Okay.... assume that what I read on the apartment review site was at all true and there were robberies by people with keys.
Jen has been gone... and young guys were staying there. The guys are gone Sunday pm (?? not sure on that) but Jen stays at her boyfriend's so the workers/robbery ring is thinking that apt is empty and the only other one on the floor. Since some guys were staying there while she was gone.. maybe hitting her apartment wouldn't draw attention to their robbery ring. Could be explained that one of them did it. OR maybe they want to hit the apartment of the neighbor who is away.
Let's suppose that Jen is taking the DVD player to get fixed/cleaned whatever. She brings it out to the car (can't manage that her briefcase, purse & the cell phone to mail). She comes back and gets her stuff... heads out of her apt ... locks the door and is grabbed OR sees something she shouldn't... They already thought she was gone.
Jen is taken into one of the apartments that's empty (They have keys) murdered and then her body is brought out via construction materials.
When I lived in an apt building, they always replaced carpets. Her body is rolled up with everything she's carrying and brought out back ...
One of the men is told to take her car and get rid of it. He returns and meets them out back near the woods... where the truck is waiting with Jen's body.
