A few differences between Kelsey and Jenn's case:
- Kelsey caught on camera leaving target around 7pm and expected home by 7:30pm. She last talked to her mom at 6:57.
- Kelsey's dad is a 16 year veteran of the LE there in Overland Park... definitely helps move the case along IMO
- Initially in JK case, didn't take it that seriously because her car was missing and maybe she "just needed to get away" aka "Runaway Bride" rather then an abduction. In Kelsey's case, they found her car across the street at the Macy's within a little over 2 hours, whereas Jenn's car wasn't found until two days later.
- Surviellance was much better for sure- granted- Target uses this mainly to catch shoplifters, etc. but thankfully it also helps catches these scumbags that kidnap and kill young women. HOTG is probably using these for insurance purposes for the pool area and not really to catch what's going on in their complex IMO.
- LE didn't take the case seriously until after JK's car was found, which sadly was after the 48 hour mark. One thing that I have learned is that every city and county has different reporting requirements for Missing Persons... for some, it can be up to 72 hours or more before you can report a missing person, and it has to be immediate family. That for sure is disheartening to all the people who don't live at home or live with roommates or what not. There should be a streamlined reporting process, and a determination of whether a missing person is high risk or not (i.e. JK, Kelsey Smith, etc.)
Yes, we can credit Overland Park, KS LE for doing a great job locating Kelsey and the

who allegedly abducted and killed her so quickly.
IMO, It does give hope to Jenn and her family and friends that she is being held against her will somewhere. Otherwise, wouldn't she have been found by now? Look at that 15 year old who was found alive in CT yesterday almost a year later.
Expect Miracles... I sure am.
