Okay.... assume that what I read on the apartment review site was at all true and there were robberies by people with keys.

Jen has been gone... and young guys were staying there. The guys are gone Sunday pm (?? not sure on that) but Jen stays at her boyfriend's so the workers/robbery ring is thinking that apt is empty and the only other one on the floor. Since some guys were staying there while she was gone.. maybe hitting her apartment wouldn't draw attention to their robbery ring. Could be explained that one of them did it. OR maybe they want to hit the apartment of the neighbor who is away.

Let's suppose that Jen is taking the DVD player to get fixed/cleaned whatever. She brings it out to the car (can't manage that her briefcase, purse & the cell phone to mail). She comes back and gets her stuff... heads out of her apt ... locks the door and is grabbed OR sees something she shouldn't... They already thought she was gone.

Jen is taken into one of the apartments that's empty (They have keys) murdered and then her body is brought out via construction materials.

When I lived in an apt building, they always replaced carpets. Her body is rolled up with everything she's carrying and brought out back ...

One of the men is told to take her car and get rid of it. He returns and meets them out back near the woods... where the truck is waiting with Jen's body.

I do think UCF is correct that am abduction or worker cannot be excluded, but that's the point, there is an ABSENCE of evidence providing a definate scenario. You have the bf worried y 9 am, the family is called shortly thereafter, full panic mode by 11 am.

I have been to this condo. Even if there is one person in it, in contrast to 1/2 full, her condo and hallway, external exits, do NOT have a blindspot. I have been researching the stats and probability of this crime happening as it is "perceived" right now, with very slim results. Agreed is possible of course, and am open, but something does not fit. At the risk of sounding obvious, if it did, she would have been found. If it is the worker, and it was the am, that strictly limits the logistics of where she could be, no?

I don't know stats, but I've read articles about women being abducted both at night and in the AM/day - either forced into their own car and forced to drive somewhere, or into the abductor's vehicle (from their apt complex parking lot, mall, etc.). Sometimes it's one man and sometimes several. Sometimes a knife or gun is used to threaten...

I think it happened fast. I tend to think she was taken off the property to another location (but also think she may have been taken into an apt and she and her car moved at some point).

Construction workers usually start work about 7-8AM. Sunrise that day was at 7:17AM. Jennifer usually left for work between 7:30-8:15AM. Not many people around her building that morning (or cars in the lot). Workers there would probably know about the lack of security cameras and security at the complex.

The suspect who parked her car in the complex and walked away at noon was certainly pretty bold. If they indeed walked back along Americana Blvd with plenty of cars going by - again, pretty bold. If they didn't get lucky with that tape they wouldn't even know about that person.

I watched this case on 48 hrs a few months ago but have followed it for sometime and I don't remember there being any unknown DNA found in the car???

  • #164
I think the DNA info was held back for a bit -

I first read it in a transcript on a show called "Missing Pieces" where the Kesse's disclosed it.

If you check out the youtube links to the latest coverage of the case (I think it was on CNN Dec 24th and 31st) and I believe it's mentioned again.

Sunrise was 7:17 and if Jen was going to drop off the cell phone at Fedex she may have been leaving just bit prior to that...

I hope all ex-boyfriends were seriously checked out.

And as mentioned here earlier all those who spent time at Jennifer's condo while she was away should have solid alibis. That includes any casual visitors that weekend.

Was the vehicle the abductor/s used to get to Mosaic parked right alongside Jennifer's car that morning? Perhaps the tracking dog has the answer to that one.

Good point, thanks.

What do you make of the dogs hitting in the woods behind Jennifer's condo?

  • #169
I'd like to know what the woods are like... could there have been a truck there?

I really pray that this woman is alive, but I truly believe she died when she disappeared.

I don't think carrying her out in a carpet would have seemed suspicious, if they were renovating units.... Could they have brought her out to the woods and had a truck waiting there?

If the keys weren't found in the car... he had them when he returned. If he wanted the car stolen.. why not wipe them clean and leave the car with the keys in it.

But, if he worked there... he wouldn't need her keys to get into her condo.

OR, he wanted to dispose of everything all at once.

Below is what I found from articles re the bloodhoung. Is there more specific, more accurate info known about the path of the dog? Also, can you look at attached close up of the Mosaic complex and tell me which bldg was Jennifer's and which woods are being referred to? I'm trying to mark the path the dog took. Thanks.

  • An Orange County sheriff’s bloodhound (named Bo) followed a scent from the car back more than a mile to Jennifer’s condo complex.
  • The trail bypassed the complex's only entrance and led to a stretch of fence separating the public sidewalk from its private grounds. Once the 6-year-old bloodhound entered the grounds, the dog picked up the scent inside the fence and went directly to a staircase leading to Kesse's second-floor condominium (ref St. Petersburg Times, Tampabay.com, Jan 27, 2006).
  • Note: One report said the scent led to the front door of Jennifer’s condo and another report said it led to Jennifer’s parking spot.

That's a good question - why not just leave the keys in the car?

Can you tell me if the car was found locked or unlocked?

Maybe he didn't want to call attention to the car or have it robbed. Maybe he just wanted to park close enough to walk back to Mosaic. The keys could have been tossed anywhere after he left the car.

It depends on who's scent they were tracking. If the POI and a worker there, maybe nothing. Need more info, and I am guessing the original investigators did not think so either as it never yielded any search warrants based on the tracking that I am aware of, sadly.

Sunrise was 7:17 and if Jen was going to drop off the cell phone at Fedex she may have been leaving just bit prior to that...

This is again one of the things that bothers me, in some of Rob's statements
he said they texted or called when they got up, I read another one that said on her way to work she would call him. He never heard from her that morning, not when she "got up", or other. Means what happened occurred in the apartment, or on her way to her car, or she DID go out the night before.

She spoke to Logan on the eve of the 23rd re: the phone, and had already Fed Ex labels on her counter. Package never recovered. Wouldnt she be able to send it from her office? I really need to unerstand who had master keys here. I also have a feeling they are not releasing something that may be missing from the apt, possibly because there was a party there over the weekend and cant directly associate it with her disappearance.

The scenario that someone working there harmed her, God Forbid, stashed her in a different apartment, and removed her later I think supports that it happened the evening of the 23rd/early am of the 24th. The place was crawling with family, cops, managers by 11am.

Do we have the names of the Property Managers of this Condo?

My b/f and I text in the morning or afternoon daily... but it's usually between 7:30 AM & 9:00 AM.. If he had an early morning meeting and she was focused on getting a package dropped of... plus REALLY tired... I find it plausible that he realized after his meeting.. hmmmm no message from Jen yet...

Workers still had keys I believe (according to previous threads and early interviews) because they were still doing work on her "punch list" and therefore she hadn't changed the locks yet.

Her car was moved less than an hour after her parents called asking for a "wellness" check after they were contacted about her no show at work.

The timing of moving the car makes me think that an employee heard about the "wellness check" and wanted to get the car away to divert attention from the complex. Not having much time.. he took it to a short distance away and then returned on foot.

UFC, thanks for posting the link to the interview with the Kesse's. They are such inspirational, dignified people, I would love to bring Jennifer home for them.

In terms of where to 'look' for Jennifer, it strikes me that if Jenn is deceased it is not likely her body has been found and is lying unidentified in a morgue in Florida, or even the rest of the US - she is too well known for this.

It may be the migrant worker connection but, and I realise this is a long shot, I wondered if after Jenn was abducted she was transferred to another person and taken into Mexico or another part of South America as part of a sex slave ring. She was very attractive, and blonde which I understand may be a in demand feature and there is usually a sexual motive to these tyoes of abductions. So...with this in mind I have been looking at photos of unidentified remains in Mexico, and a few from other parts of SA. It's been a horrible task and I don't know if I can bring myself to look at any more to be honest. The other avenue I thought which might be worth exploring is 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites (sorry!) from these reigons. I hold no judgements against those who view 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (apart from child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 etc) but it is not for me and as such I don't actually know where to start looking. I'm thinking the sort of sites that would be of interest here are those which are not easily found.

What do you guys think of exploring these avenues?

I know the stats say Jennifer is likely to be deceased but most people thought that about Elizabeth Smart too and she came home so I think it's worth looking at.

Drive, I do not know the names of the property managers - I had done some searching but couldn't find.

Regarding when family, managers, cops showed up. I found an interview on CNN where Joyce says Jennifer's work contacted her about 11:15AM. After that is when the Kesse's made the 2 hour drive to Jennifer's. During the drive is when they called Jennifer's condo management and mgmt went over. And in one interview her brother said they arrived about 3PM. Not sure what time the cops actually arrived.

I've been updating the timeline document as I get more info. I'll post what I have as a timeline for Jan 24th - I'd like to get input.

I know the topic of human trafficking is controversial, but I do believe it happens more than we're aware.

However, I don't think a human trafficking ring would have dumped the car that close to the point of abduction.

Not to apply my own personal experiences to this case... but I was the victim of a stalker and it was completely random. That was the worst thing, in a way, because nothing I did could have prevented it from occurring.

I know in cases such as these it's most likely there was a personal link to Jen... but maybe being random made it so hard to trace.

Regardless, I pray to God that 2008 was the last year that the Kesses won't have answers. This is beyond incomprehensible to me what they must be dealing with.

When looking at the aerial photo of Mosaic, Jennifer's condo was in the 2nd building from the left. She lived on the 2nd floor. Her parking spot was in front of her building and marked with her condo number.

My understanding has been that the dog stopped at Jennifer's parking spot.
