I wish the State had brought in a Dodge salesperson to explain about the auto locking device. The driver could get out and all the other doors would remain locked. You had to physically unlock from the front. It was a pain and I can't tell you how many times my kids would yell "Unlock please". JMO

IMO, the point being made is that the homeless guy, even though he is a felon, wrote down the correct license plate number. IOW, his accuracy as a witness has been established.
