FloridaSun.......I love your statement I posted above.
It is so true. If you hear of any help needed in finding
Jennifer......please PM me.
Not one person should be missing in America.
They should not be faceless, nameless, or insignificant........
I always question whether the toll collector was spoken with
throughly by the LE. I remembered what he said, but......was
it followed up.

I think LaMer, since we see Jon Benet's 'person of interest' is in custody. We can finally have some faith that maybe there was some DNA on file from the car of Jennifer.....that in time could be matched to someone. That a crime is solved after 10 years is something we can all think about, when answers don't come ,and time gets long.
Someone said today......luck......ties into finding answers. I hope that can work for Jennifers case. Either you have to hope the LE has some great lab of information. Or that.....the luck of getting a tipster to speak up will occur. Today I wish I had some magic answers for Jen........
We have to pray something good will come your way.......
I look at my metal Faith and Hope signs each day, hoping they will be our lucky charms for answers.......Jennifer deserves having answers.

Your right Sundayrain, we need something, and it would be great if LE did have a lead on the perp's DNA or the poi. One never knows, and if there was DNA found, it might not have a match in the data bank right now, but there is always hope, someday there will be. The Kesses need to know something! It's so dang frustrating. It would be also be conforting to know if something had been detected, but as of now, we have heard nothing about anything being found. It is getting colder every day, SAD. We do have to keep praying tho :)

There is rumors of a partial palm print which is very possible. My question is did they dust for prints on the fence at Mosaic where the tracking dog went through or for that matter anywhere at Mosaic including the hand rail on the stairs going to and from JK condo ?

Jenn is on my mind too........I would be reading that news in Orlando also. So this information is new then? Or I should say new to this site.
I am betting LaMer would be happy to hear of some new tips too.
Prayers for Jenn.......Hoping answers come soon........

I haven't heard anything new. And the pic of her they had on the news site I read is actually gone.

My son, who lives in Orlando, said most people believe it is a drug related incident. Granted he doesn't follow any crime boards at all. He doesn't believe she was involved with drugs but whoever did this is. Whether it was a kidnap for ransom that went wrong or just another pervert.

He is moving to Sarasota at the end of the month so his knowledge locally will be limited. But his thoughts on this case ring. I always thought a maintenance man. I never considered a drug aspect.

Sorry, I thought the palm print(above) was some new information that came out.
So wishing for more information to crop up......Prayers for JENN.

I missed this article, sad news to hear. Maybe this was the reason for the review of Jenn's case.

Read the entire article, as I took out some sections.

Orlando's Two Most Senior Homicide Detectives Retiring

POSTED: 5:45 pm EDT August 4, 2006
UPDATED: 6:35 pm EDT August 4, 2006

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Channel 9 has learned the Orlando Police Department is losing its two most senior homicide detectives right in the middle of what could become the city's deadliest year.

The pair are the also the lead detectives in the Jennifer Kesse case, but they'll retire at the end of August after 25 years with the department.

The homicide unit only has eight detectives, so losing two of them at one time will definitely hurt.

But Browning and Gause also have two of the highest clearance rates. There are only about 15 unsolved between them in 27 years in homicide. They can name every victim.

"I think homicide needs more detectives. I think need more emphasis on cold cases. It's hard to be working cold cases when you got more and more cases coming in," Browning said.

They'd love to solve them all, especially the search for Jennifer Kesse. They have to hand the case over to other detectives, but "Glemmett" will be there when she is found.

"Really and truly, the detectives replacing us, they're top notch and they're not gonna miss a beat," Gause said.

The two also said they would each sign on as reserve officers with the homicide unit to help out with some of the cold cases.

Orlando has a total of 35 murders so far this year. That's just one short of the most murders ever in the city in one year. Back in 1982 there were 36 murders.

I'll bet that the Kesses are just sick about this. The lead detectives on a case become like family because you have so much contact with them. You are used to talking to them and making the transition to another detective or two is really awkward...especially in the middle of a case. About 6 years into my daughter's case our lead detective got advanced and was out of the detectives unit and a supervisor in patrol. It broke my heart to lose him. I wasn't comfortable with the detective who took his place and I didn't feel that he cared as much or put as much into the case. I think the bottom line was "he just wasn't Mark." So, I just kept in contact with Mark and he kept in contact with the detectives who had our case and we worked it out that way. The Kesses won't be able to do that though because the detectives are retiring. I know everyone has a right to retire after working that many years but why couldn't it have been after Jennifer is found. Hugs and prayers for Jennifer's parents. I hope they do get two good guys to take the case over. Who knows, maybe some new eyes on the case will be a good thing...hope so anyway.

LaMer and BobbisAngel......I think we can keep our hopes up. You know how sometimes a "fresh" look with "new" people can recharge things.
Even though these detectives sound wonderful, and committed........
Maybe new ideas, and new ways to go about sleuthing, will be an asset.
No one can put Jennifer on a back shelf somewhere.......she is too important to this world. Lets keep praying for answers.......and lets
be strong with our hearts that she will come home.
Chins up now......

Somehow, Someway.....Jenn will be found.

I do not post here very often but I do read the threads. I too, would like to see a happy ending as this is a very sad case. What a beautiful girl Jennifer is and full of life. No-one deserves the sadness that her family is feeling.
What has happened to jen"s apartment are her Mum And Dad still there?

I think they still live in Jennifer's condo. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Jennifer and all who love her.

Also, I would not doubt that the retired detectives are still working on the case privately because it sounds like they are excellent detectives.

Yes, I agree. it would be very hard to just'walk' away from a case like this.I am sure those guys have grown to be friendly with the Kesse family.I must say the Kesse parents are very lovely people( from what i see on telly). How would they be financing living in Florida? Financially it must be an incredible burden on them.

  • #359
I believe they are still working and commuting back and forth. I believe it is approx. 1.5 hrs between Bradenton and Orlando.

  • #360
I think if they all can work together.....it would be wonderful!
Whatever it takes, to come up with some information. It is so mindboggling that nothing seems to be coming to light on her.
I don't know how her parents can take the stress of her being
missing for so long..........very sad.
