co-conspirators in Gardner's ex-husband's ambush shooting. Assistant State Attorney Christina Stifler also attended the hearing. The judge was concerned that Chipperfield was on the state's witness list. *Status Hearing for both (@ 9am ET) – FL – Jared Galen Bridegan (33), father of 4 ambushed & killed (shot 4 times), his 2-year-old daughter was just feet away in the back seat, Jacksonville Beach, Feb. 16, 2022. – *Shanna Lee Gardner-Fernandez (36/now 38) indicted & arrested (8/17/23 by ATF agents in West Richland, Wash.), charged & arraigned (11/3/23) with 1st degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony & child abuse. DA will seek the DP. Held without bail on Fugitive warrant (in Benton County, WA). Was extradited on 10/20/23 to Florida. Plead not guilty. No bond. Judge denies to set bond (5/24/24). Judge denies bond (9/23/24). Duval County
*Mario Enrique Fernandez Saldana (34/now 37) arrested (in Kissimmee, Orange County, 3/16/23) & charged & indicted (3/16/23) & arraigned (4/4/23) with 1st degree murder with a weapon, conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony & child abuse. In Orange County jail waiting for transfer to Jacksonville in Duval County. Transferred to Duval County on 3/22/23. Held without bond. Plead not guilty. DA will seek the DP. Duval County
Trial was set to begin on 10/20/25 with jury selection was stricken from calendar with no further dates.

5/7/25 Update: The state said Wednesday that it had provided both defense teams with its complete discovery inventory. Both sides have a meeting planned next week to go over the list once the defense has had time to review it. Prosecutors also said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office computer forensic unit was able to recover data from some damaged hardware that was seized in a raid. They did not elaborate on what that data included. Judge London Kite ordered Gardner & Fernandez to return to court at 10:30am on 6/6/25 for another pretrial hearing.
