Sadlly even not telling and locking them up doesn't always help. My 71 year old Uncle (a disabled Vet) was murdered when he surprised his neighbor's son trying to break into the lock box where he kept his pills.
The prep is currently in jail and going to trial in April on a Capital Murder charge. He had 25 prior arrests for a variety of offenses.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is so sad to hear, but a perfect example of what people undergoing pain treatment have to face. I am lucky my doc found a non narcotic that works for me. It was tiring to be screened for being a possible addict and at times treated like one. It is humiliating and unfair to those with legitimate pain. We shouldn't be treated like criminals.
I have a bit of sympathy for Jerry in that no one should be murdered. But that's all I've got to offer right now. JMO.
