I agree with you- if there were only cameras at Mosaic that day, we would have some more answers. Unfortunately, cameras weren't installed until after Jenn went missing.

there are some similarities but the difference in camera quality is ridiculous. they got a great shot of the suspect walking outta the store in color and were able to blow it up around his face so it was even more clear. They also have his car model clearly shown.

The JK suspect photo is absolutely horrible, just about useless. Think about how long we all have been scrutinizing that stupid thing and we don't even know the person's gender! OR their height! I don't believe that anybody would necessarily be able to identify that person even if they do know them.

The newer video showing him parking the car doesn't do much other than confirm what we all knew, the POI is the suspect and wasn't just walking around and the cops are just looking to talk, of course that was the one who dropped off JK's car there. The police should've just released the video right away but it likely wouldn't have made any difference. You can't see anything other than the suspect parking the car. At the very least, we know that JK was abducted and not the last to drive her car.

I bet the answer to his mystery has already been answered a million times after all these messages by us. We probably have it pinpointed on what happened, we just obviously don't know who the monster is or what he did with JK's body. We're too handicapped, we don't have the answers for crucial questions such as where exactly did the dog follow the scent to? Her condo front door? The stairwell to her condo? The woods? All of those have been reported. And when was the last moment her cell phone was sending out pings and where? Many more questions that can be answered that we don't have access to. If we all went to Orlando and got the case file, it would probably be solved in a week.

there is no doubt in my mind regarding your statement.

I think OPD should ask the Kansas guys to come down to Orlando and solve their case for them.

Funny how Kansas police released the video information to the public within 3 days of the young woman going missing. If we had this kind of turn-a-around, I'm sure this case would be much further along. IT took 2 weeks in the JK case, and we still didn't know for certain the POI had driven JK's car. Too ambiguious.

Sure, the case in Kansas was easier to solve, given the better photo, picure of the truck, and cellphone evidence.

But, I still think the JK case was lost in the first 48 when her case was not ramped up like it should have been.

Now, where do we go.

Well, I'm thinking that Kansas has this guy either in custody, or he is being tracked. There is no way he is going to escape a nationwide manhunt.

Once DNA from the young woman is compared to the dirtbags, he is toast.

Of course, Florida investigators need to investigate if this guy could have been in florida on 1/ 24/06. I think it is probably not him, but, we definitely need to take a look at him, a long look. The MO's are frightening.

Scary thing is the POI in Kansas looks so "regular". No long hair, no tattoos everywhere, "no sign that i'm a dirtbag anywhere".

today's case also helped in the area of cellphones

Last summer, other's argued that cellphone's are tracked, even when a call is not coming in or out. I argued that I didn't think that was true, and that only incoming and outgoing calls are saved in the cellphone company databases for billing information. Of course, it was a stalemate. Maybe, florida is different than Kansas, but, it is safe to say that Jk probably didn't receive a call after 10pm on her cellphone, and then the next call didn't come until either Rob's call, or the call which lists the end of the timeline given by LE.

Otherwise, had LE known the exact time that JK's phone was turned off, we would probably have an exact time that the crime was being committed. Instead, we have this large window of 10pm - 8am.

Let's hope this case brings some interest and answers to Jk's case. And let's hope this animal in Kansas is not related to Jk's abduction.

However, I think we should use this template as a "working model" of what may have happened to JK. One theory. Given the "mud" on her front left quarter panel, one does wonder if the pOI visited a nearby forest or lake.

Too bad that the geologist or crime lab can't compare the dirt on Jk's car with various spots in the area. I guess that only happens on tv.

It makes this case even more sad to me. To know the KS LE did everything so right and solved it in short order, and the OPD just have not taken the same tone with this one. Keeping the evidence hidden and not including the public was their stupidity. This case could have probably been solved in a couple of weeks...had they done things right to begin with. It is so frustrating!

I hope so, too. If you will look back on the thread for Kelsey, there is a pic of him on his myspace page that shows him with a full head of hair. Looks just like the video at Target in that one. So I do think it is his hair and not a cap. He must have just shaved that area or something recently. Maybe they caught him midshave! Oh, I see that you have it. Nevermind! lol

LE may be sitting on her cell phone information, too. Like they have done repeatedly with so much stuff in this case. I don't for the life of me understand why they don't just put the information out there and let the public help solve this. They have nothing to lose by doing it.

Being that the dog tracked back to the entrance of JK's door has me wondering why the dog did this. Of course it was following JK's scent, but the perp could have possibly have abducted her as she came out of her condo. I also wonder how intensely they questioned her brother, and his friends. Perhaps her brother had friends in while he was there, or had a party, and one of the people who were in the condo while he was there may have abducted JK.

A few differences between Kelsey and Jenn's case:

- Kelsey caught on camera leaving target around 7pm and expected home by 7:30pm. She last talked to her mom at 6:57.

- Kelsey's dad is a 16 year veteran of the LE there in Overland Park... definitely helps move the case along IMO

- Initially in JK case, didn't take it that seriously because her car was missing and maybe she "just needed to get away" aka "Runaway Bride" rather then an abduction. In Kelsey's case, they found her car across the street at the Macy's within a little over 2 hours, whereas Jenn's car wasn't found until two days later.

- Surviellance was much better for sure- granted- Target uses this mainly to catch shoplifters, etc. but thankfully it also helps catches these scumbags that kidnap and kill young women. HOTG is probably using these for insurance purposes for the pool area and not really to catch what's going on in their complex IMO.

- LE didn't take the case seriously until after JK's car was found, which sadly was after the 48 hour mark. One thing that I have learned is that every city and county has different reporting requirements for Missing Persons... for some, it can be up to 72 hours or more before you can report a missing person, and it has to be immediate family. That for sure is disheartening to all the people who don't live at home or live with roommates or what not. There should be a streamlined reporting process, and a determination of whether a missing person is high risk or not (i.e. JK, Kelsey Smith, etc.)

Yes, we can credit Overland Park, KS LE for doing a great job locating Kelsey and the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 who allegedly abducted and killed her so quickly.

IMO, It does give hope to Jenn and her family and friends that she is being held against her will somewhere. Otherwise, wouldn't she have been found by now? Look at that 15 year old who was found alive in CT yesterday almost a year later.

Expect Miracles... I sure am.

Are we sure this is the right guy?

No, that isn't the right guy. I have his myspace but are we allowed to post it? I mean he has been arrested so it's not like defamation of character or anything.

  • #453
Okay, no one asked but if you do a search on myspace for Aletha Hall (this is his wife) and then click on "Jack" her first friend, this is the guy that was arrested for the murder of Kelsey Smith. I would post a link but apparently I'm not bright enough to do that.

Thanks for clearing that up Liz.

I think there was a lot of confusion when Hall was first arrested.

like leftcoast said why don't they offer a reward for information leading to the suspect or information leading to JK's body or ANYTHING legit related to her disappearance that will lead to some answers. unfortunately everybody knows the chances of her being found alive are a million to one. nothing wrong with adding a big dollar amount for important information as well as the $1 million for her safe return. it's not like they have to take away the $1 million safe return.

  • #459
There is a reward for information leading to the suspect- $10,000 and a reward for any information leading to Jenn Kesse- $15,000. The $1 Million Reward is for her safe return.

Looking at the various pictures that we do have in Jenn's case, does any one notice the hump in his/her back?
