It's also called scared of someone still being armed and without more rounds being able to shoot back.
I don't think that's gonna fly with a jury. More like a cowardly bully who unloads his gun into a car full of teenagers and then turns and runs. As I said before, if the teens had been armed, there would have been an exchange of gunfire. The attack was completely one-sided. Dunn's attorney may very well argue that Dunn fled in fear for his life, but without a witness or physical evidence to back it up, IMO, the jury will see him for the cowardly killer he is.
