Closing arguments start at 10 am eastern time. I believe the state goes first then the defense and the state can rebut. Then jury instructions and then deliberations. I don't think I can transcribe the closings.

Looks like Hector didn't sleep well last night, he appears to be sleeping now.

Mr Lewis of the PT is doing a good job of going over the time line and the witness's testimony of the case against Hector Rodriguez. He is leaving an hour for his partner for rebuttal.

The juror's are now taking lunch and resuming at 1:15 pm.

After lunch the defense will do their closing and then the rebuttal from the state.

Correction: The PT has 30 minutes left for closing.

This is from yesterday's trial events when Jesse Davis refused to testify. It was a very interesting day. Hector's former girlfriend testified first, Then it was to be Jesse, and then Hector didn't want to testify in his behalf. So the Defense rested.

You indicated to the court reporter you didn't want to testify. Is that correct?" asked Judge Alan Apte.

"That's correct," said Davis.

The judge ordered Davis to testify and even allowed the defense to ask questions with jurors out of the courtroom.

But Davis wouldn't respond and was held in contempt.

Since they are providing super for the jurors, do you think they might reach a verdict late today??

I think they could, it just depends on how late they want to stay. I believe this is in Orlando so they could be able to stay as long as they want.

Afternoon session beginning, bringing the jury back in.

Defense is making closing arguments now. They have 2 hrs also.

Defense is finished with closing and now the state is going to rebut. I believe they have 1 hr left.

Closing arguments are finished now taking a short recess.

Coming back and will go over the jury instructions.

Hector seems very tired and uninterested in these jury instructions. imo

Jurors verdict must be unanimous there are 5 alternative charges they can find for the defendant. 1st degree murder - Not Guilty. The juror's can use their phone to call and give an emergency #, then their phone's will be collected by a deputy while they are deliberating.

The jury instruction's lasted 1 hr and 20 minutes. The judge Mr Apte said he has been battling a cold all week. 3 alternate juror's have been dismissed, #14, #15, #16.

This trial started with opening statement on July 24th, so it has lasted 8 days.

The Juror's are ordering supper, not sure if they will eat first before they start deliberating.

It is after 5:07 pm in Orlando, FL right now.

I'll be on verdict watch with you Jewels, I saw most of the closing args today but none of the trial, tried to one day and it wasn't playing or had the weather or something and then got busy with other stuff.

Hector sure seemed disinterested today, and his crime buddy, he looks rather frightening.

Here's the TV station's twitter page for updates, I don't know if the camera will come back or not.

Yes Hector seemed very disinterested and tired. At the beginning I thought he was going to sleep.

The feed was bad at times, I stuck with it. I think he will be found guilty. I really didn't find the evidence the state presented very factual though. No fingerprints or not very much DNA, and witness's very shady. We will see though, how the juror's think.

You did lots of work transcribing and posting tweets, it was easy to catch up. :)

I hope someone will tweet when the jurors finish for the day - they're sequestered, right?

No I don't think they are. This is the first time they have ordered the juror's food.

I have a live feed, it is just showing the weather, I hope they break in with the verdict.
