This case hasn't been solved because:

No crime scene
No evidence
No witnesses

My best guess as to the car being left at HTOG is it seemed a good idea at the time.
What has become of the mysterious DNA that was discovered nearly 20 years after the crime.

It is claimed Jennifer was in her condo at 10pm on the Monday night talking to Rob.
Would she have really gone out that late after a long drive back that morning and then working all day.

Then there was Bo the bloodhound who is said to have tracked a scent back to the broken fence at Mosaic.
That was discounted almost immediately. Why?

There was a party hosted by Jennifer's brother at her condo on the Saturday night she was in St.Croix.
It was claimed an ex boyfriend was there. True or false?

This is a truly frustrating case which includes a video of a POI that is equally frustrating.
One of the detectives stated it’s the closet thing to a vanishing that he’s ever seen. No crime scene, no witnesses, and not much evidence. I do find it interesting that Rich Ring said that economic crimes investigated this case. I wonder what triggered that.

The last call was on her cell phone so she can’t technically be placed at her condo at 9:56 Monday evening. It’s strange to me that they claim she was in her bed talking to him, but they’ve also said her cell phone didn’t work inside her condo and she went on her balcony to use it. They also have said the cell tower closest to her condo was down that night so one would assume the signal would have been worse than usual. I’m not convinced she was inside her condo when she spoke to Rob. They were fighting because Rob didn’t want to come to Orlando the next weekend to visit. They also don’t know or say they don’t know what she ate for dinner Monday evening. Then there is that knock that Drew has went back and forth on. The last time he spoke on it, he claimed there was a knock on her door right after she got home Monday evening. I find that especially interesting since she had been gone several days. It seems like someone was waiting and watching for her to return or maybe she invited someone over that she didn’t want her family and friends to know about.

As far as the dogs go I think it’s because it’s unconclusive. Especially when you read the police report. There was another dog that they thought was tracking the poi. The dog that tracked back to Mosaic was tracking Jennifer’s scent. I’ll attach what the police report says regarding the dog tracks. It’s from this post: FL - Jennifer Kesse, 24, Orlando, 24 Jan 2006 - #13

I’m not sure if there was an actual party, but they did say that the ex visited her condo while Logan and his friends were in town. Logan has commented that it must have been weird for him and her parents claim that he wanted her back. The same ex placed himself across the street at a bar at the mall Monday evening.

Then you have the two co workers that ended up at the Lake Ellenor office Tuesday afternoon. That is very close to HOTG and it wouldn’t surprise me if they drive by her car on their trip. One of those coworkers is the one that her parents claim was harassing her.

The Kesse’s lawyer gave an interview a few months ago. His theory is the killler is a disgruntled suitor that wasn’t getting the feedback from Jennifer he thought he deserved. He didn’t say who he was referring to. There could be others out there the public doesn’t know about.

We don't know how it played out. What if Jennifer had struggled initially when the driver was pulling out, and he uses a gun or knife to subdue her, causing it to swerve. Jennifer might have complied for the rest of the drive, and that's why no one else saw the vehicle driving erratically. This sighting is unconfirmed, but I think it's unwise to dismiss it because it doesn't fit your particular theory.
It’s possible that it played out that way and it was her car, but I think it’s more probable that it wasn’t her car. Especially considering the condition of her car when it was found. I dismiss it because I don’t think it fits the evidence and because there weren’t other reports of it.

Thanks flgrl17 for those attachments.

The tracking dogs are still confusing. How did they track Jennifer's scent if she never walked that route. Dogs have a minimum of ten thousand times the sense of smell than that of us humans and it can go a lot higher than that.
Surely the dogs tracked the POI. Was the POI returning to his place of work? But then nobody is reporting seeing him, busy road and all.
Those dogs could have gone anywhere but they went to Mosaic.

I presume Jennifer's purse, cell phone, keys and ipod are still missing.

Jennifer had a landline too. I don't want to be a 'doubting Thomas' but I'd like to see some documentation on which phone she used to talk to Rob on the Monday night. Also where did her cell phone last ping from?

There are many opinions by various people about the perpetrator. For mine there are two choices. An ex or a worker from Mosaic. I lean toward 'worker' simply because stranger abductions are the most difficult to solve.

I'm sure we all hope to wake one day to see 'arrest in Jennifer Kesse' case.

It's possible Jennifer's car was moved just to cause confusion. If that's the case it worked big time.

According to calculations the car never travelled far. So just where is Jennifer?

The police report states that “Deputy Brown stated that just because his dog tracked to Jennifer’s condo doesn’t mean that she walked back there, it just means the dog picked up her scent and tracked it back to her condo.” I think the deputy thought that the dog could find Jennifer’s condo without the route being walked since it was so close to HOTG. It was only a mile. Drew told Greta Van Sustren in Feb 2006 that “I don't think they've decided what scent really was, to be honest with you, Greta. And you know, as it goes on, that scent has become distant, actually. I don't know if it held much in any fact, to be quite honest with you.”

The purse is kind of weird. They actually found the purse years ago that is still shown on the family’s website. It was in her luggage. They don’t have a description of the purse that is missing. Since they don’t have a description then I don’t think it can be said for certain that a purse is actually missing. There are two missing cell phones, Travis’s Nextel and Jennifer’s Verizon, iPod, keys, and her drivers license.

There have been conflicting reports on which phone she made the call to Rob on. The police reports says it was on her cell phone so that answers the question with 100% certainty.

That settles the phone issue.

The tracking dogs are still problematical. To my thinking anyway.

I tend to think if she was carrying two cell phones, Ipod, keys and drivers licence it would be convenient to carry them in something. Was she wearing garments with pockets? Early on it was thought she had both pepper spray and a whistle for personal security. Add those to the above for transporting.

Although we don't know for certain it appears she wasn't able to use either. These abductions don't happen in slow motion. They are fast and brutal.

The pepper spray was found on her kitchen counter. They said she had removed it from its case before traveling, and she didn’t put it back yet. It’s also an unknown where the iPod was. She could have left that in her car. What’s interesting to me is there is no mention of missing credit or bank cards.

I think it's unwise to dismiss that there weren't multiple abductors.

That’s interesting re the Jesse’s lawyer , any link to the interview?

If the perpetrator was an ex or someone known to Jennifer who was the individual who dropped the car at HTOG?

Untold numbers of people have studied the video of the POI and nobody has a clue as to who it is.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the poi’s own mother didn’t recognize them. It’s such bad footage and they’re not sure of things like gender, height, or hair vs hat. It doesn’t surprise me that if they know this person that they may not recognize them. My security cameras are much better than the ones at HOTG and I’ve not recognized people I know before on them. Especially if they’re far away.

Perhaps the POI is a painter or works in the food industry? He must have an identity. One thing for sure; he's elusive.

It would be fascinating to be able to look through the bulging police files from this investigation. ALL the files. Theres a lot of them.

The fact that her car was used it tells me that she was either taken getting into or out of her car, or the person that took her had no transportation. It would have been much safer for the person that took her to use their own vehicle. The police would not have known who it was. Now years later we are trying to look at footage from the person who put the car there.
Or they had to move it because it would indicate she never fully left her condo. That would have put all the attention on that building/area.

Everything points to a morning abduction. I’d be shocked if the person(s) didn’t live or work at this condo complex.

What exactly do you think points to a morning abduction? I can not find anything that proves she was taken Tuesday morning. What’s interesting to me is that they said she picked her clothing for the next day the evening prior. They found some clothing in her bed like she had been trying on outfits. Would those outfits still be there if she had slept in the bed? I doubt it. I also don’t think the water in the corners around the bottles proves anything. Water can be trapped there for at least 24 hours. I’ve done multiples tests in Orlando in a similar size bathroom on like weather days. The ex roommate told the unconcluded hosts that she often left the briefcase in her car so because of that I don’t think we can draw conclusions regarding the timeline from it being missing. I think she was taken close to when her phone stopped pinging. Apparently at some point Monday evening it was pinging all over the place. Drew has also said recently that the phones were destroyed. They weren’t just powered off. If there are no pings after 10:40 then I think she was with her killer then. Drew has made the statement that the phones died sometime between 10:20 pm and 10:40 pm Monday evening so I doubt there are pings after 10:40 pm Monday. The police have said she went off the grid after she hung up with Rob at 10 pm Monday evening. I believe Jennifer was with her killer when those phones sent their last ping and went silent.

The presence of a damp towel on the floor, pajamas on the floor, along with clothes laid out for work, makeup on the counter, and her unmade bed, suggested that Jennifer had followed her morning routine. The towel is more substantial than the water in the shower. I would know for certain if someone showered approx 15 hours ago vs 7 hours.

I disagree about the towel because there is no way to know how wet it was when Jennifer laid it over her washer or dryer. The fact she felt the need to lay it out like that tells me it may have been very wet. She could have used to to mop up water. She had a shower curtain instead of a door. I am bad to get a lot of water on the floor if I shower with only a curtain instead of a shower door. The towel could have been sopping wet for all we know.

She also didn’t have pajamas on the floor. There was a t shirt.

The bed was not unmade. It was sloppily made. Beds mess up a little when you sit on them if they’re already made. There wasn’t anywhere to sit in Jennifer’s bedroom besides the desk chair which didn’t look very comfy. I think she would choose her bed over that chair unless she was doing work. What if she just sat on the bed to mess it up a little? It’s very possible. Every time my teenage son sits on his bed it looks sloppily made.

She also picked her outfit the night before. Why would the clothes still be on the bed if she slept in it? Rob said she picked her outfit at night so if she didn’t deviate from her normal routine those clothes would have been piled on the bed at night before she went to bed.

I don’t believe they have said where and how Jennifer stored her makeup. Maybe she left it sitting on the counter all the time? I think she did shower at some point and she dried her hair. I don’t think we have enough evidence to say when that was. She may have set her makeup out to get it ready to apply the next morning. Just because it’s sitting there doesn’t mean she put it on yet.

So Jen’s parents are giving out wrong information? Her mom said the bed was unmade, this was spoken in an interview. The clothes she wore to bed (aka pajamas).

The clothes were on the bed because she was picking out/trying on outfits after her shower like the vast majority of women do daily.

The iPhone, cell phones, work shoes, all missing. Someone took her at night and she had all that with her? Makes no sense. Meeting up with someone randomly late at night after a long vacation, and not like her? Doesn’t seem logical.

Neither does dropping the car off the next day at noon and walking back to the Mosaic. All the signs in this case point to obvious suspects.

I’ve only heard her refer to it as sloppily made, and I’ve personally seen beds appear sloppily made if someone just sits on it.

There was a T-shirt on the bathroom floor. She may have worn that as pajamas. She may have came home, changed out of her work clothes into a t shirt Monday evening, and then later on that evening got into the shower. I put a T-shirt in when I get out of the shower. It’s too hot for me to stay in my bathrobe. She could have done something like that. It’s really hard to say when she had on the T-shirt because different scenarios can occur and we don’t have video of Jennifer inside her condo.

I guess you mean iPod. It’s reasonable to think she may have kept the iPod in her car. No one can say for certain. I think she would have taken her cell phone Monday evening if she left her condo. Maybe she had already put Travis’s cell phone in her purse to carry with her the next day to work. They have said Jennifer would put on flip flops to walk long distances like in and out of her condo. Over the years people have thought that the missing pumps may have been in her briefcase. That’s been a theory for as long as I can remember and it makes sense to me. Heels are hard and dangerous to walk and drive in.

The car was dropped off right after the Kesse’s started calling around looking for her so I find that interesting. Maybe that is what triggered it to be dumped during broad daylight. It’s also not proven where the poi went so we don’t know that they walked back to the Mosaic.

You are basing the whole case off of the cell phone pings which have never been proven to be true that I’ve seen. Many cases during this timeframe if a cell phone doesn’t have great reception will bounce around towers…I don’t see that as a likely scenario she willingly went out at night and had all her things with her. (Yes, iPod is what I meant). Now if they can factually prove both phones were “destroyed” that night, then I’d listen.

Why would do you think it mattered if her parents called the Mosaic to see if she was there if her killer(s) had no connection? —dumping the car. I’m not sure that made the difference anyways but I also believe the handler of the dog who stated he is positive the person who dumped the car walked back to the Mosaic. The dog walked right back to her building without neither ever being there before, and no I don’t think he followed Jen’s scent at her residence from days prior — not plausible from other handlers input.
