Those parents have tremendous restraint because after seeing that video--I would have hit her given the chance.

Horrifying. It's like you can't believe you are looking at what you are seeing.

And then watching her cry and apologize in the courtroom made me sick.

Geez what a bioatch. She makes you feel like throwing up. And we know this isn't the place things like this are going on.
I can't tell you the things l would like to do to her.
She should have been given the 15 year max, this isn't the first child she has harmed,, for sure.

I saw this last night on Nancy Grace...I could have killed that woman with my bare hands! OMG! Horrified & furious doesn't begin to describe what I felt.

People like this is why I am so opposed to daycare, nannies and the like for babies and young children. If they can't talk, they need a loving parent or family member to look after em.

That baby so easily could have been killed.

I can only imagine that the mother of this poor baby will have nightmares about this every time she closes her eyes.

It is a miracle this baby wasn't killed.

I just found this link. A LOT of additional information. :(

http://slumz.boxden.com/f5/sep-4-fl-babysitter-given-8-years-abuse-caught-nannycam-1416186/

Jeannine Campbell had been babysitting for the Hammock family, for two and a half years. They installed a Nanny-Cam after the older of their two young children developed a black- eye, that Campbell "couldn't explain". Two weeks later they terminated the sitter, saying they were not happy with the quality of care she provided. The parents notified law enforcement after viewing the video later that evening, March 16th. Campbell was seen slapping, kicking and shaking an 11 month old baby boy, she also smacked him - knocking him over.

Campbell's attorney Malcolm Anthony said his client was under stress due to her husbands job loss, she was going through menopause and may have been had a hormone imbalance. He also claims she has been treated for depression in jail, since her arrest in March.

Also from that link.

Campbell told her mother that the children she babysat were spoiled and lacked discipline. "Were the kids really spoiled?" her mother asked. Campbell replied, "Sort of. I mean, either one of them as babies would cry. They were picked up immediately, picked up kind of thing, you know, and it was, 'Oh, you poor little thing. And you know, it was like, 'Yes, but now your child's whining about the fact that you can't wash dishes. Now you're holding the child while you're washing dishes, you know, or something like that.' To me, I just can't. We're talking 10-15 minutes at the most, you know? It's not going to hurt the kid to cry."

Campbell also said the parents prosecuting her were overreacting to what they saw on video

I just finally watched the video. I am sorry, but I would have beat that woman to death before the police ever set eyes on her. I am so mad I can hardly breathe. I think it is a very good thing for her that the parents didn't see the video until after she was gone. I can't begin to imagine seeing my child treated in such a way. What a total vicious dirtbag.

8 years??? that was the worst thing i have ever watched. She could have killed that child by hitting the baby with a ball.. and all the baby wanted was to play. so innocent didn't even know she was a mean lady.

I had to have a bad babysitter once and as far as i know she just left my son in the playpen all day. I still hate that lady and that i had to leave him there.

But this society doesn't give moms much choices about daycare. It's incredibly expensive to not really know what's going on there. Not everyone is lucky enough to not work, or have family members able to watch their children. I HATE that other people get to see my child more then I do. It's so not fair.

If I was the mom of this poor baby I wouldn't have been able to watch the nannycam. It would have been the worse feeling in the world. And she only got 8 years. It's just so unfair. That baby didn't have any way to defend itself!

GRAPHIC VIDEO:

It was very hard for me to watch this video, as my 8 month old is at the sitters for a week, because my grandmother who watches him is out of town. My eyes couldn't help but tear as a watched this little baby get beat, yanked, and smacked!

That isn't abuse.. well it is. but it's sadism too.. my god he was just sitting there hugging a ball and she attacked him.. it's not like the baby was maybe screaming and she lost it...

I CANNOT comprehend this.....

That poor baby after going through who knows how many months of that has to have brain damage and may even show signs of RAD later on because of what that excuse for a caretaker did..

I am floored by that video. I... I have nothing to say.

Thank heavens for the cam, though - they certainly have enough to prosecute this way. (Otherwise, they might have just dismissed her b/c of suspicions but not had enough for charges, and she would have just gone on to anther family.)

I couldn't watch it all. OMG that poor baby.

I tried to listen to it again to try to get the name and I couldn't do it i had it minimized with just sound playing but the description was too much and I had to shut it off :(

This is absolutely heartbreaking. I want to bawl watching that video. I can't imagine how the parents felt when they watched it :( Thank goodness they caught it early enough, who knows what could have happened to the precious little guy had this continued.

The nanny's actions struck me as childish - as if she were a cranky, immature toddler in an adult body. I think that video shows how psychologically arrested this grown woman is. Very sad and I am so grateful the parents figured it out

I would have absolutely NO problem sending this woman to death row....after I beat her ass into the pavement.
